Chapter 656 Ease Relationship Tension

The whole family couldn't be happier.
A while ago, there was news from overseas that the murderer who killed Mark had been found.
He was a member of the Icarus Association.
Since the person had been found, it would not be difficult to handle the situation.
Although it involved the interests disputes between the Lost Vanguard and the Icarus Association, as long as they held the principle of not wanting to pass on the hatred, and took a step back, things would be easier to be dealt with.
And in the process of handling this matter, Harrison, who was the head of the Sapphire family, helped a lot.
Therefore, the relationship between Clarissa and him had also been eased.
They were no longer giving each other a cold shoulder and began to interact with each other. In fact, Anderson was happy with how it turned out.
After all, Clarissa didn't have many relatives.
Sometimes, it was important to have familial support.
It was just like how during the New Year's celebration, the more relatives there were, the more lively it was.
Fortunately, after her relationship tension with Harrison was relieved, she did not refuse it even when Harrison came to visit the Jordan Family during the New Year's celebration.
In another way, she was actually admitting her relationship with Harrison.
Naturally, when Harrison felt the change in her, he was happy.
A year passed in such a lively atmosphere.
As for Lauren, she did not spend the New Year in Flaucford this year, nor did she accompany Jameson to F Country.
Instead, she returned to the Visstead and went to the Jones' family to celebrate the New Year.
Previously, because of the relationship between her and Jameson, she almost broke her relationship with her father.
However, as time went by, he was still her father after all. Even if the relationship between them was tensed, it was eased up as she grew older.
Now, Lauren's son was already two years old.
The little fellow was at the age where he had just learned to speak. Every time he was on the phone, with a crisp voice, he would yell, "Grandpa, grandpa."
When Dexter heard the way his grandson called him, his heart melted.
At first, Dexter was still refusing to respond, but in truth, he was touched.
Later, the little fellow would call home several times, and gradually, Dexter couldn't stand it anymore as he began to respond to his grandson on the phone.
In the end, they bonded with each other.
Although Alex was married, she never had a child. Dexter had wanted a grandchild so bad but his wish didn't come true.
Now that he finally had a little grandson who called him grandpa every day, and he was so sweet, how could he not love him?
However, just when he became emotionally attached to the little fellow, he stopped calling him on the phone.
According to Lauren, the little fellow recently had a cold and was not feeling well, so he did not call him.
Hearing that, Dexter was extremely worried.
He wanted to visit him at Flaucford, but he couldn't let go of his ego.
After all, he and Lauren were still giving each other cold shoulders!
But if he didn't see him, he felt as if he had ants in his pants, which he was extremely anxious about it.
In the end, it was Alex who gave him a way out.
Since Lauren hadn't come back to celebrate the New Year for over two years, and they would be in Flaucford this year, Alex proposed that they should go back to Visstead to celebrate the New Year together.
Hearing that, Dexter snorted. He didn't say yes or no, but his attitude indicated that he tacitly approved of it.
Seeing his reaction, Alex could not help but laugh. She had no idea how to deal with this egoistic and children old man.
After making a phone call to Lauren, luckily, Lauren was sensible and immediately agreed to bring her son home to celebrate the New Year this year.
Naturally, Jameson would be worried about them, so he wanted to come along.
For that, Alex had no objection at all.
After all, the two of them had been married for so long and their relationship had always been relatively stable. In the future, they would be a family, so it was not impossible to not meet him at all.
Therefore, it was time to make things clear, and talk things through.
This would be a good opportunity to resolve a lot of misunderstandings and explain everything clearly, lest they continued to hold grudges on each other and create more conflicts in the future.
So, a few days before New Year's Eve, Lauren took Jameson and the little fellow back home.
After returning to Visstead, Dexter did not make things difficult for them.
However, he had been ignoring Lauren all the time, and it was obvious that he was still angry.
Needless to mention, Jameson was completely ignored like he was air.
But Jameson didn't mind. Anyway, in his opinion, he was marrying Lauren, and not her father.
Whether Dexter really cared about him, he wouldn't bother.
On the other hand, the only person Dexter was nice to was his grandson.
Although the little fellow was only two years old, he was fed well and was chubby.
Like Marfy, he was as cute as a pink and white ball of cotton candy.
Dexter would hold him play with him every day, and he loved him so much that he couldn't bear to let go of him.
For someone who was almost sixty years old, he would still play all kinds of childish games with the little fellow like he was a child, and had a lot of fun in it.
When Lauren saw it, she was actually moved.
But her father's persistence made it impossible for her to break the current deadlock any further.
Fortunately, the little fellow was very smart. it was unknown if he felt something was off, but every time, he would bring his mother to his grandfather together.
This way, even if Dexter didn't want to care about Lauren, for the sake of the child, he would still say a few words.
After all, she was his daughter, and it was impossible for their relationship to change.
As a result, after getting along for a while, the relationship between Lauren and her father became much more relaxed.
Moreover, Dexter noticed that after these two years, Lauren's temper was no longer as naive and impatient as it was two years ago.
She was now calmer and more reserved. Perhaps it was because she had a child, so she would see things from a broader angle.
Indeed, she very different from who she was in the past.
In truth, Dexter felt emotional about it, but he just couldn't himself bring up to say it.
However, someone would need to bring up the topic. If Dexter didn't want to say it, then Lauren would have to say it.
That night, just as the family finished their dinner, Dexter was about to take the little fellow to play in the yard again.
Suddenly, he heard Laurena said, "Dad, I want to talk to you."
Stunned, he tilted his head and glanced at her. Surprisingly, he did not reject her request.
Instead, he asked coldly. "What do you want to talk about?"
Pursing her lips, she glanced at Jameson, who was nearby.
As Jameson was lying there leisurely, with his arms crossed, no one could tell whether he was happy or angry.
But when he looked at her, there was a sense of support in his eyes.
Then, Lauren said softly, "Let's talk in the study upstairs."
Dexter paused for a moment, but he didn't refuse.
After handing the little fellow in his arms to Alex, he took the lead and went upstairs.
Lauren followed behind, and when she passed by Alex, he raised his fist and cheered for her.
Seeing that, she couldn't help but laugh.
When they arrived at the study upstairs, Dexter sat down on the sofa, preparing to make tea as he asked. "Go ahead if you have something to say."
