Chapter 531 He Blamed Himself

Roland looked solemn and said seriously, "If I insist on asking you to go home with me, such a thing won't happen."
Sophia didn't expect him to say that. She felt warm in her heart and then shook her head.
"How is it your fault?"
"You're my wife. It's my fault that you got hurt."
Sophia was speechless.
Sophia's features were gaining a rosy color again. She didn't know what to say.
Roland's lips curled up slightly as he reached out to stroke her hair.
The car finally stopped in front of a villa after travelling over the mountain roads. Harmin Joe, Roland's assistant, got out of  the car and opened the car door for them. Roland was the first to get out of the car. Just as Sophia was about to get out of the car, she was picked up by Roland in bridal style as he strode over to the villa.
Sophia was slightly startled. She struggled subconsciously, but Roland chided her in a low voice, "Don't move!"
She pouted and swallowed her words of refusal when she saw his frowning face.
Well! Sophia would just take it as Roland was being a gentleman to carry her as her knees were injured.
Nonetheless, when Sophia leaned on Roland's broad shoulders, she felt her heart was filled with warmth.
The villa that Roland lived in was massive, at least several times larger than the Buick family's villa.
He carried Sophia all the way into the house, and then went straight to the second floor. Roland kicked open the door of his bedroom and went in before putting her on the bed.
The bedroom was designed in black and white palette, which was in line with the style of a man. The decorations and furnishings were not necessarily very costly, but one could tell it was carefully designed at first glance.
Roland placed her on the bed and then took off her shoes.
Sophia stiffened. She quickly stopped him and said, "I'll do it myself!"
However, before she could reach out her hand, Roland stopped her. Roland raised his gaze to look at her and said with a smile, "I have never helped a woman take off her shoes. You are the first."
Sophia was slightly startled. Her face turned red as she was even more flustered now.
She wore a pair of white skate shoes today. Roland's slender fingers untied her shoelaces effortlessly and took off the shoes.
Then, he took off her pink socks.
Only now did Sophia realize her ankle was swelling as she had sprained her ankle. The moment she touched it, she felt a sharp pain.
But just now, she didn't even notice it herself. How did he find out?
Before Sophia could figure it all out, Roland frowned and said, "Sit here for a while. I'll be right back."
After that, he turned around and walked out of the room.
When he reached the door, he suddenly paused, then turned around and added, "Remember to take off your pants. The wound on your knee needs to be tended to in time."
Sophia was speechless.
Three minutes later, Roland came in again with a first aid kit in his hand.
As soon as he entered the door, he noticed that Sophia was still sitting on the bed as before, without taking off his pants.
There was a flash of displeasure between his eyebrows. Roland walked up to her and squatted down, saying in a deep voice, "Why don't you listen to me?"
Sophia didn't know how to describe how she was feeling now. "You're a man. Do you think it's appropriate for you to ask a girl to take off her pants at your will?"
Roland's eyes narrowed slightly, as he could tell that she was shy. Suddenly, he laughed evilly.
"I've seen every part of your body, so you don't have to be shy."
Sophia's face, which was already red, was as red as tomatoes now. She pushed him away. "Jerk!"
"Ha!" Roland quickly grabbed her hand, as if he didn't think she was embarrassed enough. He even gave her a peck on her cheek.
Sophia was at a loss of words.
She could only sob and chided in her heart, "This pervert!"
"Honey, if we don't treat the wound now, it could lead to inflammation. Let me have a look."
Roland coaxed her like he was coaxing a child. After that, he wanted to take off her pants.
Sophia shrank back in fear. "No! I'm going to the hospital," She yelled as he tried to stop Roland with her hand.
"The doctors in the hospital are not as gentle as me, your husband."
"Then I'll do it myself!"
It was Roland's turn to be speechless.
Facing Sophia's unyielding attitude, Roland finally ran out of patience. He stood up and sized Sophia up.
Sophia grabbed her pants with both hands and glared at him.
Moments later, Roland's lips suddenly curled up and he turned to leave.
Sophia was confused.
She watched him strode out of the room.. The door then slammed with a loud bang.
Sophia was a bit confused. Was he angry?
She felt a little wronged. He had such a bad temper!
"Why does he have to get so angry for not letting him apply medicine for her?"
And the face he pulled in front of her!
Sophia thought to herself. Thinking back what she had been through the whole day, she felt so vexed and felt she was about to cry again.
However, soon, the door suddenly flung open and Roland came in again.
Roland had a cold expression on his face. Without saying a word, he strode over and picked her up. Then he walked outside.
Sophia was stunned. "What are you doing?"
Having ran out of patience, Roland said, "Going to the hospital."
Sophia was speechless.
His temper was indeed bad, but he had been so kind to her. She felt at a loss at what to do about it.
......
When they arrived at the hospital, it was very late. The doctor on duty applied the medicine to her and told her some things to take note of, including her diet. Then they headed back home.
On the way back, since Sophia's leg had been bandaged, it was even more inconvenient for her to move now. Hence, Roland carried her upstairs again.
All of a sudden, Sophia thought, "We're going to live under the same roof tonight?"
In fact, she also understood that at this moment, if she insisted on leaving, it would be really unreasonable. But, on the other hand, she was not ready to stay with him.
Roland seemed to be able to read her mind. He stretched out his hand and stroked her head hard, saying, "Don't think too much. I'll sleep in the guest room tonight."
Sophia was already embarrassed. When she heard Roland's words, she felt even more so. She could not help protesting in a low voice, "I'm not thinking too much!"
Roland chuckled and didn't argue with her. He placed her on the bed and then wrung the hot towel to wipe her face. Sophia felt bad, but her attempt to do things herself was stopped by him several times. After thinking for a while, she changed the subject to lighten up the atmosphere.
"That man just now..."
"Don't have to worry about that. I've already sent someone to deal with him."
"To deal with him?" Sophia frowned slightly. "Don't you need to make a police report?"
As soon as she finished his words, Roland suddenly looked up at her. After a pause, he said, "I will call the police. Don't worry."
After that, he let her lie down and tucked her in. Then, he went out with a towel in his hand.
As soon as the door was locked behind him, the gentle expression on Roland's face immediately turned cold. He picked up his phone and called Quan.
"Quan, how is it going?"
"Boss, we've dealt with it!"
"Yes." Roland thought for a while and then added, "Find Marty and ask him to send someone to the police station as a matter of routine."
