Chapter 85 Coordinating One Stratagem With Another
Clarissa did not speak, only smiling while holding the milk tea.
Anderson said a few words. Looking at her smiling face, he couldn't complain anymore and smiled with her.
"Tell me! Have you already had a plan?"
Clarissa nodded.
Although she was surprised to see Anderson here, it was similar to what she had originally planned.
She had wanted to competed with Lara again.
But it would be easier and fairer to hold the competition if it was proposed by Anderson.
Anderson seemed to have thought of this. He smiled warmly, "It seems that I shouldn't have said that."
Clarissa shook her head in a hurry.
"No, it's nice that you came here."
She didn't say that although she had had a plan in her heart before she came here, she was a little diffident in her heart.
She... didn't dare to believe anyone in the Richardson family anymore.
It was Carson who personally confirmed her crime five years ago.
Even if she could compete with Lara again, she couldn't make sure that the competition would be fair, because there was no impartial judge.
It was great that Anderson was here.
She felt that she suddenly had someone behind her back and became more confident!
Lauren walked out of the hotel and said with a smile, "Oh, what's going on here? Clarissa, hurry up and introduce him to me."
Clarissa pursed her lips and smiled, and then pulled Lauren and introduced her to Anderson.
"This is my best friend, Lauren Jones."
"Lauren, he is Anderson Jordan, my..."
She paused, and she flushed to the ears.
Finally, she whispered, "My husband."
Lauren opened her eyes wide in surprise.
"What? You... have got married..."
Clarissa quickly covered her mouth.
"Shh! Keep your voice lower!"
She explained in a low voice, "We got married secretly."
Lauren nodded with understanding.
After Clarissa loosened her hand, Lauren glanced at Anderson, and then looked at Clarissa, giving a thumbs-up sign.
"You guys are amazing. In such a short period of time, you actually... Well, I admire you."
Clarissa smiled awkwardly.
Anderson was very dissatisfied with Clarissa's hesitant attitude, as if he had disgraced her.
So he did not speak and expressing his dissatisfaction by silence.
Lauren asked, "Clarissa, tell me honestly. It has been five years, and do you remember how to draw that draft? It will be so embarrassing if you can't draw it tomorrow!"
Clarissa smiled.
She took out a colorful hand-drawn draft from her handbag and said, "I have prepared for this. I painted it based on my memory before, and it is exactly the same as the design five years ago. I was afraid that I would forget how to draw it, so I drew it personally. Tomorrow I just need to draw like this again."
Seeing this, Lauren nodded in relief.
"That's good. It's late, and I have to go back now. I will come to see you tomorrow."
Clarissa nodded, "Okay."
Just as Lauren was leaving, a black shadow flashed in the dark, and then disappeared in the dark night.
Looking at the hot milk tea in her hand, Clarissa took a sip and suddenly said, "Anderson, I suddenly want to go to the bathroom. Can you wait for me here?"
Anderson said in a deep voice, "I will go with you."
"There's no need. The bathroom is on the first floor. I can go there by myself. Take the milk tea for me."
Anderson frowned slightly.
But under her gaze, he didn't say anything and nodded.
Clarissa went to the bathroom on the first floor.
It was inconvenient for her to bring the handbag into the bathroom.
She handed the handbag to the waiter standing at the door and said, "Can you keep it for me for two minutes? I'll be out soon."
That waitress often encountered such a situation. They stood here to provide this service to customers.
So she nodded, took Clarissa's handbag respectfully, and gave her a number plate. After Clarissa came out, she could take her bag with the number plate.
Clarissa came out soon.
After coming out, she took the bag with the number plate and then left the hotel.
At the corner of the stairs, a tall figure looked in Clarissa's direction, and then then looked at the colorful draft in hand. He sneered.
The next day.
At ten o'clock in the morning, Clarissa and Lara both arrived as appointed.
Lara's face was no longer pale. She was in a much better spirit, and her eyes were even somewhat smug.
On the contrary, Clarissa had always been frowning.
When she saw Lara, she was so angry, as if she wanted to kill her. But there were so many people here, so she couldn't lose her temper and could only suppress her fury.
Looking at Clarissa like this, Lara became even smugger.
As the notary public of this competition, Anderson and Carson also came here.
Three teachers from Winters School of Fine Arts came here together with them.
They were all the examiners of the test that year, and Anderson asked them to come here.
The rule of the competition was simple.
Clarissa and Lara should stay in their own rooms to draw the draft of the design five years ago in an hour.
The one whose draft was the most similar to the design five years ago would be the owner of the design.
Clarissa knew that Lara only saw her design the day before the exam. She might be impressed by her design, but she couldn't remember it more deeply than her.
Five years had passed by. Since it was not something Lara painted herself, no matter how she copied it, she couldn't capture the spirit of the design.
Moreover, last night, she gave Lara a gift.
Lara must be very happy at the moment!
Thinking of this, Clarissa smiled coldly.
Without hesitation, she begun to draw smoothly on the hand-drawn board of the computer.
Time passed by bit by bit.
After about forty minutes later, one of the doors was suddenly opened, and Lara walked out.
"I'm done."
Carson nodded.
Elliot was naturally there. Seeing Lara come out, he stepped forward with concern, "How's it? Do you finish drawing it?"
Lara smiled very confidently.
"Of course, I have already sent it to the mailbox prescribed by the principal. Elliot, I have said that I drew the draft by myself. Are you still doubting me now?"
Seeing her be so determined, Elliot's suspicion disappeared completely.
"What nonsense are you talking about? I always believe you."
Next to them, Anderson sneered mockingly.
After another ten minutes, Clarissa came out of the room.
Compared to Lara's confidence, she didn't seem so relaxed.
She said to Carson, "I have sent the draft to your mailbox. It has been five years, so I may have forgotten some details and can't draw an exactly same draft. But... I think it's all right."
Hearing this, Carson frowned and gave her a worried look.
Finally, without saying anything, he clicked open his mail box with the three examiners.
Comparing the two drafts, their expressions all changed.
