Chapter 939 To Nimouth

"Welcome to the Flaucford," she said with a smile.
She then hugged Emmeline with open arms.
Emmeline was thrilled as well. On the one hand, she was relieved that clues had come so quickly; on the other hand, she was pleased to see Clarissa.
Because Anderson was working at the time, he was unable to pick them up. Fortunately, he had called them in advance.
They expressed their understanding and waited for him to return from work so they could discuss the matter.
Pattie had already cooked sumptuous dinner when they walked into the house.
She had heard of Jara and Emmeline. Clarissa had brought a bunch of local specialties back from Blink City the previous time she visited. Pattie had always been gushing over those things.
At this time, she felt that Jara and Emmeline were good-mannered. They were indeed a good match!
Then, the group of people sat down to eat in the dining room. Marf and Anne were not at home today since they had classes, which offered them peace.
Clarissa took them around Flaucford after lunch. Jara had visited the country several times because of his family, so he was familiar with these places.
As for Emmeline, she was enthralled by everything she saw since it was her first visit to Ascijan.
The three of them strolled around. Before long, they arrived at Holland's company.
Clarissa chuckled and suggested, "Hm... We've arrived at your place. Would you like to invite us up and have a seat?"
Although Jara had already taken over most of the business of the Holland family, he still didn't often come to Holland's building.
After all, he still held a grudge against the Holland family because of her mother.
Despite Claus's flattery in recent years, the hatred could not be eradicated in one or two days.
Therefore, when he heard Clarissa's words, all he did was stare at her and say, "Go visit it yourself. Aren't you familiar with this place?"
Clarissa chuckled as she noticed he appeared to be offended. "You can't be more familiar with me, no matter what. Well, it doesn't matter if you don't want to go. I don't care anyway. But Emmeline is here, and she will be the place's future hostess. Isn't it normal for her to inspect her own territory?"
Jara had not considered this until hearing her words.
Immediately, he turned to look at Emmeline.
Of course, Emmeline knew what he was thinking. He had a grudge against the family, so she didn't put much pressure on him.
Instead, she gave a gentle smile. "Forget about it. We still have a lot of places to go. Let's not waste any more time."
Watching the couple echo each other, Clarissa helplessly shook her head and sighed with emotion.
"Aren't you guys just disregarding my presence? Keep being lovey-dovey and all. Hmph!"
Hearing this, Emmeline pressed her lips and chuckled.
Later, the three of them strolled for a long time. It was not until six o'clock in the evening that the car arrived at the Jordan Group.
Clarissa called Anderson to check if he had finished his work. She would pick him up and return home together if he was done.
Anderson didn't keep them waiting long. After receiving the call for a few minutes, he came down.
After getting in the car, they didn't go back to the villa in a hurry. Instead, they reserved a table in The Curry Palace, which was close by. They then had dinner outside.
After taking a seat, Clarissa ordered the dishes. While waiting for the food to be served, the four began conversing about their reasons for visiting Ascijan.
"Clarissa did some research on Mr. Gill, whom you mentioned earlier. I'm sure you're all familiar with the details. Coincidentally, I called grandma today, and she claimed to have met Mr. Gill. She also mentioned that she had some contact with him. She's willing to refer us to him. Till then, I can go with you all to find him."
Emmeline's eyes lit up as Anderson murmured it.
"Really? That's great."
When they were in the car this afternoon, Clarissa had already informed them of the information she found yesterday.
Knowing that Mr. Gill was not an ordinary man, they were concerned that he would refuse to assist them if they approached him rashly.
But now, with Madam Jordan's support, they would definitely be able to achieve it.
Anderson chortled. "Don't get your hopes up. As far as I know, Mr. Gill's temperament has changed drastically ever since his great-great-granddaughter went missing. He is no longer as easy to get along with as he once was. Even with grandma's help, it's difficult to conclude if he'll be willing to give up the jade."
Jara frowned slightly. "I'll get the item regardless of whether he's willing or not."
With a nod, Anderson added, "We'll see when the time comes. If it doesn't work out, we'll think of a way together."
Later, when the dinner was served, they likewise stopped talking about the topic and turned to talk about the meal.
It was a joyous and peaceful meal. The four of them then went home together in a car. Pattie had already cleaned the guest room and made all the necessary preparations.
Because it was too late and they had to leave early tomorrow morning, Jara didn't pay a visit to Anderson's Madam Jordan and her husband. He only greeted them over the phone. In addition, he expressed his gratitude for their recommendation before going to bed.
The next day, Anderson prepared everything for the company ahead of time. Then, he accompanied Clarissa and the rest to Nimouth.
Nimouth was located in Ascijan's southern region. It was a border city with thriving tourism industry.
Mr. Gill lived in Klyesy Village, which was located below Nimouth.
The village was once very prosperous. When it was most populated, there were tens of thousands of residents. It was considered a large population, considering the economy was not as evolved before.
After the city's economic boom, young people began to leave the village. Therefore, only a few people remained in the village. The village was rapidly deteriorating today. Only a few poor young people were willing to stay here, relying on handmade crafts and tourists' purchases.
It was still early when the four arrived in Klyesy Village. Under the guidance of the locals, they made their way to Mr. Gill's villa.
In fact, it was easy to find Gill's villa because it was the only villa in the village.
A red-tiled structure with white walls stood in front of them. The villa was relatively large, and it had a locked gate. Behind it was a mountain, and they could faintly see the plants inside the villa through the wall. Perhaps it had been a long time since someone had cleaned them up, so many of the leaves yellowed, giving them a desolate and lonely appearance.
Then, Jara went forward and knocked on the door.
"Is anyone there?"
There was no response from inside.
He knocked a couple more times, but no one seemed to be inside. There was no response at all, let alone any sound.
"Are you sure Mr. Gill is home?" he asked, turning to face the local who guided them.
The guide was a middle-aged man. Seeing this, he scratched his head in confusion and murmured, "He should be here. He's old, has poor eyesight, and doesn't go out at ordinary times. He should be at home at this hour."
As he stated, he did not give up and personally knocked on the door. Then he yelled a few phrases in the local dialect.
After a while, there was finally a response from the villa.
It was an old and hoarse voice, but it was full of energy.
"Stop knocking!"
Then, he opened the gate from the inside as he shouted.
