Chapter 1054 Did Not Appear

However, there was only silence in the room.
Coby did not appear.
Sierra had anticipated Clarissa to make a scene and hurt others, so she was not surprised at this point. She was just a little nervous.
She scanned the surroundings with trepidation. When she realized there was no one else around, she whispered, "Clarissa, are they not here? Why don't we leave right now?"
Clarissa frowned.
Before she could answer, she suddenly heard a very light sneer coming from somewhere.
"Miss Chapman, do you think you can threaten me with the life of a servant? You might as well give it a try. Test if I'll let you guys go if you strangle her to death."
Clarissa was stunned and turned to look out of the window.
Only then did he realize that there was a small speaker on the big tree opposite the window.
She couldn't help rolling her eyes.
They had always known Coby had installed a camera in the house to monitor them. However, they did not expect him to install a sound system as well.
Since he could hear her, Clarissa didn't want to give up so easily.
Therefore, she did not let go of the servant in her hands but instead exclaimed coldly, "She's a member of yours. Aren't you worried that if she dies, the others under your supervision will be disappointed? How about this? I'll let her go as long as you're willing to come out and tell me the purpose of you taking me here."
Clarissa also understood that a servant's life could not persuade Coby to let her go.
As a result, she brought up a condition that was a lot less demanding.
However, Coby did not agree to the condition.
The sound system picked up Coby's low voice as if he was mocking her.
"I told you I'd let you know when the time comes. Before that, you should stay put and not try to escape. Playing games isn't a good idea. It's pointless in this situation."
He then issued an order to the servant.
"Take Miss Chapman to the bathroom."
The servant answered, his voice shaking with terror. She then glanced up at Clarissa with a horrified and pleading look.
After all, Clarissa knew that Coby took one's life lightly.
She just wanted to give it a try. Anyway, she had no intention of harming the servant.
So, when she saw Coby was not going to budge, she had no choice but to put her hand down and follow the servant to the bathroom.
After that, she returned to the room and abruptly stated, "Mr. Marsh, you don't have to use this chain to lock me up since you know I can't get away, do you? After all, I am pregnant. My mental and physical health are important to me. Maybe I'll become ill if you keep me locked. How will you explain it to Anderson when he comes to find me?"
She spoke in a half-joking and half-serious tone.
In fact, she did not expect Coby to agree.
But he hesitated for a moment and murmured, "I've locked you up because I'm scared you'll do something harmful to yourself because you're too excited. Now it seems that you are quite optimistic, so I can let go of you."
"You don't have to lock her anymore," he told the maid as he talked.
The servant froze for a few moments before politely replying, "Yes."
Clarissa smiled as she raised her brows.
"In that case, thank you."
There was no response from the other side.
After the servants set the breakfast, she went out.
Clarissa sat down at the dining table after walking over. When she noticed Sierra standing there, she stood up and dragged her to a seat as well.
"Mom, don't worry. You should eat and drink as much as you can."
How could Sierra be so bold as her?
She expressed her concern by saying, "Clarissa, if we remain here, when will we be able to leave?"
When she saw Clarissa picking up a piece of bread and stuffing it into her mouth, she was terrified. She immediately removed the bread from Clarissa's mouth.
"Clarissa, spit it out! He's so cruel that he's unconcerned about his servant's life. How can you eat what he's prepared? Aren't you afraid that he'll poison us?"
Seeing Sierra's anxious expression, Clarissa burst out laughing.
"Mom, don't worry. If he wanted to kill us, we would've been dead already. There's no need for him to poison us. So don't worry, we can eat this."
She filled up a bowl of porridge for Sierra as she spoke.
"You must be hungry after a long day. Eat more to replenish your energy. If not, how can you have the strength to fight?"
Sierra's heart remained in a state of shock and uncertainty.
When she saw how delicious Clarissa's meal looked, her tummy grumbled. She hadn't eaten since yesterday afternoon, after all.
After some consideration, she concluded that Clarissa was right.
Well, if the other side wished to kill them, they didn't have to poison them.
As a result, Sierra began to eat with peace of mind.
After breakfast, the two of them finally regained a little strength.
Clarissa was forced to stay in bed for the entire day and night. As a result, her body had been stiff for a long time. Now that she had the opportunity, she slowly walked around the room.
At this time, she noticed that this was a villa. It seemed to be on the beach.
From the window, she could view the golden sand and the blue sea as the seagulls passed by.
Noticing this, she narrowed her eyes.
The beach?
She didn't recall any sea near Sierra's place.
Clarissa wasn't too sure as she didn't know much about the place. Afterward, she quietly withdrew her gaze, turned to Sierra, and signaled to her.
Immediately, Sierra understood. She walked over and helped Sierra up. The two of them then walked to the chairs and sat down.
It was a fairly long couch chair that could comfortably seat two individuals at the same time.
Just as Clarissa lay down, she exclaimed loudly, "I'm tired. Let's take a rest now."
Sierra nodded. "Get some rest. I'll lie down with you."
After that, she lay down as well.
They just laid there silently, and it didn't appear as they communicated with each other through the monitor.
But in fact, Clarissa was asking Sierra in a low voice, "Mom, I saw a sea outside. Is there any sea near home?"
Sierra frowned ever so slightly and said in a low voice, "No, it's all deserts over there. Other than Goddess River, there is no sea."
Clarissa's heart sank.
There was no sea?
So, were they not in the same city anymore?
Sierra appeared to be aware of this as well, and her countenance shifted slightly.
However, she was very familiar with this area. She remembered after a while.
