Chapter 286 A Little Weird

Clarissa paused, and said in a deep voice, "You are Anderson's aunt, and you have been taking care of him since he was a child, so I have always been polite to you."
But I'm a rather strange person, and I don't like other people interfering in my personal affairs. If you must interfere, please forgive me for not agreeing with you."
"What's more, Starbay Villa is my home. If you want to come here next time, please inform me in advance."
"As for those antique vases, I didn't know that they were sent by you before. But don't worry, I just let people put them away. If you need them, I can send them back to you. I guarantee that I didn't throw away anyone of them."
As she said, she really asked the servants to take out the vases.
Chantel's face suddenly changed with anger.
"Clarissa! Don't act dumb in front of me! Am I talking about the vases? I mean that you don't deserve to be with Anderson at all!"
"You're just an ignorant woman. Who do you think you're? Anderson dotes on you now, but do you think that he will spoil you forever?"
"Let me tell you. There can only be one hostess of the Jordan Family, and that is..."
"Chantel!"
A cold and stern roar sounded at the door all of a sudden.
Immediately afterwards, Anderson walk in with his face darkened.
As soon as Chantel saw him, she immediately bit back her words. The furious expression on her face disappeared in an instant as she walked to Anderson with a smiling face.
"Anderson, are you back?"
Anderson frowned hard.
"What are you doing here?"
Chantel smiled awkwardly when she saw that he looked mad.
"Nothing. I just pass by here today, so I stopped by to have a look."
After a pause, she said, "Anderson, just now, I only felt a little uncomfortable in heart because she has replaced the antique vases I sent to you before, so I spoke to her sternly. I didn't mean to aim at her. But your wife behaved as if I wanted to take the vases back. She's really..."
She did not finish her words, but what she meant was obvious.
She meant that Clarissa was narrow-minded and couldn't be criticized.
As an elder, she had to look on Clarissa's face while speaking.
Anderson glanced at her.
"I let them put away the vases."
Chantel was taken aback.
Clarissa opened and shut her mouth, unspeaking.
Chantel reacted and smiled with embarrassment.
"Well, it seems to be a misunderstanding, ha-ha... I thought it was Clarissa who put them away! I was even wondering if you young people don't like such ancient stuff. If you don't like it, I will send you something else another day."
Anderson interrupted her without hesitation, "There's no need."
He said and held Clarissa's hand.
"Do you still have something else to do? If no, just go home. Clarissa and I are tired and want to rest."
The smile on Chantel's face froze again.
After a moment, she nodded.
"Nothing. In this case, I won't bother you anymore. I'm leaving, goodbye."
After finishing speaking, she left with tail tucked firmly between her legs.
After Chantel left, Clarissa looked at her back and frowned.
Anderson thought she was still unhappy about what happened just now, so he sighed and explained, "She's just like that. Don't take her words to heart. Next time, I will tell them to be more careful don't let her come in casually."
Clarissa shook her head.
"No, I just think it's weird."
"What?"
Clarissa turned her head and looked at Anderson.
"Don't you think it was strange? She suddenly came here today, lost her temper at first and then asked about the vases."
Originally, Anderson didn't pay much attention to this matter. Hearing her words, he also felt it a little weird.
Chantel was careless and mean, and she was easy to be instigated by others, so she always did something bad.
But she was very generous about money and property.
Even if she didn't like Clarissa and wanted to find fault with her, it was impossible for her to make a big fuss about what she had sent to Anderson.
Since she had given the vases to Anderson, they could display the vases as they liked. That was their freedom, and what did it have to do with her?
But that day, she seemed to come here on purpose and deliberately mention those things.
Thinking of this, Anderson frowned.
Clarissa said in a deep voice, "Back then, the servants wiped the vases cautiously every day, for fear of breaking them accidentally. I thought that it was so troublesome."
"That's why I let them put away the vases and put something nice and practical on it. I didn't expect that she would come over and talk about this. I always feel that she deliberately talked about this because she had other meanings."
Anderson nodded and then comforted her, "Don't think too much. I will send someone to investigate this matter. Just ignore her when she comes here again."
"Okay." Clarissa said.
The next day, Clarissa went to film as usual. During the break, she overheard two actors say that there was a jewelry auction in Flaucford three days later.
She didn't have much interest in jewelry, but she remembered that they would celebrate Matteo's seventieth birthday the next month.
Matteo didn't have any special hobbies, but loved to collect some beautiful jewelry.
It was said that when she was young, she had once studied jewelry design from a teacher.
Since the auction could be discussed in this way, its scale must be grand, and there should be many priceless treasures.
After thinking about it, Clarissa inquired about the address of the jewelry auction, and then asked Anderson to get two tickets. She wanted to go there and have a look.
Three days later, in the jewelry auction.
Clarissa wore a black lace dress, a red windbreaker and a hat. She dressed in a low profile.
Anderson wore a black suit and still looked neat. They took the number plate, walked to their designated position and sat down.
Their seats were not in the front. Clarissa didn't want to attract people's attention, so she ordered the seats in the third row.
Unexpectedly, as soon as they sat down, they saw a familiar figure walking in.
"Marty? Why is he here?"
As the heir of one of the four major families in Flaucford, Marty was different from his friends. He was natural and unrestrained, and never followed the rules. Moreover, he liked to flirt with women, which made his parents very helpless.
Marty also saw them. After all, although Clarissa kept a low profile, Anderson was next to her.
Others rarely saw Anderson, and maybe they didn't recognize him for a while, but Marty grew up together with Anderson, so he naturally recognized him at a glance.
"Anderson, Clarissa!"
Marty shouted in excitement, and was about to run over.
Clarissa was afraid that his loud voice would attract the attention of the people around, so she put a finger on her lips and shushed.
