Chapter 902 The Secret Plan
"Have you made up your mind?" Jara said as he took the towel from the servant next to him, wiped his hands, and walked over.
Both of them nodded.
"Since that's the case, let's go to the meeting room to chat," Jara suggested, taking a deep look at Clarissa.
Only then did the three of them walk into the meeting room.
The three of them discussed about it until late that night.
No one outside had any idea what they were talking about. They only knew it was the next morning when they came out again, and the sky had already turned bright.
At this moment, in a beautiful manor thousands of miles away.
In a hushed tone, a guy respectfully lowered his head and reported to the man sitting in the rattan chair, "Anderson and his wife went to Eflium yesterday and spent the entire night talking with Jara. They're rumored to be working together to deal with the Icarus Association."
The man lay there with his eyes closed. The warm morning sunshine sprinkled on his face and body. He looked noble on the surface, but to the outsiders, he appeared to be indifferent.
"Do you know when they're going to do it?" he asked.
The subordinate shook his head.
"I'm not sure for the time being."
There was a brief silence.
He flashed a smile and waved his hand. "Then follow up on that."
His subordinate had no idea what the man meant when he giggled. He gave him a puzzled look, but he nonetheless obeyed the command.
After he left, the man sitting on the lounge chair finally opened his eyes.
He sat up and reached for a box of fish food on the side. He then took a handful and tossed it into the pond in front of him.
The fishes in the pond immediately gathered around him.
Looking at the fish vying for food, he smiled. "The bait has been put down. Will they fall for the bait like you all?"
No one spoke in the empty courtyard.
The only response to him was the gurgling of the fish when they were scrambling for food.
After throwing the last piece of fish food into the pond, he stood up.
As he approached the house, a servant appeared out of nowhere. "Sir," he said gently, "do you want to go back to your room to rest?" he asked.
The man waved his hand.
"No. I'll go to the quiet room."
It was a house that was completely isolated and silent.
The house's walls and glass were completely composed of soundproof materials.
One could not hear anything outside of the room except for the noise within it.
There was a white bed in the center of the house.
A slender woman was lying on the bed. Her hair was scattered everywhere, giving her a messy and decadent beauty.
The man stood there and looked at her quietly.
After that, a doctor in a white coat appeared. He was taken aback when he saw the man and dashed over.
"Sir, what can I do for you?" he asked respectfully, bowing slightly.
"How's the thing I told you about?" the man asked of the woman sleeping within.
The doctor replied, "Everything is going well. She will entirely transform into what you want in half a month."
Upon hearing that, the man nodded.
Then, he added, " Send her back once you're done."
"Yes, sir," the doctor replied promptly.
The man remained still. In the sun, his handsome face shone brightly, and his eyes were slightly contracted.
"In half a month, things should end over there. Oh, you'll know what to do at that point."
The doctor said, "Yes. Please rest assured, sir."
After a while of standing there, the man then left.
......
During this period of time, the Icarus Association had been attacked from all sides.
Lost Vanguard, Jordan Family, including Ethanbez Family, which had recently developed in F Country, and some other organizations associated with these families united at this time.
They were well aware that they had stung the hornet's nest, but they had not expected the severity of the consequences.
After an intense battle, both their business and dark forces suffered heavy losses.
However, no matter how much Jara tried to force them, those people sought to persuade him that Emmeline was no longer in their hands.
Hearing that, Jara was enraged. In a fit of anger, he took down dozens of their businesses in a row. Like a leopard caught in a rage, he forced them to continuously retreat and no longer be able to handle his attacks.
As the saying went, "A lean camel is bigger than a horse." The Icarus Association's power should not be underestimated, even if they are threatened now.
Besides, they didn't want to get into a life-or-death situation in which neither of them would benefit.
As a result, when the Icarus Association representatives arrived to seek peace, Anderson decided that both sides should temporarily cease fighting and first negotiate.
The negotiation was then fixed for the following day.
That night, just as he walked out after finishing his meal with Clarissa, he saw Jara drinking in the courtyard.
Behind the castle was a big garden. There were also a few benches in the garden, as well as some beautiful exotic plants.
At that time, Jara was sitting on the bench, one leg partially bent and the other resting on the chair. While drinking wine, he raised his head to look at the moon in the sky.
Anderson's steps came to a halt, but he still walked over in the end.
"Have you come up with any conditions for tomorrow's negotiations?"
He sat down on a chair next to Jara and asked calmly.
Jara didn't even bother to glance at him. Rather, he grabbed a bottle of wine from the ground and tossed it over.
Anderson reached out to take it. Then he scowled as he looked at the wine.
Seeing this, Jara asked coldly, "What's wrong? Is the wine not good enough?"
Of course, the wine couldn't be poor. After all, Jara's wine collection was unquestionably the best.
On the other hand, Anderson had resolved not to consume alcohol after having children.
After all, he was now a father. He had to be a role model for his kids. He had instilled the practice even when the kids were not present.
However, as he glanced at Jara's expressionless face at this point, he finally opened it. Then he raised his glass to Jara's and took a sip.
The wine had a higher level of concentration. After a sip, he inquired, "They have been reluctant to admit that Emmeline is in their hands. Perhaps someone else has taken her away. It's not the best idea for you to only ask them for Emmeline."
Jara sneered.
He took another big gulp of wine and said in a low voice, "So should I let them go when they have put Emmeline in danger for no reason?"
Upon hearing his words, Anderson gave a faint smile.
"Well, they suffered a great loss this time."
"Ha!
"Anderson, I used to think you were a man, but now I realize you're only so-so," Jara remarked as he turned to face him.
