Chapter 391 Falling Into Someone's Trap
Clarissa felt a throbbing pain in her head.
It was as if someone had used an axe to split open her head. It was as if it was about to explode.
She was also exhausted and felt a sharp pain at the back of her head.
With a painful groan, she wrapped herself in the blanket and subconsciously stretched out her hand to put it on the body next to her. She closed her eyes and shouted, "Anderson..."
After a long time, no one responded.
Clarissa finally felt that something was wrong and slowly opened her eyes.
However, she saw that the room was dim and it was decorated in black-and-white and in a minimalist style, all of which were not the styles she was familiar with.
"Where am I?"
The memory before she fell into a coma slowly came back to her. She jogged her memory in a daze. When her gaze fell on a menu on the bedside table, she shuddered and woke up instantly.
This was the Musi Hotel!
Clarissa was shocked and quickly sat up. However, as soon as she moved, she realized that there was someone else on the bed besides her.
Jara!
Her expression changed!
Jara also woke up groggily at this time. He frowned before he saw the woman sitting in front of him. He was stunned first, and then he slowly smiled.
"Seven, even if you want to sleep with me, you don't have to do it in such a violent way. You drugged me in my wine and lured me here? Gee, you're being so forward, but I like it."
"Shut up!"
Clarissa flew into a rage.
She covered her head and recalled carefully. Then she looked to the side and found that both her bag and phone were there.
Clarissa quickly picked up her phone and looked at the text message that Lauren had sent to her before.
The text message was still there, and the number was also confirmed to be Lauren's.
Her face was faintly pale, her fingers trembling. She paused her fingers on the screen for a while before Clarissa pressed on the call button.
It rang for a long time before someone answered.
"Clarissa."
Lauren's voice came from the other end of the line, clear and pleasing to the ear.
Clarissa felt that her throat was a little dry. After a few seconds, she asked with difficulty, "Are you alright?"
"Me? What can happen to me?"
Lauren sounded like she was in a good mood and she was not as anxious and helpless as she was on the phone when she asked for help before.
As Clarissa didn't say anything on the other end of the line, Lauren asked curiously, "Clarissa, did something happen to you? What's the matter?"
Clarissa forced a smile.
"I'm fine."
"If there's nothing wrong, why did you ask me if I'm alright?"
"I..." Clarissa pursed her lips, swallowed her saliva, before saying softly, "I just had a nightmare. Since you're alright, then it's okay. I have other things to do, so I'll hang up first."
Upon hearing her words, Lauren smiled happily. She comforted Clarissa before hanging up the phone.
There was a strange silence in the room.
Clarissa could even feel her heart beating rapidly, as she felt like she was falling deep into an abyss.
She gripped her phone tightly and saw a few missed calls on the screen. They were all from Anderson.
In fact, until now, she still did not know what had happened.
However, it was not hard to predict the outcome.
Someone set up a trap for her and lured her in. They wanted to use this chance to completely destroy her!
The phone call from Lauren was fake.
This was not a very clever method. Whether it was Lauren's phone number or the not so clear voice message, in fact, they could all be generated by some software easily.
Clarissa had been in the underground of foreign countries for so many years. By right, she should be familiar with this means, and it was impossible for her to be fooled.
But after all, Clarissa had been out of the circle for several years, and she did not expect that someone would pull this kind of dirty tricks on her.
In addition, she got very anxious at that time as she was worried about Lauren, so she fell into someone's trap.
Thinking of this, she suddenly raised her head and fiercely glared at Jara next to her.
Upon seeing this, Jara immediately guessed what she was thinking and quickly waved his hand dismissively.
"I didn't do it."
Clarissa sneered.
Of course, she believed him. After all, with Jara's intelligence, if he really wanted to hurt her, he would have more sophisticated methods. He wouldn't have to use this method to drag her down.
It was just that...
Clarissa pulled a long face as she said in a cold voice, "Don't tell me you're stupid enough to be schemed against!"
Jara raised his eyebrows as his eyes were gleaming with a hint of joy.
"You still have so much faith in me."
While speaking, he got out of bed leisurely. Compared with Clarissa's messy clothes, he was still so neatly-dressed that there was not even a wrinkle on them.
Jara walked to the opposite wardrobe and opened the cabinet door.
In the next second, a strong middle-aged man rolled out of the cabinet.
Clarissa suddenly turned pale with fright!
As for the person who had rolled out of the cupboard, he almost cried when he saw her.
His mouth was still stuffed with a cloth, and his hands and feet were all tied up. Because he couldn't speak, he could only make some muffled sounds.
Clarissa looked at him in disbelief. "Elliot? Why are you here?"
Elliot tried to say something, but he had no way to express it. No one could hear him clearly.
Clarissa frowned. Just as she was about to step forward and take out the cloth from his mouth, she suddenly heard the sound of running footsteps outside.
"Are you sure the person inside it's Clarissa?"
"I'm sure! I saw with my own eyes that she went in with a man arm-in-arm."
Clarissa's and Elliot's expression changed.
On the other hand, Jara, who was holding onto his arm, had a smile on his face. It was obvious that he wanted to sit on the fence and watch the show!
By this time, how could Clarissa not know that these people were deliberately sent by the mastermind to catch her?
Thinking about it, how big of a piece of news would it be for the Young Madam of the Jordan family to be secretly dating her ex-boyfriend in the hotel?
And those people could make good use of this opportunity to make things sound worse than they actually were. She didn't even dare to think about it!
There was already a knock on the door outside. Clarissa didn't have the time to think any further. She kicked Elliot, who had been released by Jara, back into the wardrobe again before dragging Jara to the front of the window. With a leap, she jumped on the window.
"Seven, this is the 15th floor. I like you, but I don't want to die with you."
Jara was still hesitating, but Clarissa pulled him up.
"Cut the crap! Follow me!"
After that, she grabbed him by his collar and dragged him to climb to the balcony next to her.
Upon seeing this, Jara slightly narrowed his eyes and then shook his head.
"Tsk, that's rough."
The door was knocked open by someone.
In addition to the reporters, the staff of the hotel also rushed in.
However, looking at the empty room in front of them, everyone was a little stunned for a moment.
Seeing this, the expression of the man who had received the information and brought everyone here changed slightly and said, "Impossible! I saw her coming in with my own eyes. Where is she?"
Just then, a sob was heard from the wardrobe.
Everyone was stunned, and some people immediately walked over and opened the cabinet door.
A man tied up like a ball rolled out of the wardrobe.
