Chapter 203 He Has a Child
Clarissa was stunned and got even more surprised.
Originally, she wanted to refuse him directly. But when she glanced at Lara's lounge not far away, she came up with an idea and agreed.
"Okay. Come in!"
Elliot followed her into the lounge.
Clarissa didn't mean to exchange the usual pleasantries with him. As soon as she entered the room, she leaned against the edge of the table, looked at him with her arms crossed and said straightforwardly, "Tell me. What do you want to talk to me?"
She was so frank that Elliot became somewhat nervous.
He had said those words that he wanted to tell her in his heart countless times, but he couldn't say anything when he looked at her unemotional eyes.
After a while, he reluctantly smiled, "Nothing. I haven't talked to you for a long time, and I want to chat with you casually."
Clarissa smiled, but there was no smile in her eyes.
"I'm sorry. I'm not Lara, and I'm not interested in a man who has a fiancee. Since you have nothing to say, there's no need for us to chat."
As she said this, she straightened up and walked out.
Elliot panicked, and quickly reached out to grab her wrist.
"Wait."
Clarissa frowned.
She subconsciously felt disgusted and annoyed. She shook off his hand with great strength, took two steps back, and looked at him coldly.
Elliot's hand froze in the mid-air.
He was dumbfounded and then looked at Clarissa, only to see that she took out a silk handkerchief from her bag with an unhappy face and wiped her wrist that had been held by him, and then threw it in the trash can next to her.
"Just say what you want to say and don't touch me!"
Elliot's throat tightened, and he suddenly felt particularly uncomfortable.
He felt a dull pain in his heart, as if his heart was being covered tightly by something. The pain was not very sharp, but it made him unabale to say a word.
He pursed his lips. After several seconds, he whispered, "Okay, I'll just say it."
Clarissa's face was bland and she didn't even look at him.
Although Elliot felt sad, he knew that he asked for it, and he had no right to object it.
So he said straightforwardly, "I went to Flaucford a few days ago."
Clarissa raised her eyebrows, "What does this have to do with me?"
Elliot said solemnly, "Don't hurry. Guess who I met?"
Clarissa was really not interested in guessing something about him, so she said directly, "I don't know."
Elliot was stunned.
Her obviously disgusted and impatient attitude made him feel more and more painful in heart.
He took a deep breath and said seriously, "I met Anderson."
Clarissa was startled.
"I saw with my own eyes that he was with a four or five-year-old girl. The child called him Daddy. I think you should understand what this means, right?"
Clarissa was completely dumbfounded.
Seeing that she finally had a reaction, Elliot was slightly relieved in heart and added, "I didn't want to tell you this, but I really don't want to see you being deceived. Anderson is not a good man. You won't be happy if you're with him."
"He even didn't tell you that he has a child, and there must be lots of things that he hides from you. Clarissa, you must think about it carefully and break up with him."
After several seconds, Clarissa finally reacted.
She looked at Elliot with a puzzled expression, "Who said he is lying to me?"
Elliot was very distressed, "Do you still refuse to believe me now? He has a child..."
"He has a child. I know."
Elliot was speechless.
Clarissa glanced at him with disgust and pursed her lips in dissatisfaction.
"I thought that you stopped me because you had something very important to tell me. That's all? Ha! Elliot, you're really boring, and I think it's a waste of my time."
Elliot was confused.
"Don't you mind this?"
"Why should I mind?"
Clarissa laughed as if she had heard a big joke.
"Elliot, you came here eagerly and hesitated for a long time just to tell me this? How do you want me to respond? Angry? Sad? Disappointed or mad?"
"Do you want to use this news to make me break up with Anderson? Do you want us to divorce and never contact each other for the rest of our lives?"
"Sorry, I will let you down. I don't mind it at all, and I like Anne very much. She is not only Anderson's daughter, but also my daughter. Do you understand?"
Elliot was completely shocked.
Before he came, he had thought about many reactions that Clarissa would have.
He just didn't expect the result to be like this.
He shook his head, "Don't you always value the loyalty the most? He cheated you. Don't you hate him?"
Clarissa lowered her eyes slightly, "No."
Why should she hate him?
When they got married at the beginning, it was not because of love.
At that time, it was naturally impossible to tell each other everything, and she also had something to hide from him.
Elliot couldn't understand her reaction at all.
"Alright. Even if you don't hate him for lying to you, that child is not your biological child! Have you ever thought about how difficult it will be for you to get along with each other in the future? Don't you understand how hard it is to be a step-mother?"
Clarissa sneered.
"Thank you for worrying about me, but don't worry. Anne likes me very much, and I also like her. I don't think it is difficult for us to get along at all!"
Elliot was speechless.
He was extremely mad.
"Clarissa, wake up! Even if she likes you now, she has her own biological mother!"
"Have you ever thought that no matter how you and Anderson love each other now, he once loved another woman, and he has a child with that woman."
"That woman is not here now, so you're family and you can live a good life together, but what if she comes back?"
"Anderson could even let her give birth to his child. Are you really sure that the woman is not important in his heart at all?"
"If he still loves her, and if that woman comes back someday, will the child still like you? Do you really think you can replace her biological mother? Do you really think that you can replace the position of that woman in Anderson's heart?"
Clarissa's fingertips paused.
She looked at him expressionlessly.
Elliot panted slightly and said with distress, "Clarissa, don't be stupid. He is not suitable for you at all! In the end, you will not get what you wanted, and your heart will be hurt by him! This is my most sincere advice to you!"
Clarissa was silent for a while.
After a moment, she said lightly, "Oh, I see."
Elliot was puzzled.
How could she treat him so indifferently?
Clarissa smiled reluctantly.
"Elliot, in fact, you are quite strange."
