Chapter 295 Confess Honestly
Anderson had expected that Chantel would give in.
After Anderson agreed, he made an appointment with Chantel to go to the villa of the Jordan family together at night.
Clarissa went back first to tell Matteo about it and let her be mentally prepared.
That night, Anderson and Chantel went back to the villa after Clarissa went there.
Matteo was naturally furious when she heard about this.
Before Chantel came, she lost her temper at home and even broke several teacups.
Clarissa persuaded her, "Fortunately, aunt told us about this matter, and it is not too late for her to admit her mistakes. Grandma, don't be angry. In the final analysis, she did that because she quarrelled with you. We can't be mad and make things worse, and we should calm down and deal with it."
Matteo sighed.
"I know. Don't worry. I am just angry now. How can I really do something to her? I won't scold her when she comes here."
Although she said so, when Chantel really arrived, she couldn't suppress her fury and scolded her severely.
Chantel knew that she was wrong, so she could only listen to it and didn't speak.
After losing her temper, Matteo felt a little better, and then began to get hold of the story.
In fact, this matter was very simple.
Normal people could all basically tell that Chantel had been deceived.
The troublesome thing was that she herself didn't know it and didn't leave any evidence, and she bought the rough stones voluntarily every time.
It was difficult to prove that Jacab was setting up a trap to fool her unless they used special methods.
Although the Jordan Family was capable and powerful, they were in a sensitive position, and they didn't dare to act recklessly because many people were paying attention to them.
Since Jacab could make lots of money by running the stone gambling casino in Flaucford, he must have a backer. The information that David found showed that he kept in touch with the Holland family, and his backer was likely to be the Holland family.
The Holland family was involved, so no one dared to act rashly.
Anderson thought for a while, "I can send someone to find a solution to this matter. But during this time, aunt, you'd better leave Flaucford so as to avoid unnecessary troubles."
Chantel suddenly became unwilling.
"Anderson, are you trying to exile me? I'm not going anywhere. I just want to stay in Flaucford!"
Matteo said angrily, "Don't make a fuss! Now we're cleaning up the awful mess for you! Do you think that anyone is willing to handle this for you?"
Being roared at by Matteo, Chantel immediately had no more confidence to be unreasonable.
After a moment, she said with grievance, "Alright, but I'm going to F country."
"No!"
Matteo stopped her with annoyance and gave her a cold look.
"Don't even think about it! Book a ticket tomorrow and go to find your Aunt Huer in M country. I will send someone to keep an eye on you. Don't think about running around! You are not allowed to go anywhere until the matter has been solved."
Chantel suddenly screamed in dissatisfaction.
"Mom, I'm in my thirties! I am not a child! Are you going to monitor me?"
Matteo snorted coldly.
"I think your mind is as simple as a child."
Chantel was speechless.
Since Matteo had made a decision, no one could change it.
Finally, this family meeting came to an end after Matteo made a decision.
Anderson and Clarissa were naturally going back to Starbay Villa.
Matteo was worried that Chantel would cause trouble again, so she didn't allow her to leave and let her stay in the villa. She would leave by plane early the next day.
When Clarissa and Anderson walked out, Chantel suddenly stopped Clarissa.
She looked at Anderson and smiled, "Anderson, I have a few words to tell Clarissa. Can we stay alone for a while?"
Anderson frowned and glanced at Clarissa.
Clarissa nodded at him.
"Wait for me in the car! I'll be there soon."
Anderson nodded and then left.
After he left, Chantel's smiling face immediately turned indifferent.
"Clarissa, you're particularly happy now, right? Are you very smug? After I leave Flaucford, no one will keep an eye on you anymore and no one will find fault with you. Then you can bewitch Anderson and let him listen to you. Am I right?"
Clarissa frowned slightly, but she returned to normal after a moment.
She looked at Chantel coldly, and a mocking expression flashed across her eyes.
"You stopped me just to say this to me?"
Chantel straightened her chest.
"What's wrong? Can't I say this? Don't think that I don't know what you're thinking. On the surface, you seem to want to help me, but in fact, you just want to laugh at me!"
"Very good. Now you've got what you want. I have lost all my face in the Jordan Family. Dad and mom are disappointed in me and they will not listen to me again. You're very satisfied now! Right?"
Clarissa shook her head.
"I've never thought like this."
"Ha, don't try to lie to me. I know that you always hate me because I don't want you to be with Anderson. I want him to be with Gabriela, which annoys you a lot, right?"
"But do you know that Gabriela and Anderson used to be lovers and they grew up together? They were childhood sweethearts! But look at what you have done! What's the point of ruining their relationship?"
Clarissa took a deep breath.
She was a little impatient.
When Chantel mentioned this for the first time, she was very patient.
But after hearing it many times, she only felt annoyed and didn't even have the patience to listen.
She looked at Chantel and said in a deep voice, "Now that you've said so, I want to ask you. Since their relationship is so good, why did Anderson marry me but not her?"
Chantel was dumb for a while.
Clarissa sneered sarcastically.
"Aunt, I don't really understand why you don't like me so much?I have never shown any malice to you since we first met. I once treated you impolitely just because you provoked me first."
"I know that you are very good to Anderson. You took care of him a lot after his parents died. I never deny your affection, but you should understand that the person who will spend the rest of his life with him is not you, but me."
"No matter how deep your family affection is, it will be slowly worn away under the friction of long-term disappointment and conflict. I don't want you to regret it when he no longer appreciates your love and care."
"So, if you want to live well in the rest of your life, you'd better stop provoking me and behave yourself! After all, the Jordan Family will belong to Anderson, and as his wife, I am the real hostess of the Jordan Family."
After she finished speaking, Chantel's colour came and went. She was so angry and it seemed that she was about to faint in the next second. Then Clarissa raised her hand and called a servant.
"Aunt is not feeling well. Please take her back to rest."
