Chapter 110 Spend The Spring Festival Together
Ten minutes later, she came out.
Anderson had hung up the phone, and he was sitting at the table and waiting for her.
Clarissa took a deep breath, composed her emotions, and walked to him.
"You've been there for so long. Are you okay?"
Clarissa shook her head, "I'm fine."
The fireworks had not yet started, and a cellist was playing a melodious and delightful melody in the restaurant.
There were beautiful candlelight all around, looking so romantic in such a night.
Anderson looked at her and smiled, "Mrs. Jordan, would you like to dance with me?"
Clarissa was stunned.
Anderson had stood up, walked to her, and then bent over.
She looked at his palm in front of her, feeling a little helpless.
"Anderson, I didn't wear a dress."
"I didn't wear a suit, either."
Regardless of her words, he held her hand and pulled her up from the seat.
The tune was slow. They danced together in the open space in front of the restaurant in down-filled coats. There were no guests on this floor, maybe it was because Anderson had booked the whole floor. The cold wind was separated by the glass window, and Clarissa had a specially warm and steady feeling.
Clarissa's hand was held by Anderson, and she followed him to dance slowly. His palm was warm, and she could clearly feel his strength.
Originally, her heart was a little restless and uneasy because of the note, but she gradually relaxed in such an environment.
"What are you thinking?"
Anderson asked suddenly.
Clarissa came to sense and shook her head.
"Nothing."
Anderson lowered his head and stared at her.
Being stared at by him like this, Clarissa felt somewhat uneasy. She turned her head slightly and asked in a low voice, "What's wrong?"
"I don't like the way you're distracted."
Clarissa was stunned.
Then, she heard him say, "It makes me very unattractive."
Clarissa was speechless.
Finally, she couldn't help but bust into laughter. She pursed her lips and said with a smile, "No, you are very charming."
Anderson's eyes lit up.
"I'm just a little unaccustomed. I haven't spent the New Year's so seriously like this for several years. I used to be alone in my room watching TV or sleeping directly. I am a little unaccustomed to spend the festival with you like this."
Anderson's eyes gleamed.
In his intense eyes, there was a complicated emotion that she couldn't describe or understood.
"Don't worry. I will accompany you on this day every year from now on, and I won't let you stay at home and watch TV alone."
Clarissa was stunned slightly. She looked up at him, only to see that he looked serious and didn't seem to be joking.
Her heart softened a little and she smiled, "Thank you."
"Boom!"
With a loud noise, the fireworks were ignited, and the tune stopped abruptly. The cellist put down the cello, walked to them and said with a smile, "Sir, Madam, the fireworks has begun."
Anderson nodded, waved his hand and let him leave. Then he took Clarissa's hand and walked to the window.
Not far away, a stunning display of fireworks lit up the sky.
Blue, yellow, white, purple, green... Hundreds of fireworks burst simultaneously in midair, and the sky was full of brightly colored fireworks.
Even Clarissa, who had always been unemotional and disliked the bustle, was shocked by such a gorgeous scene. She opened her eyes wide and leaned over the glass, whispering, "Wow."
Anderson hugged her waist from behind, putting his head on her shoulder.
"Is it beautiful?"
"Yeah, it's so amazing."
"If you like it, I will show it to you every year."
Clarissa was dumbfounded.
She turned around and looked at him in disbelief.
"You specially set off the fireworks for me?"
Anderson smiled and nodded.
Clarissa suddenly didn't know what to say.
What she didn't know was that although fireworks could be set off in the square in the suburbs, people would only set off some ordinary fireworks to liven things up. How could the fireworks be so grand and beautiful as this night?
Her heart was touched without a sound.
Clarissa lowered her head slightly. After a moment, she raised her head again, and her eyes were brimming with tears.
"Thank you."
Seeing her like this, Anderson's heart softened.
"You don't have to be so polite with me."
He reached out to wipe the tears on the corners of her eyes, and said in a deep voice, "I hope we can be so warm and happy every year."
Clarissa looked at him. After a while, she nodded heavily.
"Okay."
The fireworks lasted for half an hour.
When it was over, it was exactly midnight.
When the New Year's bell rang, Anderson hugged her from behind and whispered in her ear, "Honey, happy new year!"
Clarissa's heart softened. She smiled and whispered, "Happy new year."
At this moment, in a dark place they didn't know, a tall man was standing there, sneering and looking at them with apathetic eyes.
A waiter came over and reminded him, "Sir, this place has been booked, and you can't go in."
He turned around and glanced at the waiter indifferently.
When the waiter saw his face clearly, he opened his mouth in surprise.
Later, the man turned around and walked out. Soon, his figure disappeared in the darkness where there was no light.
Clarissa almost forgot how she went back later.
She was too sleepy. After watching the fireworks, she fell asleep as soon as she got on the car.
When she woke up, it was already the next morning. She was lying on the soft big bed. Next to her, Anderson was sleeping soundly. His handsome looked so tender and soft in the morning light.
She rubbed her eyes, sat up and was about to get up. But just as soon as she moved, Anderson pulled her back.
"Sleep for a more while."
His voice sounded a little hoarse and sexy in the morning.
Clarissa smiled, "It's late. I'll go see Lauren."
"She has left."
Clarissa was stunned.
Anderson finally opened his eyes, and his brooding eyes still looked somewhat lazy. He held his head with one arm and said faintly, "She left last night. You slept so soundly, so I didn't tell you."
"Where did she go?"
Anderson did not speak.
But his confused eyes meant that he didn't know about it.
Lauren was not his wife, so how could he care about where she had gone?
Only then did Clarissa realize that she couldn't ask him this question. She quickly got up and picked up the phone to call Lauren.
The phone rang for a while before it was connected.
Lauren's clear voice sounded on the phone.
"Clarissa, are you awake?"
"Where did you go?"
"I'm home."
"Home?"
"Of course. How could there be forever hatred between a father and a daughter? Today is the first day of the lunar year. Of course I have to come back to accompany my dad."
Clarissa was speechless.
"Okay! As long as you are fine."
"Don't worry about me! I'm fine. Happy new year! I'll hang up."
Clarissa smiled, "Okay. Happy new year."
After hanging up the phone, she breathed a sigh of relief and went to the bathroom to wash up.
At the same time, Lauren put down the phone and looked at the man sitting on the sofa in front of her, and her face darkened instantly.
"Dad, I won't marry him. Don't think about it!"
