Chapter 651 Didn't Want to Argue

Hence, Buckley remained silent. He did not say a word when his wife was agry.
Instead of persuading her to eat, he quietly withdrew his gaze and lowered his head to eat his own meal.
When Charlotte saw this scene, she became even angrier!
Suddenly, she rushed over and swept the food in front of Buckley to the ground.
The plates and bowls were smashed on the floor into pieces, along with the food.
When the food splattered onto the floor, it splashed onto Buckly as well.
Stunned at first, immediately he pulled a long face.
Looking at Charlotte, whose face was flushing red in front of him, he stared at her calmly, and asked in a deep voice, "What's your problem?"
Then, Charlotte said angrily, "Eat! Eat! The only thing you do is to eat! Except for this, can you think of something else?"
When he heard that, Buckley's brows furrowed deeply.
The more he thought about it, the more he felt that his wife was completely being unreasonable today.
Tiredly rubbing the space between his eyebrows, while suppressing the anger, he said in a low voice, "Charlotte, I don't want to argue with you."
Hearing that, Charlotte was stunned.
Suddenly, an inexplicable feeling of grievances and pain hit her heart, making her tear up in an instant.
With a sneer, she said, "Yes, when did you have a fight with me? In your heart, who am I? I guess I am not worth your attention! Fine, I don't expect anything from you anyway. Don't you want to eat? Let them make it for you again. You can eat! I won't disturb you anymore. That's it. Bye."
After that, she turned around and left.
The moment she turned around, tears rolled down her face in an instant.
Looking at his wife as she left disappointed, he frowned, and still, he had no idea what she was angry about.
With knitted eyebrows, he kept silent for a while. Then, he ordered the servants to come in and clean the dining room, as he went outside.
it was only when he was out of the room that he took out his phone and called his assistant.
"Joe, help me check my wife's whereabouts and who she met today. Tell me everything."
After receving the orders, Buckley's assistant reacted quickly.
Furthermore, Charlotte's schedule today was very simple.
In fact, he didn't even need to investigate. He found out everything by asking around.
After listening to the report from his subordinates on the phone, Buckly frowned deeply.
Evelyn...
It was actually her?
So, Charlotte had bumped into Marty's wife face to face?
As if a thought came to his mind, Buckley let out a helpless sigh.
Even a successful businessman would have to face family issues. As the Chairman of Blaine Group, he felt a headache when dealing with family issues like this too.
But now that he knew the crux of the problem, he couldn't just sit by and do nothing about it.
With that in mind, he called Marty.
"Marty, take your wife back home for dinner this weekend! After all, you're married. You should bring her to see us. Okay, that's settled then."
......
Thus, this weekend, Marty took Evelyn to the Blaine family's old residence.
Logically speaking, according to his agreement with Charlotte, he shouldn't go back.
But Buckley had called personally and promised on the phone that this would not affect his and Charlotte's promise.
After all, that was his parents, and since he was actually married, it would be inappropriate not to go back once.
Thus, Marty agreed.
Of course, before agreeing, he had asked for Evelyn's opinion.
In Evelyn's point of view, it was not a big deal. They would go, but even if they didn't, it wouldn't matter.
Now, she finally understood that instead of thinking about how to please others, she would let them accept her.
It was better to hold herself accountable.
After all, she was not money itself, so she couldn't make everyone like her.
It was their business that she was with Marty.
If the outsiders accepted them and were willing to give them their blessings, they would be happy to accept it.
However, if Charlotte still couldn't accept her no matter how she explained, then there was no need for her to face her cold shoulders and beg for her approval.
As they said, one shouldn't have low self-esteem, but shouldn't be arrogant too.
So, in the afternoon that day, the two of them went to the old residence with some gifts.
All the gifts were bought by Evelyn. Although she would not deliberately please Charlotte, as her first visit, basic courtesy was still necessary.
On the other end, Buckley had already given Charlotte a heads up.
In fact, Buckley had high emotional intelligence.
Otherwise, it would have been impossible for his business to be so successful.
He told his wife that he hadn't seen his youngest son for a long time, and he wanted to ask him to come back for dinner. Since Evelyn was already married to him, and this marriage was approved by Charlotte, it was only reasonable to bring Evelyn together.
And he could tell that Charlotte missed her son even if she didn't say anything.
This way, the family reunion would be able to ease her yearn for him.
As for Evelyn, if she really didn't like her, she could turn a blind eye to her.
But she mustn't lose her temper at the dining table because of her.
First of all, it would cause trouble for her son. Secondly, it would affect the peaceful atmosphere of the rare reunion of the family, and it was not worth it.
When Charlotte heard this, she felt that it made sense, so she agreed.
Seeing Evelyn entering the door, she didn't say anything. Although her expression was impassive, she didn't put on a bad face to embarrass her.
With that, Evelyn and Marty heaved a sigh of relief.
As for Charlotte's little niece Winry, she happened to be there today. When she saw Evelyn, her eyes lit up showing a hint of joy.
However, in front of Charlotte, she did not go forward to say hello to Evelyn.
Only when Charlotte was not paying attention, she smiled at Evelyn secretly.
Evelyn remembered Winry. The last time she saw her in the cafe, she felt that the little girl was very cute.
But at that time, she didn't know her identity. Later on, she heard from Marty that she was Charlotte's niece.
Smiling at Buckley, she said, "Mr. Blaine, this is a little respect from me. Please accept it."
With a smile, Buckley asked the servant to put away the gifts, and said with a smile, "You're already married. Why are you still calling me Mr. Blaine? It's time to change the way you address me."
As soon as he finished his words, she was glared at by Charlotte who was next to him.
The glare was so obvious that everyone had seen it.
And it made Buckley a little awkward.
On the contrary, Evelyn smiled naturally and gracefully, as she replied, "It's alright. In fact, a name is just a name. I have received the token of your regard."
Hearing that, Buckley had no choice but to laugh it out and said, "You're right, you're right."
The servants at home had heard that Marty would bring his girlfriend back home today.
But they didn't expect that it would be Evelyn.
After all, although Mr. Blaine didn't watch TV shows, the servants at home actually enjoyed watching.
Seeing the famous celebrity on TV became the wife of Marty all of a sudden, everyone was very happy.
