Chapter 882 She Went Missing
As Yunne drank, she disclosed what had been on her mind for years.
"Emmeline, do you know that I'm not a real orphan. I have a father, but I've never seen him since I was a child."
She didn't seem to be a good drinker; her vision became blurry after several glasses of wine.
As she poured herself another cup of wine, she mumbled, "He abandoned my mother before I was born. He was aware of my existence after I was born, but he did not come to find me."
"I used to believe he had some inexplicable reason, so even though he has never ridden on a day's worth of responsibility since I was little, I don't hate him."
"But, till now, I've realized that everything is merely an excuse. He refuses to acknowledge me at all."
"I don't need him to do anything for me anymore since I've grown up. All I want is to have a normal family, but he refuses."
"Do you think I'm very pitiful, Emmeline? Am I too stupid?"
Emmeline had no idea Yunne's background was so complicated.
A sense of sympathy rose in her heart. She then patted Yunne on the back and added, "It's not because you're stupid. It's just that it's unworthy for you to do so for your so-called father."
She had learned a long time ago that some people were born unfit to be parents in this world.
As a result, she was unsurprised that such a person existed in the world.
Although she didn't know Yunne's father, she could imagine how cruel and selfish he was from what Yunne described.
Yunne's eyes were red, muttering, "I also know that it isn't worth it, but I really want to be accepted by him one day. No one knows how much I wish to have a family."
"But it now appears that it will never happen. Not only will there be no home, but I will soon lose everything."
As she spoke, her voice gradually became lower and lower.
In the end, she lay flat on the table.
"Yunne?" Emmeline pushed her shoulder.
There was no response from Yunne.
Seeing this, Emmeline sighed helplessly.
It seemed that Yunne was drunk.
Emmeline didn't know who Yunne's biological father was. How could he be so cruel to his own daughter that he refused to acknowledge her?
It was best not to fall into her hands, no matter who he was. Otherwise, given what he had done, she would never let him go.
Thinking of this, Emmeline called for the bill. But at this moment, she suddenly felt a little dizzy.
Emmeline shook her head and thought, "I didn't drink much today."
"Did my alcohol tolerance deteriorate due to my injury?"

After paying the bill, she woke Yunne up and informed her that they were returning.

Emmeline didn't want Rudy to see Yunne in this state, so she didn't call for assistance. Instead, she took Yunne up by herself and led her outdoors.
"Emmeline."
As they were walking out, Yunne called out softly.
"Hmm," Emmeline answered, "what's the matter?"
"I want to go to the restroom."
Emmeline turned her head and looked around. Noticing a restroom in the corridor outside, she quickly said, "Okay, I'll take you there."
As a result, she helped Yunne to the restroom.
Rudy and his bodyguards were in the room next door. If there was any situation, Emmeline could just inform them.
On the other hand, Emmeline had not yet called them. Instead, she intended to summon them once she returned from the restroom and leave together.
Therefore, at this time, they still didn't know that Emmeline and Yunne had already left the room.
The restroom was located at the far end of the corridor. "Go ahead. I'll wait for you here." Emmeline said to Yunne after they entered.
Yunne looked at her and smiled in a silly way. "Emmeline, you are so kind."
Emmeline let out a sigh.
"Stop flattering me and take care of yourself. I'm making an exception this time. You can't drink so much next time."
"Okay." Yunne smiled.
As she spoke, she let go of Emmeline and turned to walk inside.
Emmeline stood at the door, waiting. After a while, she noticed that the dizziness in her head was worsening.
She couldn't help but put her hand on her forehead and wondered in her heart, "Why can't I drink today?"
When she was in a daze, she heard a noise behind her.
She only thought that Yunne had come out and turned around.
However, she felt a chill on her back at this moment. Her body responded faster than her head due to a type of intuition she had been practicing for years.
She swiftly whirled around and elbowed backward.
Her hands, however, were weak and lacked strength.
She was startled and felt a searing pain in the back of her neck.
She only remembered seeing a man with a silver mask on his face near the end of her consciousness.

Emmeline went missing.
Jara received this news fifteen minutes later.
Rudy and the other bodyguards had just finished their meal when they noticed that the room next door was silent. Thus, Rudy went to take a look.
Unexpectedly, he found that there was no one in the room.
He quickly summoned the waitress. Then he learned that the bills for the two rooms were already paid. As for the two female guests, they didn't say anything about their plans.
He was taken aback and immediately went to investigate.
However, after searching the entire restaurant, they were still unable to locate Emmeline and Yunne.
They found the surveillance footage, but the last scene showed them walking into the restroom.
It was impossible to place a surveillance camera in the restroom to safeguard the privacy of the guests.
Thus, they had not exited the restroom since entering it.
Jara was enraged when he learned of the incident and ordered his men to scour the entire city.
And, as the primary suspect, that restaurant was immediately closed down.
He personally investigated the restroom and discovered that, although there was only one entrance, there was a hidden movable stone gate within a wall.
Everyone assumed it was just a design because of the exquisite design. They had no idea there was a mechanism to open it.
Emmeline and Yunne were most likely kidnapped at this point.
And those who kidnapped them exited through this stone gate.
Knowing this, Jara immediately dispatched a team to investigate through this door.
A street could be seen when the door was opened.
The streets were crowded with people and vehicles. Thus, it was not easy to investigate.
