Chapter 455 A Revisit To A Place Of Memory

Anderson was stunned.
He looked at her indifferently and asked seriously, "Are you very familiar with each other?"
Clarissa paused for a second.
Recalling how Anderson had been jealous over Jara's matter, she immediately laughed dryly.
"No, not at all."
Anderson said indifferently, "Didn't he save you?"
"Well... although that's the case, he actually wants to use me to do things for him. Hehe, who knows that I'm so talented in racing?"
Clarissa smiled awkwardly. She was shrewd enough to put an end to the conversation.
She looked at a modified car parked not far away and said, "There's a car over there. I'll go and see if it still works or not. If it is still working, I can still race in it."
As Clarissa spoke, she walked towards the car on the other side.
There were a lot of things left here along with some abandoned vehicles, because they left in a hurry.
As this place was remote and everyone knew that it was the Lost Vanguard's territory, the cars were left there and nobody dared to steal them.
Clarissa pried open the car door easily. She first checked the inside of the car and was surprised to find that the car had not been damaged to the point where it was beyond repair.
She repaired several parts herself and then got into the car to start the engine.
As soon as the engine of the car started buzzing, Clarissa smiled joyfully and waved to Anderson, who was sitting in a wheelchair not far away.
"Let's go to the other side of the hill. I'll show you around."
Anderson did not oppose it either. Although he had never seen Clarissa racing, he knew that she was an expert, and she had always been a sensible person.
Clarissa must have been really depressed for being cooped up at home during this period of time. It would be great if she could take this opportunity to relax.
Thus, the group of people went to the racing track at the other side of the mountain.
Clarissa first let the car warm up for a while, before putting on her helmet and winking at the three people standing by and watching. Then she stepped on the accelerator.
The car buzzed and drove away like a bat out of hell.
Having been training in the Speed Racing Division for several years, Clarissa's driving skills were naturally not bad.
Since she won Freddie in the racing competition last time, she often went to his car team to guide in order to fulfil the pledge.
This was a secret between her and Freddie. Even after Freddie found out that she was Anderson's wife, he had always kept his promise and did not tell it to anyone.
Because of this, he looked up to her from the bottom of his heart.
They saw that on the broad racetrack, the blue car was moving swiftly and smoothly like the wind in the air, which was exciting and pleasing to the eye.
The racetrack was one of the longest, spreading from one end of the mountain to the other end.
Lost Vanguard almost acquired the entire mountain in order to facilitate training at that time.
Clarissa raced on the outer track for a lap before feeling a little satisfied.
In the end, the car drifted and stopped steadily in front of Anderson.
Clarissa got out of the car and took off her helmet. Her slightly curled chestnut-colored hair raised a beautiful arc in the air, with a smile on her red lips as her eyes lit up.
"What do you think? Do you think my racing skills are good enough?"
Before Anderson could speak, Nora and David clapped their hands excitedly.
"Great, Madam, I thought you're a goddess for a second. I have never seen anyone race a car so beautifully. You're so amazing!"
Nora also echoed, "Yes, I used to think that you're good at doing business. I didn't expect that you're good at racing too. I was in awe watching you race."
Clarissa raised her eyebrows and looked at them with a faint smile. "Keep bragging. No one could tell."
Seeing that Clarissa had seen through their flattery, Nora and David immediately touched their noses in embarrassment.
Just then, Anderson clapped his hands.
He smiled and said, "You're really good. You'll probably win in international auto racing.
Clarissa raised her eyebrows proudly. "Of course, don't you know who I am?"
Her arrogant and unfazed demeanor immediately caused Anderson to let out a chuckle.
David and Nora were used to her composed and calm self. It was the first time they saw her like this. They couldn't help laughing.
Once Clarissa got the treat she needed for the day, so she showed them around again.
She pointed to the direction of the canteen and said, "This is the place where we used to eat. At that time, our training was extremely intensive, so it was really exhausting for us. Every time when the meal was ready to eat, everyone would run to the canteen for their lives.
I came in late, so although I was older than them, I was at the bottom of the hierarchy. So at the beginning, I was too shy to compete with them. Later, I gradually realized that something was wrong.
If I don't compete with them, then I wouldn't have anything to eat for lunch and the energy to train in the afternoon. If I didn't do my best at training, I would be punished. Then I'll be trapped in a vicious cycle. Even if I could survive, I'll be half dead by then.
So in the end, I stopped being nice. I still remembered that every time I had dinner, I was always the first one who got there."
As she spoke, Clarissa went to the canteen and picked up a bowl. "Look at this. This is the bowl. At that time, I was able to eat two bowls of rice at one go."
Nora and David couldn't help laughing when they heard this. They really couldn't imagine how a gentle and elegant person like Clarissa would fight for food with a group of youngsters in those days.
They talked and laughed together, but they didn't notice Anderson who hadn't spoken a word next to them. There was a glint of darkness in his eyes.
After Clarissa showed them around, she realized that it was already late. It was time for dinner.
Thus, a group of people were ready to go back to the hospital.
However, at this moment, they saw a young woman of about 30 years old holding hands with a little girl of six or seven years old coming out of an empty house.
The four of them were stunned for a moment. After all, this place had been abandoned for a long time. Why would a woman and a child appear here?
Clarissa was stunned for a while. Her pupils constricted as soon as her gaze fell on a suitcase in her hand.
She recognized the suitcase. It had been used by Mark before.
The graffiti and the patterns on the suitcase were all painted by Mark himself. One of his hobbies was to graffiti. Whether on the walls of his home or his personal belongings, they were all painted with colorful arts.
Because of this, there was only one suitcase like this in this world, and there couldn't be a replica of it.
Clarissa froze on the spot with her fingers clenched slightly.
It was not until the mother and daughter pair came to the front of them and were about to pass by them that she hurried to say something.
"Wait a minute."
They stopped in their tracks and turned around to look at Clarissa in confusion.
