Chapter 838 It's Her
Those information turned out to be Lilly's.
Instantaneously, Emmeline opened her eyes wide in shock.
"Lilly? How could it be her?"
Jara sneered, "Yeah, I was surprised as well. If the poisoning took place at Tower B's kitchen, she, as a cook, would be highly suspected. So, at first, I assumed that she wouldn't do anything stupid that put herself into trouble."
"But perhaps, she knew this, so she wanted to take this to her advantage, fool everyone, and free herself from suspicion. Unfortunately, her means were a little clumsy. I sent someone to search her room, and we found some leftover arsenic."
Upon hearing that, Emmeline was dumbstruck.
Then, she looked up at him.
"Did she admit it?"
Jara nodded, "Yes, she did."

Back then, when she saw Kayla threatening and framing Lilly, she stood up for Lilly.
However, it didn't occur to her that Lilly would attempt to poison her right after that.
How could Lilly repay kindness with ingratitude?

"Where is she?" she asked.
"She's dead."
That was an unexpected answer.
Emmeline was bewildered, while Jara furrowed his brows and sighed, "She killed herself. After the incident, she probably knew that she was done for, or maybe she was afraid that we would get some information out of her, so she committed suicide by consuming poison. Although the doctor gave her emergency treatment, she didn't make it as the toxicity was too strong."
After listening to his explanation, Emmeline fell silent.
Looking at her cold gaze, Jara knew that she must be utterly upset right now.
After a long while, she spoke, "Are you sure she's alone? Does she have any other companions?"
To that, Jara shook his head.
"For now, I only found her, and I'm not sure if she had any other accomplices here. We have thoroughly searched her residence and the places where she works, but we didn't find anything unusual."
When Emmeline heard that, her eyebrows knitted tightly.
Even though this was his territory, he couldn't be sure.
This meant that the other party managed to hide well.
For a moment, Emmeline was bewildered. She somehow felt that this matter was like a haze that was shrouding her away from the truth.

At first, when Emmeline saw Jara instructing Uncle Poick, she felt that this might be too rushed.

Emmeline thanked Uncle Poick and followed him to her room.

Shocked, she turned to look at the door and asked, "Who's there?"
"It's me."
Yunne's voice sounded.
Hearing that, Emmeline was a little surprised, but in the next second, her heart was full of joy.
"Come in."
In this castle, Yunne was one of the few people that she liked and trusted. Jara might know this, so even though she had moved to the main building, he did not switch her personal servant. Instead, he called Yunne over.
