Chapter 945 Act Rashly
"Good! Excellent skills!"
Clarissa and the others clapped their hands as well. Jara, for the sake of his own reputation, applauded as well.
"I knew you were good at martial arts," Anderson stated as he walked over. "But I didn't expect it to be this great!"
Mr. Gill was dressed in a practice outfit. "Do you want to practice?" he looked at Anderson and asked.
Everyone was taken aback, but Anderson appeared unfazed. "Sure," he answered with a smile.
With a sneer, Mr. Gill added, "Anderson, don't blame me if I hurt you."
Anderson then responded with a smirk, "Your skills are excellent, but you're getting old. I won't hurt you, but don't blame me if you sprain your waist!"
Hearing this, Mr. Gill immediately pulled a long face.
He flung his fist over, raising his elbows.
They began grappling with each other right away.
Clarissa stood aside with Jara and Emmeline, and they were all frightened. How could they have fought in a blink of an eye?
Although it was merely a practice, they were serious about it. After all, Anderson had been working in the company. Not just Jara and Emmeline, but even Clarissa had never seen such incredible moves. What if Anderson suffered an injury?
Her heart felt like it was about to jump out of her chest. Her hands were clasped firmly and sweating from nervousness.
On the other hand, Anderson was very calm and composed.
It was true that Mr. Gill's skills were incredible. However, Anderson was not bad either.
Many years ago, when he was bored, he happened to see a master doing martial arts and decided to learn from him on the spur of the moment.
He had not anticipated being obsessed with it. Thus, he had spent several years learning it.
Although he hadn't practiced in a long time, he had a strong foundation in martial arts and an exceptional memory. Therefore, he was able to catch up with Mr. Gill in such a short amount of time.
They made a couple of moves back and forth. There were about 30 moves in total between them.
After all, Mr. Gill was getting older, and his strength was ebbing.
He probably didn't anticipate Anderson's ability. His old face tensed up as if he had to decide between victory and loss.
Clarissa was worried that they would get hurt. After all, they'd requested Mr. Gill to tell them where Jade of Heaven was. As a result, it would be disastrous if any of them was injured.
So, at this moment, she yelled, "End it soon."
As soon as she finished her words, Anderson took hold of Mr. Gill with a beautiful move, and his fist was right in front of Mr. Gill's face.
Mr. Gill had lost.
His expression was unpleasant. Anderson smiled and moved back a step. Then he bowed and said, "Mr. Gill, thanks for letting me win."
Mr. Gill glared at him, then snorted loudly and walked into the house.
The group of people quickly followed in.
Anderson was already dripping wet after the session. Clarissa handed him a towel with which he could wipe away his sweat. Later, the four of them just sat in the living room chairs and waited.
About ten minutes later, Mr. Gill came out.
He had changed into a white suit, giving him the appearance of a sage.
It was just that he did not have a good temper.
As soon as he came out, he sat down on the chair and glared at Anderson.
"Where did you get your martial arts skills?"
Anderson took a sip of tea and grinned faintly. "First, please tell me where Jade of Heaven is."
Mr. Gill was speechless.
After a while, he said with a sneer, "Boy, you are so ignorant. Just answer me. Why do you talk so much nonsense?"
Anderson shook his head. "You can't say that. Everything depends on both sides in this world. If you treat us as friends, you should help us while I tell you everything I know. Well, if we're not friends, it's fine if you do nothing. It is absolutely up to me whether or not to respond to you."
It seemed that there was nothing wrong with his words.
Even Mr. Gill didn't know what to say. He couldn't refute Anderson at all.
Thus, he snorted and said, "Okay, I know you come here for the fake jade. I'm not afraid to tell you the truth. In fact, the jade is not with me."
Emmeline and Jara's expressions changed as soon as he stated that.
"What did you say? You don't have Jade of Heaven?"
When he saw how surprised they were, Mr. Gill grinned contentedly. He appeared to be an old child who had pulled off his prank successfully.
"What do you think? You didn't see that coming, did you? You planned every move, yet you ended up filling the water with a bamboo basket. You deserve it!"
"How dare you!"
Jara was furious and rushed over to lift him.
Mr. Gill's eyes turned cold. "What? Do you want to hit me? Try it if you dare!"
When Anderson noticed this, he quickly raised his hand and stopped Jara, a dissatisfied grimace on his face.
"Jara, you're not an impulsive person. Don't act rashly."
That's right, Jara was never impulsive.
As the head of Lost Vanguard and the Holland family, he had complete control over everything. But this time, he was extremely pressed.
After all, Emmeline was a soft spot for him.
Now, his love was nearing the end of her life. He had tried very hard to calm himself down, but it was just like a spark pressed down. No matter what, there would be a spark, and the fire would quickly burn the entire prairie.
However, Jara was still very rational. He slumped back into his seat.
Anderson comforted Mr. Gill for a while and asked seriously, "Mr. Gill, this can't be a joke. Are you sure that it's not in your hands?"
Mr. Gill looked at him, a tinge of schadenfreude in his eyes.
"Why should I lie to you? If you don't believe it, search for yourself. You can take it away if you find it."
Hearing this, Anderson drew his brows tightly together.
It was apparent that the jade was not in his place since he dared to say so.
"Why didn't you tell us earlier?"
Because of this, they were delayed here for two days.
Mr. Gill chuckled. "Are you stupid? Why should I tell you? It's not me who's going to die. Besides, just because you didn't figure it out doesn't mean that no one else did. Didn't this little girl realize it last night? There's nothing I can do if she refuses to tell you guys."
