Chapter 877 No Mercy When Spending

Therefore, Emmeline followed up with a joke, "Hey, if you get me a brother-in-law, I'll buy you a couple more."
As soon as she finished her sentence, Yunne's face flushed again.
She carefully looked at Rudy, who was following them in the distance and glared at her. "Emmeline!"
Emmeline burst out laughing.
In fact, she came out this time not only to buy something for Yunne, but also to get some personal items.
The castle was great, and Uncle Poick was incredibly attentive. But, no matter what, he was still a guy.
Emmeline was a woman, and she needed certain necessities. Although she had already prepared the things in her room, she was too embarrassed to ask Uncle Poick to restock them once they had been finished.
So, when she went out today, she figured she might as well buy some on her own.
Emmeline had a card that belonged to Jara. She and Jara grew up together and were now on the same boat. In addition, she had never felt anything wrong with spending his money.
Therefore, she had no mercy when spending.
Of course, Jara didn't lack money at all. He might even be content if Emmeline was willing to spend it.
That meant Emmeline didn't treat him as a stranger or an outsider.
In any case, he had no idea how much money he had. He couldn't possibly count it all. He was eager to give her everything as long as she could spend it.
Therefore, Jara had directly asked Uncle Poick to give her a black card some time ago.
There was no spending limit. So, she could spend as much as she wanted.
Of course, Emmeline would not feel sorry.
How could they be concerned about money now that her life was intertwined with Jara's?
Emmeline and Yunne then started shopping in the mall.
Yunne was still constrained at first, most likely because she wasn't used to it, and her body appeared restricted as a result.
Furthermore, not knowing if it was Emmeline's illusion or not, she felt that, while Yunne appeared to be quite happy, she seemed to have something on her mind.
It would, however, be inconvenient for Emmeline to ask if Yunne did not mention it.
After all, everyone had their own privacy. Although she regarded Yunne as a friend, she did not want to interfere too much in her personal life.
They started by looking around the jewelry store on the first floor.
Emmeline was uninterested in jewels. She usually just wore the most basic ones.
Because of her years of martial arts practice, she believed that wearing too much jewelry would impede her motions and draw attention to herself. It would also be troublesome for her day-to-day activities.
As a result, she had established a minimalistic aesthetic approach through the years.
Even if she were to attend some formal event, she would rarely wear large jewelry.
However, because she was already here, she decided to take a stroll.
Thus, Emmeline took Yunne through the counters one by one.
Although no one knew who she was, they could tell she was no average person when they saw the bodyguards trailing behind her.
Their attitudes toward her grew even more attentive.
After roaming around for a while, Emmeline took a fancy to a red agate bracelet. The bracelet's construction was simple. Most importantly, the silver needle she had previously studied could sit inside.
After buying the bracelet, they headed to the second floor.
The second floor was dedicated to fashion.
These fashionable dresses were all from well-known brands around the world. Emmeline took Yunne around, but she didn't find anything she liked.
Yunne had always wanted to try on some dresses, but she was still a little reserved. She was shy and eventually did not get the guts to speak up.
Emmeline saw through it and was not in a hurry.
Some things may be detrimental to people's self-esteem. It was better to allow her to take that move on her own.
She really regarded Yunne as one of her friends, so she wanted Yunne to improve as well.
Later, they headed to the third floor after finishing the second floor and not finding anything they liked.
The fashion section was also on the third floor.
They were, however, a little different. The second floor contained the first-rate tailor shops, while the third floor included a slew of prominent international boutiques.
There were some tailored clothes at the store as well. They were all limited editions.
After the two picked a store and went in, Emmeline asked them to show her the latest designs.
Of course, they didn't dare to delay. They took the design folio out and showed it to her while introducing them.
Emmeline looked at the new fashion and listened intently.
However, she was uninterested in the majority of them.
It was not until she turned to the last page of the folio that her fingers came to a halt.
The clerk smiled and introduced, "This is the latest design we produced this summer. It's a limited-edition dress. There are only five pieces in the world, and Doscea has one. The dress is inspired by leaves. The mint green color is fresh and cheery, which complements the design concept. It will surely make you appear elegant after wearing it."
Hearing that, Emmeline looked up at Yunne.
Yunne's features were delicate and lovely, even though she was not a dazzling beauty. She would look like a fresh and attractive beauty after dressing up.
At the thought of this, she couldn't help but smile.
Girls in love must always dress nicely to catch the crush's attention.
So, she pointed to the dress on the folio and inquired, "Do you have it in your store now?"
The clerk answered, smiling, "Yes, we do. You have arrived at the right time! This dress is exclusive to our store in Doscea, and no one has tried it on. I'll get it for you now."
"Sure, thank you."
The clerk grinned and walked away.
Yunne's eyes lit up as she gazed at the dress on the folio.
"This dress is extremely stunning," she exclaimed.
Emmeline said, "You think so too, right?"
"Mm." She nodded heavily.
"Put it on once the dress comes."
"Ah?" Yunne was stunned.
Then, she waved her hand with some embarrassment. "I can't, I..."
"Why not? You are so beautiful, and your demeanor is clean and fresh, which complements the clothing. I believe you look lovely in this dress."
Yunne's gaze fell silently on the price figures on the folio, and she silently tallied in her heart.
One, two, three, five, six... It was a six-digit figure!
How many months of her salary would this be?
She probably wouldn't be able to afford it for the rest of her life.
Emmeline caught sight of her gaze and quietly covered the price with her fingers. Then she quietly smiled and added, "It doesn't matter. Try it on! No matter how pricey, the dress is designed for people to wear. We'll buy it if it's suitable. If it isn't, we'll discuss it later."
Yunne bit her lip.
She struggled in her heart for a while, but she still couldn't resist the temptation of the skirt, so she nodded and agreed.
Just then, her phone rang.
She took out her phone and looked at it. "Emmeline, I'll go out to pick up the phone from my home," she added, her expression changing slightly.
