Chapter 669 Apply The Ointment
Evelyn glared at him with resentment.
"How dare you!"
Marty smiled and touched the corner of her mouth, saying, "Sorry, I couldn't hold back my excitement. I'll take you to see a doctor later."
When she heard she needed to see the doctor, Evelyn couldn't help blushing again.
She gnashed her teeth and exclaimed, "Shut up! I won't go. You can go on your own."
Her look of anger did not seem to be angry at all. Instead, she looked a little coy.
Marty felt that the temptation that he had suppressed so hard had reappeared.
In order not to do anything out of line again, Marty quickly changed the subject.
"We'll go back this afternoon. Is there somewhere else you'd like to go? I will accompany you."
Evelyn thought for a while. In fact, it was rare for her to have a day off. So she just decided to stay in her room and sleep.
Furthermore, she was still sore all over her body as a result of what Marty had done to her the night before. As a result, she did not want to go anywhere.
Thus, she shook her head.
Marty did not insist when he saw her shaking her head. He drove her home after lunch after double-checking the time.
When they returned to the Lavender Villa, the servants were all there.
Evelyn didn't sleep well last night. So, as soon as she got home, she went to her room to sleep.
On the other hand, Marty had something to attend to in the afternoon, so he returned to the company.
Despite not sleeping deeply, Evelyn had slept for a long time and only woke up at seven in the evening.
In summer, the days were long and the nights were short. The sky was still not entirely dark in the evening.
Waking up, she narrowed her eyes and got out of bed to pull open the curtains. She then stretched lazily as she gazed at the view outside at dusk.
She was very hungry, and her stomach was growling.
After changing her clothes, Evelyn went downstairs. At this time, she saw Marty returning from outside.
"What took you so long?" she asked, looking at the wall clock.
It was only past two o'clock when they came back from outside this afternoon. At that time, Marty had already gone out. Since it was just a small issue, why did he leave for so long?
Marty glanced at her and said, "I could have returned by six o'clock. But I bought something on the way home."
Then he put on a pair of house shoes and approached her. Grabbing her arm, he forced her into the room.
Evelyn frowned and said, "What are you doing? I'm hungry. I want to have dinner."
Marty said in a coaxing tone, "Let's eat later. Trust me, I'll be quick."
After, he pushed Evelyn to her room.
Not knowing what he was going to do, she suddenly saw him pull a tube of ointment from his pocket. When she looked closer, she discovered that it was to treat the wound on the corner of her mouth.
Her small face, which had no expression before, flushed unexpectedly. She looked up at him and saw him smiling. He went on to say, "I went to St. Peter Hospital to get this. I heard that it works very well. It will help to alleviate your discomfort."
Evelyn clenched her fists, gritted her teeth and yelled, "Marty!"
Marty did not want to irritate her, so he quickly comforted her in a polite tone. "I'm sorry. It's all my fault. I couldn't hold back my excitement. I won't do it again. I promise."
Evelyn was at a loss about how to deal with him. She paused for a moment, recalling her painful experience when eating lunch, and decided to let him apply the ointment.
Fortunately, the ointment didn't have any strange smell and had a cooling effect. It was rather comfortable.
After that, she looked in the mirror and saw nothing. Perhaps the ointment melted immediately after application, which was a good thing.
After all, it would be embarrassing if anyone saw it.
With this thought in mind, she didn't say anything more. After putting on the ointment, she went downstairs to have a meal with Marty.
The dinner was naturally sumptuous, but before Marty returned, he specifically instructed the cooks at home to make the dinner as light as possible.
As a result, when they glanced at the dishes on the table at this time, they noticed that they were almost all light dishes.
At first, Evelyn had no idea. When Pattie served an avocado burrito bowl, she said to Evelyn with a smile, "Mrs. Hussain, since you have an ulcer, you should eat light foods. There is also bitter melon prepared especially for you. You must finish eating them!"
Evelyn was taken aback and stared at Pattie, perplexed.
Then, she pondered as she had mentioned having an ulcer.
She did not have an ulcer!
However, she soon came up with an answer.
Subconsciously, she lifted her hand and touched the wound at the corner of her mouth. Then, she turned to face Marty. When she saw him pursing his lips and holding back a smile, she immediately understood what was going on.
Immediately, her face flushed with anger, but she could not let it out with Pattie around.
In the end, she just snorted and said, "Alright. Thank you, Pattie."
Hearing that, Pattie was pleased. A plate of bitter melon was promptly served to the table.
Evelyn looked at Marty and sneered insidiously. "Marty, you mentioned that you have an ulcer too, right? You should have some too!"
Marty paused.
Everyone knew that he disliked bitter melons the most.
Looking at the dish, he forced out a smile. "Honey, I don't have an ulcer."
"What? You just mentioned that just now!"
Marty was the rendered speechless.
Pattie and the others, on the other hand, were trying hard not to laugh. They were on the verge of losing control.
She did not expect Evelyn to be so worried about Marty that she recalled even such minor details.
They were indeed an affectionate couple.
However, Marty felt very wronged in his heart.
When did he have an ulcer? Evelyn was just talking nonsense!
However, in the face of Evelyn's threatening look, he dared not say or ask anything.
In the end, he had to bear the fruits of his own suffering.
Therefore, in the end, he had to eat almost all of the bitter melons.
After that, Marty immediately went to get some watermelon to eat.
Seeing him frown because of the bitterness, Evelyn felt her mood become better after being depressed for a whole day.
The next day, she was left with one day off.
After some thought, she decided to invite Clarissa to go shopping since she did not have anything else to do.
Clarissa was very occupied, but she managed to find some time.
Lauren was recently involved in the promotion of a new movie. As a result, she was unable to accompany Clarissa.
It just so happened that Evelyn called, so she agreed.
Later, they arrived at Revelation Square and shopped around for a while before buying a few sets of clothes.
There were a few high-end fashion stores that the celebrities loved. Evelyn took a fancy to a dress and was about to go in and try it on. Unexpectedly, Clarissa's phone abruptly rang.
