Chapter 100 The Boss of Star Rise is Cecily

With confidence, a woman entered the room, impeccably dressed in a high-end suit tailored to perfection. Her high heels echoed confidently on the floor, emanating a smart and capable aura that exuded intellectual elegance. She moved with self-assurance, making her entrance with graceful poise.

Her beautiful face displayed its typical expression of cool detachment, while her clear, bright eyes briefly scanned the surroundings before settling on the folding screen. It was as if she were trying to peer through the screen to see the person behind it.

She withdrew her gaze, the calm in her eyes undisturbed but tinged with a hint of frost.

"Sorry everyone, I got held up in some traffic and arrived late," she exclaimed as soon as she entered the room.

Suddenly, a loud thud resonated through the room as the room divider was forcefully pushed over, indicating the evident agitation of the people behind it.

"Cecily!" Ophelia's sharp voice rang out, filled with disbelief.

Cecily's eyes remained calm as she glanced at the fallen screen, raising an eyebrow. It seemed the sight of her really made them lose their cool.

Cecily met their eyes with a serene look and asked with a chilly tone, "What are you two hiding back there for?"

Ophelia was visibly shaken and walked toward Cecily with large strides, her injured leg causing her to hobble comically.

A touch of amusement colored Cecily's beautiful eyes.

Ophelia's face scrunched up in frustration. "Why are you here?"

Cecily blinked slowly and responded in a steady voice, "What do you think, Ms. Ophelia?"

Ophelia's eyes narrowed as she said in disbelief, "You're the owner of Star Rise?"

Cecily lifted an eyebrow, her silence serving as confirmation.

"That's impossible," Elysia burst out, rushing forward. "There's no way, Cecily. What are you pretending for? I know exactly who you are. You're running a company now? That’s a joke."

At Elysia's words, an icy expression formed on Cecily's face.

"Ophelia, she can’t possibly be the CEO of Star Rise. Don’t forget she’s been abroad. How could she have started a company here?" Elysia reminded her.

Indeed, it didn't seem possible.

Cecily had spent her career abroad, serving as a doctor in a hospital. Starting a company in her hometown seemed inconceivable, not only because of her skills but also due to the unlikely chance of her having the financial means for such an endeavor.

The realization struck Ophelia, and she breathed a sigh of relief, realizing she had almost been misled. It truly seemed like a joke.

Elysia continued to mock Cecily with a sneer, "Cecily, it seems like you're stalking us, coming here just to make us sick. This isn't a place for you, so get the heck out."

Cecily's expression grew colder still. If she recalled correctly, this was the private room her assistant had arranged for her. Yet, here was someone unfamiliar, seemingly materializing out of thin air, insisting that she vacate the premises.

How amusing.

A more sardonic smile crossed Cecily's face.

Ophelia took a deep breath, having regained her composure, and looked at Cecily with a smile. "Ms. Cecily, you must have walked into the wrong room, haven't you?"

Cecily nonchalantly replied, "No mistake here. I am sure this is the room I'm supposed to be in."

"Lying now? Cecily, if you don't get out, we'll call security on you," Elysia said, fuming at Cecily.

"What on earth is going on here?" a few representatives from the partnering business asked, all clearly confused by the scene in front of them.

Elysia spoke up loudly, "This woman is pretending to be the boss of Star Rise. Don't let her deceive you. At best, she could be a janitor, calling herself a boss, pfft."

Elysia's frantic attempts to persuade everyone that Cecily wasn't the CEO of Star Rise revealed her growing fear. The more frenzied her efforts, the clearer her dread of Cecily potentially assuming ownership of the company became.

Cecily, confronted with Elysia's vulgar speech, showed not the slightest hint of anger. Instead, the corners of her mouth lifted into an even wider smirk.

Ophelia squinted at Cecily and said, "Ms. Cecily, I suggest you leave quickly before security comes to kick you out. I'd hate for you to be embarrassed."

"We'll see who gets kicked out," Cecily replied leisurely, glancing at her.

Ophelia stepped closer to Cecily, hissing into her ear, "Cecily, what are you even trying to pull here? Don't think just because you say you're the boss of Star Rise that I'll believe you. Just scram, I'm sick of looking at you."

"I find you more repulsive. One of us should definitely leave."

Ophelia gave a snort of derision, full of scorn. She then called out for the waiter, "Waiter."

The waiter at the door promptly came in.

"Go get your manager. There's a disturbance here. We've tried reasoning with her but she simply won't leave our private space. Call security to get her out or we'll be forced to lodge a complaint," Ophelia ordered.

Elysia swiftly chimed in, "That's right, get someone to throw her out now!"

The waiter didn't know what to do, so he immediately went to find the manager and call security.

Ophelia watched Cecily with a cold gaze and confidently said, "I gave you a chance, and you didn't take it."

Cecily smiled and took a seat next to her. "All right, let's wait then." She was curious to see who the manager would ask to leave.

Elysia stepped forward and pushed Cecily off the chair. "Are you crazy? Who told you to sit down? You're getting bolder by the minute. Are you out of money and trying to get a free meal?"

Cecily swiftly dodged, lessening the impact, then straightened up and regarded Elysia with a colder demeanor.

"What are you staring at me for?"

Cecily scoffed, "I just feel sorry for you."

Hearing the commotion, the manager hurried over and asked, "Ladies, what's going on here?"

Ophelia stepped forward, gave Cecily a dismissive glance, and said, "This lady seems to be confused about which booth she's in. She insists on staying in our booth and won't leave. We had no choice but to use force to get her out."

Cecily stayed silent, giving them room to continue.

Elysia immediately chimed in, "Yeah, she must be desperate, coming over here to freeload. Get security to kick her out."
The manager looked at them with a troubled expression then glanced at Cecily, who didn't seem like someone who would freeload, and asked, "Maybe there's been some misunderstanding?"

"There's no misunderstanding," Ophelia said, seeing that Cecily stayed quiet since the manager arrived. She spoke with even more authority, "Just have someone escort her out."

The manager hesitated and turned to Cecily, asking, "Ma'am, did you perhaps enter the wrong booth?"

"I'm in the right place. I booked this booth," said Cecily calmly. "You arrived just in time, Mr. Manager. I've actually scheduled a meeting with a business partner here to discuss a project. However, these women, who were initially hidden behind the room divider, are now causing a disturbance to have me expelled. It appears their reasoning is flawed. Resorting to security intervention won't address the issue. I recommend directing them straight to a psychiatric facility."

Ophelia was bewildered at Cecily's response and retorted sarcastically, "I think the person who needs a trip to the psychiatric hospital is you."

The manager, seeing the three women each with their own steadfast stories and none looking easy to mess with, didn't dare to offend anyone easily. He immediately sent someone to check the booking information for the booth.

Then he tried to calm the situation and said, "Ladies, please, let's not rush. We have someone checking the booking information for this booth right now. Results will be available shortly. Please, remain calm."

The manager, being shrewd, made sure not to take sides before the results were clear.

Ophelia and Elysia shared a smile, their lips curling in unison. "Nothing could be better," Ophelia said.

Just then, someone from the business partner's side spoke up, "Miss, you really must have the wrong place. I just contacted the manager from Star Rise, and he said they are still on the way and will be late."

Elysia let out a derisive laugh in response.

Hearing this, Ophelia felt a wave of relief wash over her and looked at Cecily with an even more mocking gaze.

Suddenly, someone called for security. Before long, four guards entered as one of them asked, "Who's causing trouble here?"

Ophelia and Elysia were brimming with malice. Ophelia raised her hand, pointing directly at Cecily. "This lady here is the troublemaker. Please escort her out."
