Chapter 357 Is Cecily Pregnant?

Larkin did not understand, but he still followed Darian's instructions.

Hayden hurriedly helped Cecily out of the car. Cecily took a few steps without noticing the steps ahead, and Hayden failed to remind her in time, causing her to take a hard fall.

Hayden's pupils contracted, and he rushed over in a flash. "Cecily, I'm sorry, I forgot to remind you about the steps. Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, it's not your fault. I forgot again that I'm blind."

Heavy footsteps approached, and Darian's face looked extremely grim as he scooped Cecily up.

"Darian?"

Sensing Darian's presence, Cecily had just called his name when he steadied her.

Darian knelt down, lifting her pant leg to check her knee. Her old wounds had not yet healed, and there were fresh injuries, her knees covered in scars.

Darian's pupils contracted.

Not only that, but besides her knees, there were multiple bruises on her calves, likely from accidentally bumping into things when no one was around to take care of her.

Darian's expression grew even colder, his eyes full of pain.

Cecily tugged at her pant leg, "It's fine. I'll put some ointment on it when I get back. Stand up, I have something to ask you."

"Did you have a fight with Mr. Owen Fitzgerald?"

On the way here, Hayden had already told her everything. Darian had come in a rage, and it was inevitable that he had quarreled with Owen.

Darian did not answer, his gaze fixed on Cecily's face, completely unable to look away.

He stared at her face, feeling a dense, suffocating pain in his heart.

"Darian, say something."

"Are you an idiot?"

On second thought, she realized that wasn't the right thing to say.

Darian's lower lip twitched slightly as he pulled her into a tight embrace, holding her firmly.

"I'm the biggest idiot in the world."

There was no one more foolish than him.

She had saved him, yet he had hurt her for three years. In the end, he had even punished her for another woman by forcing her to take an abortion pill.

Darian closed his eyes deeply, his strong arms trembling slightly.

Cecily only felt his head heavily rest on her shoulder, weighing her down. After a few seconds of silence, Cecily's soft voice finally broke the quiet, "There's no need for this. It's been so many years; I've long forgotten. You having a fallout with Mr. Owen Fitzgerald must have made Josep and his family very pleased, right?"

"It doesn't matter anymore." Darian listened to Cecily's words, the pain in his heart growing more pronounced.

None of that mattered anymore.

"No matter what, he's still your grandfather. Don't act on impulse. You're angry now because you found out you were deceived, but you'll regret it once you calm down."

"I'm not acting on impulse."

Cecily pulled away from Darian's embrace. "What?"

Darian lowered his gaze, carefully studying her delicate features. He raised his hand to gently caress Cecily's brows and eyes, his deep voice slowly saying, "I'll rely on you to support me from now on. Don't despise me."

"What do you mean?"

Cecily didn't understand at first, but quickly she remembered that Darian had given her all his assets except for the shares of Fitzgerald Group.

Now that he had fallen out with Owen, his shares might have been taken back as well.

Was Darian now penniless?

Of course, Darian couldn't really be penniless, but the thought was oddly amusing.

"You regret it now, don't you? I told you not to give me all your assets. Now you've become a pauper."

If Cecily could see at this moment, she would notice the deep affection in Darian's eyes as he looked at her.

It was as if he wanted to etch her current appearance into his mind forever, never to forget.

Darian gave a bitter smile, "Yes, I'm just a penniless man now."

Cecily shook her head and sighed heavily, patting Darian's shoulder. "Don't worry, I'm always ruthless. If you make me angry, you'll have to wander the streets on your own. After all, this villa we're living in is under my name now. Come on, call me 'boss' first, and I'll take care of you from now on."

Darian's eyes flickered as he looked at Cecily's joking expression, a slight curve appearing at the corner of his lips. "Boss."

Cecily smiled in satisfaction, "Good. Seeing how pitiful you are, you can come home with me."

Darian's smile deepened. "I have some matters to attend to. You go back first."

"What matters?"

"Important ones."

Seeing that Darian wouldn't elaborate, Cecily didn't press further. "Come back early."

"Alright." Darian personally helped Cecily into the car and asked Hayden, "Please take her home for me."

"Sure, don't worry. Are you sure you're okay?" Hayden looked at Darian's face, sensing something was off.

"I'm fine."

After replying, Darian got into another car and drove off.

Listening to the car driving away, Cecily was lost in thought.

As soon as Hayden got into the car, Cecily said, "Mr. Davis, follow him."

"Follow him?" Hayden lifted his gaze, hesitated for two seconds, and then immediately started the car.

After more than half an hour, Cecily felt the car come to a stop. She slowly turned her head towards the window. "Mr. Davis, where are we?"

"We're at the hospital." Hayden rested his hand on the window. "Could it be that Darian is sick and didn't tell you to avoid worrying you?"

"Maybe."

"Do you want to go in and check?"

Cecily lowered her gaze and remained silent for a few seconds before saying softly, "No need."

She already had a hunch.

"Please take me home, and about us following him..."

"I understand, I won't tell Darian."

After all, it was him who secretly followed Darian with Cecily. He wouldn't be foolish enough to tell Darian.

Hayden took Cecily home, and the maid informed her that Sandra had moved in. Cecily nodded and initially thought of greeting Sandra in her room. However, realizing her current inconvenience, she decided to wait until the next morning.

"Miss Watson, do you want to go upstairs?"

"Yes, back to my room."

The servant helped Cecily back to her room. After dismissing the servant, Cecily groped her way to the bathroom to wash up.

Just as she finished washing up, there were two knocks on the door.

"Come in."

"Miss Watson." The servant came in with a bowl of soup. "Miss Watson, Mrs. Fitzgerald heard you were injured and instructed the kitchen to make some chicken and corn chowder for you. Would you like some?"

Since the servant had already brought it in and it was specially instructed by Sandra, Cecily had no reason to refuse. "Alright, thank Mrs. Fitzgerald for me."

The servant set down the tray, helped Cecily to the sofa, and then served her a bowl of soup, handing it to her.

Cecily took a sip and immediately felt a wave of discomfort in her stomach. She quickly covered her mouth and dry-heaved.

"Miss Watson, are you alright?"

Cecily furrowed her brows, realizing something. Her expression turned anxious as she placed a hand on her abdomen.

She suddenly remembered that her period was late by several days, and the last time she and Darian had been intimate, they hadn't used protection. Aurelie had also warned her.

Cecily's face stiffened. She thought she might be pregnant, and her heart trembled.

"Miss Watson, are you feeling unwell? Should I call the family doctor?"

Cecily's mind was in a daze.
