Chapter 411 Both Deserve It

Freya's pale lips curled into a smile. "I thought the same."

"But I really didn't expect Cecily to be so smart. I thought everything was fine, but she still found out."

Jennifer said, "Luckily, Bryan was by your side at the time, otherwise, you would have been in real danger today."

Freya nodded, a hint of ruthlessness flashing in her eyes. "Mom, I think we can't just sit around and wait any longer."

"What do you mean?"

"Although Darian hasn't remembered Cecily yet, the longer they spend together, the deeper their feelings will grow. We can't let this continue, and last night's events inadvertently helped them. If I wait any longer, there will be no place for me by his side."

Seeing the fierce look in Freya's eyes, Jennifer asked, "What do you plan to do?"

Freya grasped Jennifer's hand, the ruthlessness in her eyes growing stronger. "She has opposed me time and again, so we should make her disappear."

Jennifer was stunned. "You want to..." She paused, quickly glanced at the door, and lowered her voice. "You want to kill her? Are you crazy?"

"I'm not crazy, Mom. I want to be Darian's wife, and Cecily is our biggest obstacle. I can't wait any longer. Besides, she's the one who opposed me first, so don't blame me for being ruthless."

Jennifer's heart pounded as she listened to Freya's crazy idea. "It's too dangerous, Freya. What if we get caught?"

"We won't get caught. Of course, we won't do it ourselves. Last night's incident was enough to make Victor and Aurelia hate Cecily, especially Aurelia."

"You plan to use them to get rid of Cecily? That's not an easy task. Cecily has people protecting her."

Freya gritted her teeth. "No matter how well she's protected, there will always be moments of negligence, right?"

Although Jennifer felt uneasy about Freya's plan, she didn't stop her.

After dinner, Cecily was kept behind by Vivienne, while Darian was naturally sent away.

Even Rowan and Griffin felt sorry for Darian and said to him, "Serves you right."

Cecily looked at Darian and couldn't help but laugh.

Darian looked at Rowan and Griffin, who were kicking him while he was down, and then at Cecily, who was leaning on the sofa with a face full of schadenfreude. His already dark expression turned even darker.

Cecily restrained herself a bit, raised her hand, and waved at Darian. "You should go now, bye."

Darian stood still.

Cecily blinked and asked, "Can't bear to leave? If you don't go, my mom will have someone throw you out."

"When can you come back with me? Aren't you my wife?" Darian was exasperated.

"Who's your wife? Let me remind you. We divorced before."

"Then let's remarry."

Darian's sudden words made Cecily pause for a moment.

'Remarry?' Cecily thought.

She stood up, walked closer to Darian, stared into his dark eyes, and asked, "Do you want to remarry me because you love me, or simply because you want me and the kids to come home with you?"

Darian looked into Cecily's beautiful eyes and didn't answer her question immediately.

'Love?

I don't know,' he thought to himself.

To the current Darian, Cecily was like a stranger who had just appeared in his life three days ago.

He couldn't say he loved her, but there was one thing he couldn't deny—he liked being close to her, liked having her around.

Without her, he didn't want to return to that empty villa at all.

What he said this morning about only reacting to her wasn't a lie.

He had many women around him, but none of them interested him, only her. She didn't need to do anything, and she could easily make him want to be close to her.

Darian reasonably attributed all these reactions to the fact that he must have loved her deeply before he lost his memory.

But now, he couldn't bring himself to say the word, love.

Cecily continued to stare at Darian, but when he fell silent, she knew the answer.

Rowan and Griffin kept poking Darian's butt from behind.

'Answer the question.

You should answer mommy's question,' they thought.

Griffin even wanted to pry open Darian's mouth to answer.

He was talking just fine a moment ago, but when it came to such an important question, he became mute?

Griffin put his hands on his hips and said, "Stupid daddy, just say you love mommy, and mommy will go back with you."

Rowan's little face was full of helplessness. "Maybe daddy doesn't want to lie to mommy."

Griffin understood, waved his hand, and said, "So he doesn't love mommy. Fine, go call grandma to kick him out. He deserves to live alone."

"You two don't understand." Darian grabbed the little rascals poking him from behind and moved them aside.

"Adults are talking, kids go away."

"We're going to find grandma."

Cecily looked at them, amused and helpless, then turned her gaze back to Darian. "You still haven't answered my question."

Although she already knew the answer, Cecily still asked one more time, unwilling to give up.

"Give me some time.

I will fall in love with you."

Cecily smiled faintly. She understood so she didn't press Darian on this question any further. "So, are we dating again now?"

"If you like, you can think of it that way."

Cecily smiled. "Okay, I understand. You can go now, bye."

Darian sighed, reluctant but had to leave.

Cecily stood by the floor-to-ceiling window, quietly watching Darian's car leave. At the same time, she saw a familiar figure at the villa's entrance.

It was Bryan again.

Darian's car slowly drove out and finally stopped beside Bryan.

Bryan was standing in the same spot as he was during the day.

The car window rolled down, and Darian's handsome face showed a faint smile. "Why are you standing here?"

Bryan looked at the lit room on the second floor, his dark eyes flickering with complex emotions.

"I'm feeling troubled. Standing here and looking at that light makes me feel a bit more at ease."

Looking at Bryan, Darian thought of what Rowan and Griffin had said to him. He then said, "Serves you right."

Bryan withdrew his gaze and glanced at Darian. "You got kicked out too. Serves you right."

It felt like they had each stabbed the other, and neither knew if it brought any satisfaction.

Darian smirked. "It's not worth it to break up your family for unrelated people. Instead of standing here daydreaming, you should send that mother and daughter away."

Bryan glanced at Darian again.

"Mind your own business."

Darian sneered.

'If I haven't found out today that Bryan is Cecily's biological father, I wouldn't have bothered to stand here and talk to him,' he wondered.

Seeing Cecily's sad expression made him uncomfortable too.
