Chapter 666 "You two, stop pretending to be deaf and dumb, explain yourselves."
Cecily replied calmly, "No one can just do whatever they want. The company has its rules, and no one can challenge them, whether it's the top executives or us."
Cecily's words were strong and firm, her eyes sweeping over Hunter and Keaen.
"Cecily, you're seriously going to fire all the top executives over something so minor? You're the one doing whatever you want," Hunter said, pretending to be angry as he stared at Cecily.
He seemed mad at Cecily's actions, but in reality, he was pleased. Because Cecily's actions would end up offending everyone.
Cecily shot back, "Aren't you the ones doing whatever you want?"
Hunter retorted, "Are we? As board members, we follow the rules every day and never dare to make any mistakes. Don't twist the facts."
Cecily smiled and nodded, knowing exactly what they were thinking.
Cecily replied, "Alright, then I apologize for saying that. As board members, you follow the rules and don't dare to make mistakes, but others ignore the company's rules and skip meetings without permission. That's really too much."
Hunter frowned, feeling more and more that something was off, sensing that he had fallen into Cecily's trap.
At that moment, the door to the conference room swung open.
Everyone was momentarily stunned.
Hunter and Keaen stood up and turned to see who was entering.
Hunter squinted at them, utterly astonished.
All the top executives of the company had arrived.
Bronte walked over to Cecily and slightly bowed her head. "It's done."
Cecily nodded. "You did well."
Bronte quickly stepped back to Cecily's side. She was just a messenger, and even then she felt she had offended people. She really didn't know how Cecily had the guts to say such things.
During the time from their offices to the conference room, she could feel the anger of these top executives.
After all, who would feel good about being fired over such a small matter? They were definitely here to demand an explanation.
Bronte stood behind Cecily, trembling with fear, worried for her.
Giselle crossed her arms, wanting to see how Cecily would handle the mess she had created.
Meanwhile, far away in a villa on an island, Vivienne sat in front of a monitor, watching the scene in the conference room.
A doctor, who was constantly monitoring Vivienne's health condition, also watched the screen nervously.
Although he was just a doctor, he understood how much trouble it was to openly fire all the top executives.
It was like someone suddenly decided to fire all the chief specialists in a hospital; it would cause chaos.
He couldn't help but feel nervous for Cecily, while Vivienne, leaning back on the sofa, remained calm, with a hint of anticipation in her eyes, curious to see how Cecily would resolve this issue.
The doctor asked, "Madam, aren't you worried? Miss Watson has offended quite a few people, and they might make things difficult for her in the future."
Vivienne calmly watched, her voice steady, "I believe that if she dares to say such things, she has a way to resolve it. If she can't, she might as well go back to Silver Frost Capital with Darian and live a peaceful life."
The doctor kept watching the screen, totally stumped on how Cecily was going to get out of this mess.
The second Cecily said "fire," she had already ticked off a lot of people.
Vivienne stayed quiet, her eyes glued to Cecily's every move on the screen.
In the conference room, none of the arriving executives looked happy.
They all started voicing their anger. "I'd like to know what mistake I made to get fired."
"Yeah, me too. I've been busting my butt for this company for over a decade, and now I get a sudden termination notice? There should be a reason for firing me, right?"
"Exactly, who issued the termination notice? We need a reason, or we won't accept it."
These top executives had been with the company for decades, and none of them were pushovers.
Giselle held back a laugh, her eyes constantly on Cecily. She stepped forward and said, "Everyone, please calm down. The termination order was issued by Cecily, our chairwoman's only daughter. It's her first day at the company, and she might have issued such an order to establish her authority. But I think she was just joking, so don't be angry. Let's talk things over."
Giselle made sure to highlight Cecily's identity and that it was her first day at the company.
The reason "to establish Cecily's authority" made everyone's anger hit the roof.
They glared at Cecily with extreme anger.
One of the executives demanded, "So that's how it is. Then, Miss Watson, please give us a reasonable explanation."
After listening to them, Cecily finally spoke, "Hunter and Keaen organized a meeting for all the top executives. When the meeting time came, except for a few of us, no one showed up. You are top executives, but does that mean you can ignore company rules, skip meetings without permission or explanation?"
She went on, "Bennett Group is such a large company, and not a single executive shows up for a meeting. Outsiders might think there's internal strife or conflict within Bennett Group. Isn't this a big deal?"
The executives were all puzzled.
"What meeting? Who said there was a meeting? I didn't get any notice."
"Exactly, who said there was a meeting? I didn't know about it."
"No one said there was a meeting. Are you making things up?"
"Didn't know about the meeting?" Cecily raised an eyebrow slightly, "Didn't Hunter and Keaen say they notified everyone? What does this mean?"
Cecily looked at Hunter and Keaen, whose faces had changed.
The two were silent for a moment.
Cecily spoke again, "Didn't you say you informed all the top executives about the meeting? But no one knows what's going on. Do you need to give everyone an explanation?"
With Cecily's words, everyone turned to Hunter and Keaen.
Hunter and Keaen were panicking inside.
The executives asked separately, "Hunter, when did you call for a meeting?"
"We didn't get any notice."
"Neither did I. My assistant didn't inform me. I had no idea there was a meeting this morning. Hunter, Keaen, are you sure you notified us?"
Cecily raised an eyebrow slightly and leaned against the table, looking at the two, "Don't play dumb. Explain yourselves."
