Chapter383 Going to Darian's Company

Faced with Bryan's tough attitude, Cecily also lost her temper. "There is no misunderstanding. I don't need to apologize, and there's nothing more to say. That's it, goodbye."

Cecily's tone was firm and decisive. She didn't give Bryan any chance to speak further and directly hung up the phone.

The busy signal echoed from the other end, and Bryan's expression grew colder.

Throwing the phone aside, Cecily rubbed her hair and glanced at the clock on the wall, realizing it was already ten in the morning. Her mind went blank for a moment as memories of the previous night flooded back.

She remembered going to pick up Aurelie and having a few drinks, getting a bit tipsy. They couldn't find the car in the parking lot, and then...

Then she saw Darian!

Darian!

She suddenly looked around. ‘This is my room. Did Darian bring me back last night?’

She remembered Darian had spoken to her at length, his gentleness towards her was exceptional, as gentle as the Darian she once knew.

Cecily's eyes flickered. 'Has he remembered me?' With this thought, she freshened up, changed her clothes, and headed out.

At this hour, Darian would be at work.

Arriving at the Fitzgerald Group building, Cecily walked into the grand edifice with her bag in hand.

It wasn't her first time at the Fitzgerald Group, and she had some understanding of it.

In the lobby, men and women came and went, all looking sharp and efficient, busy with their tasks.

Throughout the building, from department heads to regular employees, everyone was diligently working.

Darian managed the Fitzgerald Group very well. The Fitzgerald Group couldn't do without Darian, which was one of the reasons Cecily had asked Landon to help stop Darian from donating his corneas to her.

Darian was willing to put her first, which touched her deeply. But if she really used Darian's corneas, who would the vast Fitzgerald Group rely on in the future?

Putting her thoughts aside, Cecily stepped up to the front desk, as two hurried individuals brushed past her.

"Mr. Fitzgerald is really incompetent, and he has so many issues."

"Who are you talking about?"

"Of course, it's our boss's cousin, Victor. The project he's in charge of has huge problems. I heard the boss already blew up at him."

Cecily paused, frowning.

The receptionist greeted her with a standard smile, "Miss, who are you here to see? Miss?"

Cecily snapped back to reality. "Hello, I'm here to see Darian, your president."

She hadn't had the chance to get Darian's phone number last night and couldn't contact him now.

The receptionist's expression subtly changed as she looked Cecily up and down.

Cecily's casual attire seemed out of place in the serious and fast-paced atmosphere of the building.

The receptionist seemed to understand something and then asked, "Miss, do you have an appointment?"

"No, but could you please call and inform him? Just tell him my name is Cecily."

"I'm sorry, our president is very busy. Without an appointment, it's not possible." The receptionist directly refused Cecily.

"Can't you just inform him?" asked Cecily.

The receptionist smiled apologetically. "I'm really sorry, miss, but it's not possible. There are many people like you. If we informed him about everyone, our president wouldn't be able to do anything else."

"People like me? What kind of person am I?" Cecily was momentarily puzzled.

The receptionist, still smiling, gestured towards the lounge area.

Following her gaze, Cecily saw several women sitting in the lounge, all dressed beautifully, holding flowers, and some with exquisite lunch boxes.

Cecily immediately understood why the receptionist had that knowing look when she saw her.

They thought she was here to pursue Darian, just like those women.

Cecily smiled helplessly.

It seemed that in the year she was away from Silver Frost Capital, Darian was never short of female admirers.

"Here comes another one," the receptionist said, looking at a stunning woman walking towards them. "Hello, I'm here to see your president."

Cecily's mouth twitched.

The woman was exquisitely beautiful, with a curvaceous figure, a true enchantress.

‘With so many beautiful women pursuing him every day, can he really remain unmoved?’ Cecily had her doubts.

"Cecily, it's you again." A familiar voice sounded behind her, and Cecily turned to see Victor walking towards her.

A hint of wariness rose in Cecily's heart.

Victor was perhaps the type who wasn't afraid of getting beaten up. He had been beaten twice and still dared to approach her.

As he got closer, Cecily smelled the alcohol on him.

During work hours, he seemed like he had just been with a woman, his eyes slightly dazed with a hint of intoxication. "You're here to see Darian? You really are persistent, aren't you?"

Cecily frowned slightly. "That's between him and me. What does it have to do with you? Why do you keep coming near me? Haven't you had enough of getting beaten up?"

Victor knew that in such a public place, Cecily wouldn't make a move on him, but he didn't dare to be too bold either. He just leaned in slightly and asked, "I'm really curious why you're so fixated on Darian. Is it just because he's the president of the Fitzgerald Group? What if I told you that the Fitzgerald Group might not end up in Darian's hands in the future?"

Cecily's eyes narrowed.

At that moment, outside the Fitzgerald Group building, a line of luxury cars slowly came to a stop, and a group of company executives in suits got out, all eyes turning to the last car.

Larkin quickly got out and opened the door for Darian. "Mr. Darian."

Darian stepped out of the car, his tall figure wrapped in a perfectly tailored suit, his handsome face cold and intimidating.
