Chapter 609: Won't Let Aurelie Go

"Aurelie, let her go," Nathaniel said, his voice icy.

"If I let her go, will she spare me?" Aurelie's grip stayed tight, her eyes just as cold.

"Lillian!" Laura burst in, her face going pale at the sight.

Brent, right behind Laura, looked just as shocked. "What the hell are you doing? Let go of my daughter."

"Aurelie, let her go, and I'll help you get out of here," Nathaniel said, his gaze locked on Aurelie.

"Yeah, let Lillian go. We can talk about whatever you want," Laura chimed in quickly.

Seeing her parents, Lillian got cocky again. "Aurelie, if you mess with me, you're dead meat."

The bridesmaids nearby exchanged looks, like they were watching a train wreck.

Seriously? She was threatening someone holding a knife to her throat?

"You really wanna play this game? Just remember, I am the one with the razor in hand," Aurelie said, pressing the eyebrow razor closer to Lillian's neck.

Lillian tensed up, her hatred boiling, but she was too scared to push Aurelie any further. "Help me!" she yelled at her parents and Nathaniel.

Brent stayed calm, quietly telling someone to call for help and notify the cops.

Laura stopped him. "We can't call the cops. It's Lillian's wedding. If the police show up, it'll be a disaster. Plus, all the guests are outside. What'll they think?"

Laura knew Lillian's personality. Seeing Aurelie's outfit, she guessed Lillian had started this mess.

If the cops came, they'd dig into everything. It'd ruin the wedding.

Better to handle it quietly.

Brent nodded, agreeing, and called for more bodyguards instead.

Nathaniel's face darkened. Before anyone could react, he stepped forward, grabbed Aurelie's hand, and took the razor from her.

Seeing she was safe, Lillian slapped Aurelie.

Aurelie couldn't dodge, one hand still held by Nathaniel.

Lillian screamed, "Bitch, you wanna kill me? Go to hell!"

Nathaniel's eyes went cold, a fierce aura radiating from him.

Aurelie gritted her teeth and kicked Lillian in the stomach. Lillian stumbled back, hitting her back on a table corner, gasping in pain and unable to stand.

"Lillian!" Laura rushed to help her up.

Lillian's eyes were red with rage. "Kill that bitch!"

"Someone, get over here," Brent said, seeing Lillian hurt. He wasn't letting Aurelie off. But when he turned to send someone after her, she was already gone.

Nathaniel was gone too.

"Brent, Nathaniel just took Aurelie away," a bridesmaid hiding nearby said.

Lillian screamed, "Dad, don't let Aurelie get away. I want her dead!"

Lillian had never been so humiliated. She couldn't stand it.

Laura wanted to stop her, but Lillian looked like a total maniac, who just busted out of an asylum. If she ran out like this, she'd embarrass herself and the whole Lewis family.

"Lillian!" Laura shouted.

"Get back here!" Brent barked. "How long are you gonna keep this up? The guests are all outside. You wanna shame us by running out like a lunatic?"

"Dad," Lillian whined, "Can't you see that bitch hit me? She's getting away. Why aren't you stopping her?"

Brent's face was stone-cold. He wasn't dumb. Even without seeing the whole thing, he knew Lillian had bullied Aurelie first, and Aurelie just snapped.

"If you hadn't provoked her, would she have come here to hit you for no reason? Today is your wedding. Even if you wanna deal with her, can't you wait until after the wedding?" Brent frowned deeply, feeling helpless seeing Lillian's bruised face.

She couldn't beat Aurelie but still insisted on poking the bear, being both useless and reckless.

"Alright, enough. No matter what, I won't let Aurelie off, but it'll be after the wedding. Call the makeup artist to fix your face. There's still some time before the ceremony. Get ready." After trying to calm her down, Brent quickly walked out.

Laura kept trying to soothe Lillian.

Lillian's eyes were filled with malice. 'Aurelie, I will make you pay! No matter what!'

Nathaniel dragged Aurelie out of the hotel, his face blank. Aurelie yanked her hand away and turned her face, "You should go back."

Nathaniel stared at her, his eyes darkening until there was no warmth left. "I'll send someone to take you back. Don't run around. Think about how to apologize to Lillian."

After today's mess, not just Lillian, but Brent wouldn't let Aurelie off either. They didn't have time to deal with her now, but after the wedding, none of them would spare her.

Aurelie closed her eyes, trying to hide the pain inside.

Sometimes she felt so exhausted.

It made her want to run to a bridge and jump off.

Would everything end if she died? Would she be free from this exhaustion?

Taking a deep breath, Aurelie opened her eyes, said nothing, and turned to leave.

Nathaniel watched her walk away, his eyes filled with complex emotions. He closed his eyes, and when he opened them again, the emotions had finally calmed down a bit.

At that moment, a car parked unnoticed beside the hotel. Inside, Stanley, wearing sunglasses, quietly watched the two at the entrance. His long fingers gently tapped on his phone as he asked, "Nathaniel recklessly hit the casino people. Is there still no movement from the casino?"

The subordinate in the passenger seat thought for a moment and then turned back to answer, "From what I've heard, their people have been watching him. It's only a matter of time before they act."

Stanley smiled, "Remind them to hurry up."

"Yes," the subordinate nodded.

When Nathaniel returned to the dressing room, Lillian was still in a frenzy. She had smashed a bunch of stuff, and even Laura couldn't calm her down.
