Chapter 507 Cecily Said She Wouldn't See Anyone

Upon Darian and the others' arrival at Cecily's ward, they were greeted by the sight of Vivienne, Gary, and Aurelie seated outside. The atmosphere was tense, with the door tightly closed and an air of gravity lingering in the surroundings.

Darian's heart skipped a beat, and he quickly walked over. "What's going on?"

Aurelie stood up and glanced at the closed door. "Cecily said she wanted to be alone for a while and asked us all to leave."

Blaise's eyes darkened. "What did you tell her?"

Aurelie bit her lip. "Just about the baby."

There was no hiding it; Considering that Cecily would find out herself, they didn't keep it from her.

Darian gave the people at the door a deep look and walked over silently. With a trembling hand, he tightly gripped the doorknob. After a few moments of hesitation, he mustered the courage to push the door open.

The ward was eerily quiet, so quiet it made his heart race.

Cecily lay on the bed with her back to the door, her thin body curled up under the blanket. Despite the ward being warm, she seemed unable to feel it, trying to burrow herself completely under the blanket.

Darian noticed Cecily's shoulders trembling slightly, a sign of suppressed sobs. Her eyes were wet, and her eyelashes fluttered. She knew someone had entered. However, she was reluctant to open her eyes, preferring to keep them shut.

Seeing this, Darian's dark eyes filled with pain and guilt.

"You all go back first. I really want to be alone for a while." Her voice was choked, and she tried hard to suppress it, not letting her voice reveal her emotions.

Darian didn't listen to her. The next second, a familiar scent enveloped her, and strong arms wrapped around her, warmth seeping through the blanket.

Cecily's body stiffened, a shadow falling over her. She let Darian hold her, not moving, a tear sliding down her cheek.

Darian gently wiped away her tears and said in a low voice, "It's just the two of us here. If you want to cry, just cry."

The pain in her heart radiated, enveloping her with a suffocating and oppressive sensation.

Cecily didn't want to open her eyes. Even with Darian by her side, she didn't want to face reality. She wanted to force herself to sleep, hoping that when she woke up, everything would turn out to be just a nightmare.

She hadn't been exchanged by her biological father.

Her baby was still with her, growing in her belly, waiting to be born in nine months to see the world.

She didn't want to see them, didn't want to see the sadness on their faces, which only confirmed that her nightmare was real.

The thought terrified her, making her heart ache as if pricked by needles.

It hurt so much, really so much.

The emotional pain was far more intense than the physical pain.

She wasn't strong enough to tell everyone she was fine, that nothing had happened.

She wasn't fine. She didn't want to see anyone right now; she just wanted to wrap herself up and quietly process everything.

She pulled the blanket tighter around herself.

"Darian, you should go out too," she said in a broken voice, "I just want to sleep, and everything will be fine."

Darian looked at Cecily, his heart aching so much that his throat felt blocked. He wanted to say, "Everything will be okay," but he couldn't bring himself to say it.

Would everything really be okay? What was lost could never be regained, and the wounds in her heart would never heal.

"Okay." He kissed her forehead. "I'll tell them to leave. You get some rest."

Cecily kept her eyes tightly closed and nodded slightly.

Outside, the others saw Darian come out quickly and anxiously look into the ward. Vivienne, controlling her sadness, asked, "What did Cecily say?"

"She doesn't want to see anyone. You should all go back." Darian said.

Vivienne was pained by Cecily's current state. She didn't want to see anyone; she was struggling with herself.

How could she go on like this?

She couldn't go on like this.

Vivienne wanted to go in, but Darian stopped her.

Darian's eyes were cold. "What do you want to say to her? Tell her not to be sad, to be strong?

Will those words help? She's been through so much pain. Why should she pretend nothing happened and quickly pull herself together just because of a few words from you?"

Vivienne listened to Darian's words, frozen in place, her eyes red and sore.

"Give her some breathing room. She needs time to recover on her own. Don't expect her to be some kind of superhuman who can instantly bounce back from anything."

Vivienne pressed her lips together and didn't go in.

Yes, why should Cecily have to heal all her wounds just because of a few casual words of comfort?

What right did they have to tell her not to be sad? Wasn't all her pain caused by them?

Vivienne lowered her head and closed her eyes deeply.

"Aunt Vivienne, don't cry. Isn't this what you wanted to see?" Blaise leaned against the wall, his cold gaze falling on Vivienne.

Vivienne was stunned.

Blaise extinguished his cigarette and slowly spoke, "Years ago, you left and abandoned her at the Watson family. You didn't tell her, and suddenly, Cecily, a teenage girl was without her mother."

"You could have sent her to the Bennett family, but you were afraid Bryan would suspect something. So you left her at Silver Frost Capital, at the Watson family, making everyone believe she was really Raphael's daughter, so Bryan wouldn't suspect anything."

"Bryan wanted a child, but you didn't tell him. You knew how to make Bryan suffer. In your feud, Cecily was always the sacrifice. She never had a choice. Even when she found out about her biological father, she had to consider your feelings, whether you were happy or not. If you weren't happy, she couldn't say anything, couldn't acknowledge him."

"Now, her child is gone, killed by her biological father, Bryan. How ironic."

"When Bryan finds out Cecily is his daughter, his pain and despair will be what you wanted, right?"

"So don't cry. After everything that's happened, your goal of making Bryan suffer has been achieved, hasn't it?"

The goal was achieved, but it only ruined Cecily. Cecily wasn't that important, so what was there to cry about?

Blaise said a lot in one breath. He didn't care if his words hurt Vivienne. At this point, what couldn't be said?

If he didn't say it, it would fester inside him, making him feel worse.

"Cecily once told me on her birthday that Raphael didn't love her. She asked you why, and you said Raphael just didn't like kids.

Cecily frequently visited the amusement park by herself, fully aware that Raphael didn't love her and that you were preoccupied. Consequently, she had no choice but to go alone.

But she saw Raphael at the amusement park once. He was holding another little girl, who was very pretty and happy in Raphael's arms. Cecily said Raphael didn't dislike kids; he just didn't like her.

That little girl was Elysia.

And who would Bryan be holding? Freya, probably.

Raphael didn't give Cecily fatherly love because she wasn't his biological daughter. Bryan didn't give Cecily fatherly love because you didn't tell him.

Six-year-old Cecily envied other kids, and thirty-year-old Cecily still envies others." Blaise said to Vivienne.
