Chapter 320 Cecily's Rescue Plan
Blaise answered the phone, his deep voice saying, “You actually called me. What's the matter?”
“Are you in Silver Frost Capital?”
“No, do you need something?”
“Yes, I need something. Do you have Elder's contact information?”
Blaise's voice sounded a bit more tense, “Are you sick?”
Cecily glanced at Vincent, “It's not me. A friend of mine has been poisoned with a chronic toxin. Elder is good at detoxification, so I want to ask him if there's a way to detoxify it.”
“Okay, I got it. I'll bring someone to find you.”
“No need, just give me Elder's address, and I'll come over.”
“Don't you think that's too time-consuming? Just wait.”
After saying that, Blaise hung up the phone, not giving Cecily a chance to say another word.
Cecily put away her phone. With cars coming and going in front of her, she hailed a cab, planning to take Vincent back first.
Seeing that Vincent still had some blood on his face, she handed him a wet wipe.
“You still have some blood on your face. Wipe it off. I've found a highly respected elder who is good at detoxification. He should be here by tomorrow morning.”
Vincent lowered his brows, “Okay.”
“Next time, don't hide anything. It's good to have one more person to help you think of a solution.”
Vincent wiped his face and looked down at her, “Thank you.”
Cecily looked at him strangely, “It's no trouble. You always call me sister. How can I not care about you?”
Vincent's eyes were open, his shoulders and back somewhat stiff, “But I'm just your bodyguard.”
He only knew that he was ordered to protect her, no different from a bodyguard.
Cecily was still waiting for the car. She propped up her arm and pondered for a moment, “What should I do then? I really think of you as my brother.”
Vincent smiled.
Cecily looked at him and noticed that his eyes always carried a hint of coldness, but when he smiled, they lit up.
He smiled and said, “If only I could stay with you forever.”
Cecily thought he was being pessimistic because of the poison, “Don't overthink it. You'll be fine. You'll regain your memory and find your family.”
But Vincent was thinking My mission is to protect you.
“Wipe again, there's still some blood on the right corner of your mouth.”
Vincent obediently wiped his face again.
He managed to perfectly avoid that drop of blood, which Cecily found impressive. Helplessly, she pulled out another wet wipe, “Here, you're just like Griffin, so careless.”
Darian came out to find Cecily and saw this scene. She handed out a piece of paper, her gentle smile tinged with helplessness, while the man in front of her looked at her with light in his eyes.
Darian's brows furrowed slightly.
“Cecily.” He called out to her.
Looking at Darian striding toward her, Cecily paused slightly, “Why did you come out?”
“Aren't you in a hurry to go back?”
“I am, but you should stay a bit longer. I've called a cab, and I'll go back with Vincent first.”
Cecily didn't want Darian to leave early because of her and ruin their fun.
Darian's brows furrowed deeper. She kept mentioning Vincent now.
Seeing Darian's sour expression, Cecily blinked and asked, “What's wrong with you?”
“Nothing, let's go. I've already asked Larkin to bring the car over.”
Hearing him say this, Cecily didn't say anything more.
At this moment, Eliza looked at the clock and smiled. The poison in Vincent's body would torment him once a day, and the time should be about now. He wouldn't last much longer.
“Someone.”
She said coldly, “Go tell Vincent that if he wants to live, he should bring Cecily to me. Otherwise, let him wait for death.”
They said those who came from Vivienne's side were loyal. She wanted to see, in the face of life and death, whether his life was more important or someone else's.
