Chapter 242 Seeking Help from Darian

Eliza was caught off guard and got drenched in gasoline. She panicked while the madwoman in front of her already took out a lighter.

Ophelia also got gasoline on herself. By doing this, she was undoubtedly going to die alongside Eliza.

This lunatic!

Cecily had just finished dinner with her two children and looked out the window. Raindrops were falling continuously, it was a light rain for now, but it would soon turn into heavy rain.

Cecily had planned to finish eating early so she could send the children back to Fitzgerald's Family before it rained. But Sandra said she was on her way, and Cecily didn't want to say anything more.

But at this time, she should have arrived.

They would have to brave the heavy rain on their way back if she didn't arrive soon.

Cecily took out her phone and called Sandra.

The phone rang eight or nine times, but no one answered.

What's going on?

Cecily dialed again.

Still, no one answered.

This was strange.

Cecily also dialed the phone in the security booth downstairs. She had greeted the security downstairs so Sandra's car could directly come in.

The security downstairs said the car had entered more than ten minutes ago.

Cecily hesitated for a moment, "Rowan, Griffin, and Mommy will go out to find your grandma. You stay inside the house. If anyone knocks on the door, absolutely don't open it, understand?"

The two children nodded, "Okay."

Cecily grabbed her coat, closed the door, and walked out. She looked around and saw that Darian had arranged bodyguards on this floor. They were hiding in the shadows, ready to protect the children. Cecily knew they would take good care of them, so she felt at ease and went downstairs.

When the elevator reached the ground floor, Cecily walked out of the building and saw Fitzgerald's Family's car parked there. Sandra's servant was standing next to it, but Sandra was nowhere to be seen.

Cecily walked over and asked, "Where is Mrs. Watson?"

Upon seeing Cecily, the servant said, " Mrs. Watson just ran into Ophelia. Ophelia wanted to have a private conversation with Mrs. Watson and asked us not to follow."

Cecily immediately frowned and asked, "Ophelia is here! How long ago did they leave?"

"About ten minutes ago," the servant replied.

Cecily looked around and asked, "Did they mention where they were going to talk? I just called Mrs. Sandra, but no one answered. I'm afraid it might be dangerous for Mrs. Sandra to be alone with Ophelia."

Upon hearing Cecily's words, the servant looked around but couldn't see Sandra anywhere. She started to panic.

"They just said they were going to the garden for a while. But now they're nowhere to be found. What should we do? Where could Ophelia have taken Mrs. Watson?"

Cecily furrowed her brows deeply. Ophelia came here with a purpose, and that purpose must be her. She wasn't sure what Ophelia would do if she took Sandra away.

"How many people came with you?" Cecily asked calmly.

"It's me, two bodyguards, and a driver," the servant answered.

Cecily nodded. "Split up and search. I'll go check the surveillance footage and talk to the property security."

The servant didn't dare to waste any time and replied, "Okay."

Cecily quickly ran toward the security booth.

Meanwhile, in a dark corner.

Eliza's eyes turned ruthless. She swiftly kicked the lighter out of Ophelia's hand. As the lighter ignited, sparks flew in the air. Eliza immediately removed her gasoline-soaked shirt and grabbed Ophelia by the neck.

"You fool," Eliza said, choking Ophelia. Ophelia's hands continuously struggled against Eliza's grip as she forcibly shouted, "Cecily, you bitch! I'm going to kill you. I absolutely will."

Eliza narrowed her dangerous eyes.

She had truly gone mad to place her hopes on this imbecile.

Without waiting for Ophelia to finish speaking, Eliza forcefully pulled her up and slammed her head against the nearby wall.

The intense pain instantly rendered Ophelia immobile. Her eyelids drooped weakly as she mustered whatever strength she had left to look at Cecily in front of her.

Cecily didn't lay a hand on her again.

Eliza walked step by step toward Sandra, who was lying on the ground.

Sandra wasn't seriously injured, and Ophelia still had some sanity left. She knew that if she killed Sandra, Fitzgerald's Family would not let her off the hook, so she didn't attack her further.

Sandra was afraid that Ophelia would go crazy and continuously hit her with stones, so she pretended to be unconscious for self-protection.

Hearing Ophelia shouting Cecily's name, Sandra thought that Cecily had arrived. She propped herself up with her hands and moved slightly.

Eliza leaned down and gave Sandra a helping hand.

Sandra, still shaken, touched the sore spot on the back of her head that had been hit and looked at "Cecily" with relief, saying, "Cecily, I'm glad you're here. Are you all right?"

Eliza smiled faintly, pursing her lips. "I'm fine, but you might have a little trouble."

"What do you mean?" Sandra was a bit confused.

"Exactly what I said!" Eliza replied.

Her body shuddered before Sandra could understand the situation, and she slowly lowered her head. She saw a knife plunging into her abdomen, and the sharp pain instantly spread throughout her body.

She raised her head and looked at Cecily in front of her, her face filled with not only pain but also confusion. "Why? Why would Cecily do this?"

"Mrs. Sandra, you were nearly the cause of my child's death. Shouldn't I seek revenge for my child?" Eliza spoke to Sandra with the tone and address Cecily usually used.

With her body stiffening, Sandra trembled more and more due to the pain, her eyes filled with both anguish and regret. "I misjudged you. I misjudged you."

Eliza laughed lightly. "You deserve it."

She pushed Sandra's body down to the ground, coldly watching as her plan unfolded. In her heart, she silently thought, "For the sake of my plan, you must sacrifice."

Eliza crouched down, wiping off her fingerprints from the knife. She glanced around, realizing that there were no surveillance cameras in this area. She looked at Ophelia, who hadn't fainted completely but had witnessed everything, feeling relieved.

Eliza smirked and delivered another blow to Ophelia, causing her to faint completely.

Cecily checked the surveillance footage and saw Ophelia pushing Sandra toward the buildings behind. She immediately called the security guard to search for them together.

However, that area had no residents, and there was no surveillance installed yet, so finding them wasn't easy.

In order to find them quickly, they had to split up and search. Cecily wasted no time, as the way Ophelia appeared in the surveillance video seemed suspicious. Sandra might be in extreme danger at the moment.

Cecily walked while talking to Darian on the phone.

Soon, a low and deep voice of a man came from the other end, "Hello."

"Darian, please send someone to my location quickly."

"Help, help!" Cecily's voice paused slightly, the plea for help sounding exceptionally clear in the quiet surroundings.

Cecily tightened her grip on her cell phone, her breath slowing down.

Shining her flashlight toward the darkness, she saw a glimpse of a wheelchair.

Cecily's heart skipped a beat.

"What's going on? What happened?"

Cecily's face turned stiff. Just as she was about to walk inside, she halted her steps and observed her surroundings.

Ophelia came here with the intention of targeting her. She even injured Sandra. Ophelia must have a desperate mindset, which means she might still be around here.

Darian's anxious voice continued to come through, "Cecily, speak, what's happening?"

Cecily took a deep breath. "Darian, listen, Ophelia took your mother away. Your mother is injured on my side of the house. Please send more people over here, quickly."

"Help!"

Cecily gritted her teeth as she listened to Sandra's weak voice. Sandra must be critically injured. Time was running out, and if the others didn't arrive soon, Sandra might not make it.

Cecily couldn't wait and said to the person on the other end of the phone, "Don't hang up."

Then she put the phone, still connected, into her pocket and walked into the darkness.
