Chapter 332 Joint Effort to Save Cecily
Desmond furrowed his brows. Last night, he had already told Vivienne everything that had happened recently. She must have her reasons for pretending to be unaware now. Desmond stood silently to the side.
"Two of you? What's going on?" Vivienne's expression turned cold as she looked at Desmond indifferently. "Desmond, is all of this true?"
Desmond quickly stepped forward, "It's true."
Vivienne's expression grew even colder, "So, you really did drive my daughter out of the Bennett family?"
Desmond tried to defend himself, "Master, that's because..."
"Enough, don't make excuses. I don't want to hear them. I kept you in the Bennett family to manage it well, not to drive my daughter out."
"No, Master, this matter is..." The other two elders wanted to speak up for Desmond.
Desmond immediately lowered his head and said, "Yes, Master, it's my fault. I failed to recognize Miss at first sight."
Vivienne glanced at Eliza standing to the side, raised her delicate eyebrows slightly, picked up a cup of coffee, and took a light sip. She said indifferently, "Cecily since he has offended you, you have decided how to deal with him."
Eliza quickly looked at Vivienne, "Mom, do I really have this authority?"
"You are the Miss of the Bennett family. Of course, you do."
A hint of joy flashed in Eliza's eyes, quickly covered up, and she hesitantly asked, "Mom, everyone else doubts my identity because of another me. Don't you doubt it?"
Vivienne pursed her lips and shook her head, "You are my daughter. How could I mistake my own daughter? Besides, you have the Crystal Pendant I left behind, which proves you are my daughter."
Seeing the loving expression in Vivienne's eyes, Eliza's smile deepened. Even she hadn't expected Vivienne not to doubt her.
Eliza looked at Desmond. Next, she had to deal with him. He knew too much, was too loyal, and paid great attention to details. She had to get rid of him before he could report everything to Vivienne.
Desmond lowered his head, "Miss..."
Eliza raised her chin, "Desmond, do you remember what you said when you drove me out of the Bennett family? You said that you would leave the Bennett family yourself if your decision was wrong."
"This..."
"What?" Eliza looked at Desmond, "Didn't you mean it? Mom..."
"You decide," Vivienne hid her mocking emotions in her eyes and said with a smile.
"Desmond, did you hear that? You are no longer a manager of the Bennett family. Please leave immediately."
Desmond tugged at his lips. He was so old and still had to act with his master; it was too much for him.
He looked at Eliza with a sad face nodded helplessly, "I know I made a big mistake and can't stay in the Bennett family anymore. I'll leave now. Master, please take care..."
Desmond turned and left, looking somewhat desolate.
A hint of satisfaction flashed in Eliza's eyes.
Vivienne quietly watched her, not missing the emotional fluctuations in her eyes.
Eliza turned to Vivienne, "Mom, I was driven out of the Bennett family by Desmond due to some misunderstandings. Now that you're back, I can finally move back."
"Where are your things? I'll send someone to help you move."
"No need, Mom. I can handle it myself. You must be tired from just coming back. Do you want to rest in your room?"
Vivienne raised her hand to rub her temples, "I am indeed tired. I'll go upstairs first. You handle things."
"Don't worry, Mom."
Vivienne got up and went upstairs.
A dark, sinister look flashed in Eliza's eyes.
It seemed that Vivienne wasn't that hard to deal with.
Eliza breathed a sigh of relief. She had passed this hurdle and driven Desmond away, but she couldn't let her guard down. Her current identity had too many loopholes. If Vivienne asked, it would be hard to hide.
Especially since she and Raphael had done a DNA test, others didn't know, but Vivienne knew that the real Cecily wasn't Raphael's biological daughter.
Fortunately, no one had brought this up yet, so she had to resolve everything before Vivienne became suspicious.
She picked up her phone and called Matthias. He answered immediately, "Have you found them?"
"Sorry, Miss, we haven't found them yet. We don't know where they are hiding."
Eliza gritted her teeth, "Keep looking. I've temporarily stabilized things here. Don't delay my plan."
"Understood, Miss. As long as they are on this mountain, they can't escape."
Eliza responded and hung up. Thinking about the video still in Darian's hands made her uneasy.
That video was a ticking time bomb, making her very anxious.
Eliza thought of Owen and called him directly.
Owen was feeling annoyed at the moment. When he answered the call, he said impatiently, "What do you want now?"
"Grandpa, this is good news. Vivienne is back."
"Really?" Owen immediately perked up on the other end of the line.
"Absolutely, Grandpa. Don't worry. I will avenge Father. But I have a handle in Darian's hands. You have to help me." Eliza explained the whole situation to Owen.
"Grandpa, if that video gets out, I'll be kicked out of the Bennett family. My plan will fail, and I won't be able to make Vivienne pay. Please help me destroy that video."
Owen frowned, "Who has the video?"
"I don't know, but according to Cecily, it's on a computer in the Fitzgerald family or maybe in Darian's hands."
After a moment of silence, Owen said, "Got it."
Owen's response meant he agreed to help. Eliza looked at her phone and smiled.
Vivienne returned to her room and immediately called Desmond.
She was anxious. Downstairs, Desmond had told her that the other Cecily was missing and that the person who kidnapped her was the woman downstairs. This meant her daughter was in that woman's hands.
Desmond answered the call, "Master."
Vivienne asked, "Who told you this news?"
"It was Miss Cecily's ex-husband, Mr. Fitzgerald. He said she was taken by Eliza yesterday. Oh, and the Eliza he mentioned is the woman you just met."
"His last name is Fitzgerald? That woman is also named Fitzgerald?" Vivienne was stunned. "Is it the Fitzgerald family of Silver Frost Capital?"
"Yes."
"Is his name Darian?"
"Yes, do you know him?"
Vivienne felt a bit shocked. Darian! Eliza! Patrick's son and adopted daughter. How could she not know them?
She just hadn't expected her daughter to marry Darian.
After a moment of contemplation, her eyes filled with complex emotions.
"Master?"
"I understand. Contact Darian for me. I need to meet him. Also, I agreed to let you leave the Bennett family to make that woman who had plastic surgery to look like Cecily lower her guard. Since Cecily is under her control, I can't confront her directly. We need to plan carefully."
"I understand. I'll contact Mr. Fitzgerald now."
Half an hour later, at a café.
The door opened, and Vivienne sat in a chair, looking up at the tall, handsome man in front of her.
It was Darian.
Vivienne quietly looked at him for a few seconds and gestured with her hand, "Sit."
Darian frowned at the woman in front of him. At first, he was puzzled, but then he understood.
This must be Cecily's mother.
A faint emotion flashed in Darian's eyes. He walked over and sat opposite Vivienne, "You are Cecily's mother."
Seeing that he had no doubt about her identity, Vivienne didn't introduce herself further. Nothing was more important than her daughter now.
"Yes, we can talk about everything else later. The fake Cecily is now in the Bennett family. Tell me what you know about Cecily's disappearance."
Darian didn't waste time, either. Nothing was more important than finding Cecily now.
Darian told Vivienne everything.
"So, according to you, we can't find Cecily's location. Only Eliza knows where she is, and you have a video that makes her hesitate to harm Cecily." Vivienne's voice was cold and clear.
"Yes."
Vivienne felt relieved. Fortunately, she hadn't confronted Eliza directly. Eliza's goal was to become Ms. Bennett. She would never reveal Cecily's whereabouts if that hope was shattered and she was captured.
"She's in the Bennett family now. Don't let her become suspicious. Cecily is still in her hands. If you make her lose control, she might have her bodyguards harm Cecily. We must prioritize Cecily's safety."
Darian nodded, "I understand."
"I will try to find out Cecily's whereabouts from her."
"I'll wait for your news." Darian stood up, ready to leave. After a few steps, he stopped and looked back at Vivienne.
Vivienne also looked up calmly, "Is there anything else?"
"Do you know my father, Patrick?" His voice carried a hint of coldness.
Vivienne's eyes trembled slightly, "Yes."
Darian looked at her, "Thirteen years ago, my father died in a car accident. It seems you had something to do with it?"
Vivienne looked at the cold Darian before her, her lips moving slightly, "I'm sorry about your father."
Seeing her admission, Darian's expression turned grim, "So, what my grandfather said is true."
Vivienne lowered her eyes, "It's all my fault, but it has nothing to do with Cecily. I know your relationship with Cecily, you..."
"If it weren't for Cecily, I wouldn't be talking to you."
Darian strode away.
Vivienne pressed her lips together, watching his distant figure.
She thought Cecily must have suffered a lot in the Fitzgerald family over the years.
