Chapter 251 Three Years of Marriage, He Had Never Noticed This Secret

"What are you doing?" Cecily immediately blushed.

She wasn't wearing anything under the bathrobe and felt dangerous and embarrassed.

Darian carried her to the bed and gently placed her down, making Cecily's heart pound heavily.

Darian looked at her expression and knew that she thought he was a rogue.

Since he was already being seen as a rogue, he might as well just admit it.

After setting her down, Darian didn't immediately leave. Instead, he leaned forward and enveloped her in his arms.

Cecily felt a bit disheveled and nervous.

"I just wanted to play around a bit," Darian said.

Cecily widened her eyes, never having heard someone speak so openly about playing around.

She raised her hand, wanting to give him a punch, but her wrist was effortlessly grasped and pressed down on the bed. Darian leaned over her.

Cecily's fingers tightened.

She definitely needs to practice martial arts in the future, striving to be able to overpower Darian so he wouldn't always bully her without any means to fight back.

When she became stronger than him, she would make him regret it in situations like this.

The force of the man pressing down on her made Cecily's breathing heavier.

Darian calmly admired the blush on Cecily's face as he leaned down and kissed her tender neck.

This time, Cecily didn't struggle like before; instead, she remained motionless, as if truly accepting his actions.

When he lifted his head, he realized Cecily's beautiful and lively eyes were staring at him. In reality, she was thinking about how to make him feel uncomfortable.

Darian found it amusing. "What are you thinking? Why aren't you resisting?"

"Besides slobbering all over me, you can't do anything else," Cecily replied.

Hearing this, Darian froze slightly, raised an eyebrow, and looked at her with his black eyes. "Do you need me to show you that I can do something else?"

Cecily exerted force to sit up and adjusted to a more comfortable position while arching an eyebrow at him. "I'm on my period."

"Really?"

"Why would I lie to you?"

Darian's eyes gleamed briefly. "Let me check."

By the time Cecily reacted to his words, his hand had already slipped inside her robe.

Cecily panicked and pressed down on his hand, tightly closing her legs. Her cheeks were burning. "Darian, you shameless person."

Darian's sexy Adam's apple bobbed up and down. "You're so nervous, so were you lying to me?"

Cecily was too embarrassed to speak. She avoided his gaze with her eyes, knowing she had indeed lied to him. Who knew he would say something like 'Let me check'?

It was simply absurd.

Initially, Darian really didn't have any intentions and noticed that she was walking barefoot on the floor. He was afraid she would catch a cold. So he wanted to carry her to the bed, but when he saw her guard, he wanted to tease her a bit. Now, things had gotten out of hand.

She was just too tempting!

He hadn't planned on doing anything, but now he didn't want to let her go.

He lowered his head and passionately kissed her soft lips. His tongue forcefully entered her mouth and toyed with hers, entwining and lingering.

Between the entangled lips, it felt as if they had forgotten to breathe.

Darian saw the perplexed expression on Cecily's face as her bathrobe opened up like a gift box, revealing her smooth skin in its entirety. When she spoke, Darian looked up and noticed her slightly swollen, enticing red lips. His voice became deep and filled with desire as he breathed onto her cheek, "Cecily, you're irresistible."

Cecily glanced down at her open bathrobe and exposed body, pinned down tightly onto the bed with his strong chest in front of her. She wanted to retreat but couldn't budge an inch. Their ragged breaths intertwined as Darian's large hand landed on her lower back and unintentionally brushed against her scar. Blinking her disheveled eyes, Cecily quickly grabbed Darian's hand. "Don't touch that."

Darian could clearly sense her resistance and stopped, gazing at her intently. "When did you get this scar? You've never mentioned it before."

He had been meaning to ask this question ever since he first saw it. The low voice resonated in front of her, causing Cecily's expression to stiffen momentarily. It was as if her rationality had been abruptly pulled back by something. She didn't say anything, just pulling her robe back and pushing Darian away as she sat up.

Darian was puzzled by Cecily's sudden change in demeanor. As she tried to get off the bed, he wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her back into his embrace. He didn't teasingly play around with her this time but instead had a more serious expression on his face. "You don't want to talk about it?"

"After three years of marriage, with this scar of mine, you never noticed?" Cecily's once warm expression turned cold, catching Darian off guard.

Cecily let out a soft laugh and nodded. "That's right."

During their three years of marriage, the number of times they had been intimate could be counted on one hand. Those few times, he always acted swiftly, without any foreplay or unnecessary romance. It was like a routine, never noticing anything else.

It took him eight years to discover the scar on her back.

He asked her how she got it.

Cecily bitterly smiled.

She got it for him.

Originally, it wasn't anything significant, and Cecily never intended to use it to hold Darian accountable or make him feel guilty. For so many years, she never mentioned it, and now that he asked, she didn't know how to bring it up.

Cecily smiled and leaned closer to him. "Guess."

Darian's blue eyes squinted, giving Cecily an opportunity to escape from his embrace. She hopped off the bed from the other side and neatly tied her belt around her waist.

From a distance, she looked at Darian, and her gaze slowly moved down, landing on a certain area before blushing and looking away. "Go to the bathroom and take care of your physical needs yourself."

Darian wasn't in the mood to think about these things. His mind was filled with Cecily's sudden change in demeanor and the words, "We've been married for three years, haven't you noticed?"

Three years of marriage.

He seemed to have never noticed.

Or perhaps it was more accurate to say that he had never paid attention.

Just out of the passionate whirlwind, Darian felt uncomfortable in a certain area. He turned and walked into the bathroom, taking a cold shower.

Cecily, who had already calmed down, glanced toward the direction of the bathroom. Only someone with a strong body like Darian could withstand a cold shower in such weather.

Cecily felt chilly just thinking about it.

She thought about the injury on his arm.

Cecily couldn't bear to see him neglect it. If it got infected, after all, it was an injury he sustained while saving her.

Cecily called the front desk from the landline and asked the manager for some medicine to clean the wound.

At this moment, there was a light knock on the door. Cecily glanced at her bathrobe, tightened it, and then went to open the door.

Larkin stood at the door, hesitating for a long time before knocking, afraid of interrupting his boss's private affairs.

Cecily opened the door. "Skye."

"Cecily."

Larkin handed Cecily a bag of clothes and said, "There aren't many shops around here. These are the clothes I asked Kiera to buy. Please bear with them for now. And these are clothes prepared for Boss."

Cecily took the clothes. Larkin was truly worthy of being Darian's personal assistant. He always considered everything.

"Thank you."

Larkin nodded slightly. "You're welcome, Cecily."

The boss happened to be upstairs carrying a medical kit. When he saw Larkin, he naturally greeted him, "Hey, big brother."

Larkin didn't know what to say.

"Big brother?" Cecily was surprised to hear that. She looked at Larkin with a questioning expression.

The boss handed Cecily the medicine box she needed, and Larkin quickly pulled him away. "I told you not to call me big brother."

"I know, you mobsters tend to keep a low profile."

Larkin was even more at a loss for words.

Cecily watched Larkin pulling the boss and whispering, almost bursting out laughing. She took the things, closed the door, took out her clothes, looked at Darian's clothes, and left them for him outside the bathroom door. She hesitated for a moment and said, "Darian, I put clean clothes for you outside."

But there was no response from inside, only the sound of water.

Cecily paused and lightly knocked on the door, "Darian, did you hear that?"

The bathroom door suddenly swung open, and Cecily was caught off guard as she was pulled inside by a tight grip on her hand.

Darian lowered his head, his forehead soaked with wet hair dripping water from the ends. Cecily placed her hand on his tense muscles and widened her eyes.
