Chapter 524 Watch Him Regret and Cry

"Cecily, for the past thirty years, I take responsibility for everything that has happened. If I had told him earlier, he might not have made you as a bargaining chip."

Vivienne's eyes reddened, "It was my selfishness that caused you so much pain. Now it's time for Bryan to know everything."

Cecily pressed her lips and replied, "Mom, it's not your fault, and I don't expect anything anymore. Whether he knows or not doesn't matter to me."

Vivienne looked into Cecily's indifferent eyes. She parted her lips but couldn't make a sound.

She didn't know what Cecily was feeling; she only felt a bitter ache in her heart.

Neither she nor Bryan deserved to be parents.

Cecily sat up straight and patted Vivienne on the back. Aurelie also came over with a worried look to comfort her.

"Mom, don't be sad. It is what it is. No use crying over spilled milk. I've already faced it calmly, and you don't need to blame yourself anymore. After all, who could have known that the person who kidnapped me would be Bryan!"

The most ridiculous part of this whole thing was that they had been so wary of Josep, yet it was Bryan, whom they had no guard against, who made a move on Cecily.

Vivienne tightly held Cecily's hand, an indescribable pain lingering in Vivienne's heart.

Aurelie quickly wiped Vivienne's tears. "Aunt Vivienne, don't cry. It's not worth crying over a lousy man. He should know what he's done. We'll see him regret it and cry."

After composing herself, Vivienne put the paternity test report into her bag and stood up. "Aurelie, please take care of Cecily for a while. I'll be back soon."

Seeing Vivienne about to leave, presumably to find Bryan, Cecily spoke up, "Mom, Bryan isn't at the hospital now. He already took Freya home during the day. Maybe you could go tomorrow."

Vivienne wiped the tears from her face, her eyes flashing with coldness.

He really couldn't let go of Freya.

"Alright."

Sooner or later, she would personally give Bryan this paternity test.

Bryan said Vivienne was lying to him. She wanted to see his expression when he saw this paternity test.

"Aurelie, you should go home now. I'll stay here with Cecily. You're pregnant. Go home and have some reast."

Aurelie agreed. Since she got pregnant, she had been feeling increasingly sleepy and was already very tired.

As soon as Aurelie walked out of the hospital, she saw a familiar figure.

Was that Nathaniel?

The surrounding lights were dim, and Nathaniel stood with his back to her. She was a bit unsure.

Nathaniel seemed to sense something, and he turned around and waved at her. "Come here." His low, casual voice carried an undeniable authority.

However, Aurelie stood still.

His words to Lillian at the hospital that day echoed in her ears.

She would never forget those words for the rest of her life.

Seeing Aurelie not moving, Nathaniel wasn't angry. His expression remained indifferent as he approached her.

Aurelie felt a heaviness in her heart. "What do you want?" she asked.

"I'm here to pick you up. Come with me."

He naturally grabbed her hand, trying to pull her into the car. Aurelie shook off his hand without hesitation.

"Go where?"

"I found you a place to stay. You already had an accident at Cecily's place and almost lost the baby. Do you still want to stay there?"

Aurelie frowned. "That was my carelessness. It hadnothing to do with where I live. Besides, didn't you not want this baby before?"

Nathaniel put her in his place and had people watch her, ensuring she couldn't escape, and then he would take her baby after she gave birth, right?

Aurelie suddenly laughed. "Nathaniel, you can't be so cruel. I'll never let you take my baby! I will protect this baby even if it kills me."

Nathaniel looked at Aurelie, who became emotional, feeling inexplicably baffled. He was just finding her a new place to stay; why did she suddenly get so angry?

"What's wrong with you?"

"What's wrong with me? Did I say anything wrong? Nathaniel, tell me, you initially wanted me to abort the baby, but then you agreed to let me keep it. Why?"

Despite having heard those words before, she still felt suffocated and stubbornly wanted to hear his answer.

"Isn't it you who wants to have a baby? Aborting the baby was like taking your life. Would my disagreement have mattered?"

Aurelie suddenly found Nathaniel laughable. He didn't even dare to admit his intentions.

She owed Nathaniel. If it weren't for her, he wouldn't have gone to prison for ten years for manslaughter. She could spend her life repaying him.

But the baby was hers. She wouldn't allow anyone to take it away. What she owed shouldn't be repaid with the baby.

"What madness are you on today?" Nathaniel looked at Aurelie with impatient eyes.

"You have told Lillian that she like kids, just wait until I gives birth and then take the baby to raise. It is too hard to give birth to a child. How could you bear to see Lillian suffer so much?"

Nathaniel was slightly stunned.

Aurelie laughed at herself. "Are you familiar, isn't it? It's my child. What right do you have to give him to Lillian?"

Aurelie had been holding these words in for days, and her heart was filled with uncontrollable anger.

Nathaniel looked at her coldly. "Did you hear it all? Good then. I don't need to inform you again."

Aurelie's face instantly turned ashen, devoid of any color. "Inform? "

Aurelie was so angry she felt she might suffocate.

Nathaniel looked at the pained expression on Aurelie's face, his heart tightening. He reached out, holding a piece of paper. "Check it out."

"What is it? Are you trying to force me to sign some agreement?"

"This is an IOU from your dad," Nathaniel said flatly.

Aurelie's eyes fell on the paper, and she snatched it.

A $16 million IOU! Signed by her dad, Joshua Miller.

"He borrowed money from you?" Aurelie asked, her eyes were full of disbelief.

"Not just that. He said he couldn't repay it, but he could use everything his daughter has to repay. It's written on the IOU. " Nathaniel raised an eyebrow, his gaze mocking.

Aurelie couldn't believe what she was seeing.

She knew Joshua had gambling addiction. Over the years, she had paid off many of his debts, but she never thought he would use his daughter to settle a debt.

Aurelie bit her lip, holding back her tears.

"See it clearly? You belong to me now."

Nathaniel directly pulled Aurelie to his side, wrapped his arm around her waist, and pushed her into the car. He then got in himself and ordered the driver to start the car.

"Stop! Let me out!"

Nathaniel glanced at her and leaned over.Thinking he was going to do something, Aurelie shrank back, pressing tightly against the seat.

The car door wasn't locked. He pushed it open, and the cold wind rushed in, messing up Aurelie's hair.

"Jump out, and I'll let you go."

Nathaniel looked at Aurelie with a playful expression.

At this speed, jumping out would either kill her or get her run over by the cars behind.

Aurelie forcefully closed the car door.

"Not leaving?" Nathaniel lifted an eyebrow.

Aurelie pulled at the corner of her mouth, not looking at him. Her eyes remained teary, and her nose was red, looking like she had been bullied badly, which made her look somewhat cute in her defiance.

Nathaniel turned his head and smirked.

She was forcibly taken to a duplex apartment. The decor was similar to her home but much larger.

The place was cozy, with various flowers and plants meticulously arranged.

She remembered telling Nathaniel that she wanted a cozy home of her own, with a loved one by her side, a couple of cute kids, and a dog, and to plant flowers and plants in her free time.

She had told him her preferences. Did he remember them all?

Thinking about it, Aurelie dismissed the possibility. He didn't love her, so why would he remember her preferences?

"From today on, you'll live here."

Aurelie said, "You've gone to such lengths for the child in my belly. Wouldn't Lillian be furious if she knew?"

Nathaniel sneered," since you like her so much, I can call her over. The three of us can share a bed. I don't think it'll be too crowded."

"Sure, go ahead and call your fiancée over to see." Aurelie looked at Nathaniel defiantly.

Nathaniel didn't expect Aurelie to be so confrontational.

Aurelie took advantage of his distraction and rushed towards the door. Nathaniel noticed, stretched out his long leg, and kicked a chair over, bending down to sit at the door,"If you want to leave,go out that way."

Aurelie followed his gaze.

The window?

Aurelie was so angry she wanted to hit someone, but she suppressed her anger. She had to find a way to escape, but with him guarding her today, she'd have to find another opportunity.

The next day, Vivienne went to Bryan's villa. Bryan's people didn't dare stop her.

Vivienne walked straight in. She could feel her body getting worse by the day. The medication seemed to no longer be able to stop the pain.

She had been holding herself together, trying not to show any weakness.

"Dad, come here to see."

Freya, who was coming downstairs, stopped abruptly when she saw Vivienne standing there.

Freya couldn't even speak properly. She quickly looked around Vivienne, checking if she had brought many people, if she was here to catch her.

Only after seeing that Vivienne was alone did she let out a sigh of relief.

Vivienne glanced at Freya. Freya was in pajamas, her wounds well bandaged, surrounded by professional doctors and servants taking care of her. She seemed to be doing well.

Vivienne's gaze passed over her and landed on a nearby servant as she asked, "Where's Bryan?"
