Chapter 646 Bryan and Cecily Kidnapped Desmond

Vivienne owed Cecily big time. She couldn't stand seeing Cecily sad again, but her body felt like it was falling apart, way beyond saving.

She reached out and grabbed the photo frame next to her, her fingers gently brushing over Cecily's cheek in the picture.

Cecily was hung up on. Hearing Vivienne's weird tone, her unease grew.

Holding her phone, she dialed another number. Vivienne didn't want her to know where she was, so Cecily decided to find out herself.

Ever since Vivienne left Silver Frost Capital, she'd been acting super strange. Cecily had to figure out what was going on.

Just as she finished the call, Cecily saw Bryan walk in. Last time she came to see Vivienne, this guy was all over her, but now he wasn't even around.

"Did Vivienne tell you where she went?" Cecily asked Bryan.

Bryan gave a helpless smile, "She didn't even tell you, so why would she tell me?"

He walked over and plopped down on the single sofa next to Cecily.

Cecily sneered, "Last time you were glued to Vivienne, and now you're MIA when it matters?"

"Cecily, Vivienne's always liked playing the game of cat and mouse with me." Bryan poured himself a cup of tea and sighed.

Their game of her running and him chasing had been going on for half their lives. If Vivienne wasn't tired of it, he sure wasn't.

He'd find her eventually.

Cecily frowned, "Even you can't find her."

Vivienne said she was going on vacation, but why would she hide it from everyone, even from her?

Although Vivienne explained it over the phone, Cecily didn't buy it. Something was definitely up.

"Actually, finding her is easy." Bryan took a sip of tea, coughed lightly, and when Cecily looked at him, he raised an eyebrow at Desmond, who was busy with his back to them.

Cecily turned around, stared at Desmond's back for a moment, then looked at Bryan's somewhat sly expression.

The two exchanged a glance, and soon enough, Desmond was tied up in a small room.

Cecily pulled up a chair and pressed Desmond into it. After all, Desmond was old, and it wouldn't be good to make him stand. Bryan went to lock the door. The room was dusty, with only a beam of light shining on Desmond's sweat-covered face.

Bryan and Cecily surrounded Desmond, their eyes filled with scrutiny and pressure.

Desmond's nervous eyes darted between the two.

Thinking about how old he was and still being kidnapped by these two, Desmond felt endless bitterness. He moved back a bit and asked, "Cecily, Bryan, have I offended you in some way?"

"Where did Vivienne go?" Cecily and Bryan stared intently at Desmond, not missing any of his facial expressions.

Desmond was one of the leaders of the Bennett family. Vivienne told and consulted everything with him, so he must know where Vivienne went.

He said, "Didn't Vivienne tell you she went on vacation? Don't you know?"

Cecily took a few steps forward, pretending to pick up a whip from the table, adopting a fierce interrogator's stance.

Cecily's demeanor was serious and imposing. It was her first time doing an interrogation, and she was quite convincing.

"Desmond, you know I've always respected you as an elder. I don't like using violence, so you better tell the truth. Where did Vivienne go? What is she hiding from us? Why is she always avoiding me?" As she spoke, Cecily mercilessly whipped the table beside her, which was quite intimidating.

Desmond was on the verge of tears. This job was getting harder and harder, "Cecily, please spare me. Vivienne really just went on vacation."

"Where did she go?" Cecily's tone grew more severe.

Desmond replied in a shaking voice, "This is Vivienne's private itinerary. She didn't tell me, and I have no right to ask. If you want to know, you'll have to ask Vivienne. Interrogating me is useless."

Cecily was silent for a moment, clearly not believing Desmond. Desmond was too loyal. He would tell Vivienne everything without reservation, but for her and Bryan, he wouldn't reveal a word if Vivienne had instructed him not to.

Cecily's expression darkened, "You see, your words clearly indicate you know where Vivienne is, but you're deliberately hiding it from us."

"Vivienne likes peace and quiet. She just doesn't want to be disturbed by Bryan." Desmond explained.

Every time it came to this, Bryan was always used as an excuse. Cecily had heard it so many times she didn't believe it anymore.

Not wanting to be disturbed by Bryan and telling her where Vivienne was were not mutually exclusive. She wouldn't tell Bryan anyway. Hiding it from her as well meant it was definitely more than just not wanting to be found by Bryan.
