Chapter 333 Saw Through Her Little Schemes

"Vivienne returned to the Bennett family, and Eliza came out to greet her, 'Mom, where did you go? I just went to look for you and couldn't find you.'"

Vivienne calmly withdrew her hand, which had been held. "I was bored staying at home, so I went for a walk. Did you need something?"

Eliza smiled sweetly at Vivienne, "Mom, you just got back, and I wanted to talk to you."

Vivienne responded with a smile, but she understood what Eliza was thinking. Eliza was afraid she might go out and meet someone or hear something that would make her suspicious, so she wanted to keep an eye on her at all times.

"I was thinking of meeting the person who was impersonating you, but I tried contacting them several times and couldn't reach them. It's really strange," Vivienne said calmly, appearing completely unconcerned.

Eliza's eyes shifted slightly, and she said, "Really? Then she must have known you were back and didn't dare to show up. She was impersonating me, and if she met you, her true identity would be exposed. Of course, she wouldn't dare to come."

Vivienne sat down on the sofa and smiled slightly, "I think so too."

Eliza eagerly went to pour water for Vivienne. In a place where no one could see, she sprinkled white powder into the water, which quickly dissolved.

"Mom, have some coffee."

Vivienne took the cup, "Okay."

Eliza's eyes flashed, and she sat down next to Vivienne, leaning in affectionately, "Mom, I have something I want to discuss with you."

"Go ahead."

"I was thinking, since you just got back, how about we throw a welcome party for you? What do you think?"

Vivienne raised an eyebrow slightly, "That's thoughtful of you, but I don't like crowds, and I find it troublesome. Let's skip the party."

"Mom, it's no trouble at all. I'll arrange everything for you. You just need to show up. You just got back, and I want to celebrate and show my filial piety."

Vivienne's gaze fell on her face, and she saw through her intentions at a glance. She said it was to prepare a welcome party, but when they appeared together, it would further cement her identity as Ms. Bennett in the eyes of outsiders.

"Since you insist, let's do it your way."

Vivienne's tone was calm, and Eliza found it strange, but then she remembered that Vivienne seemed indifferent to everyone, so she didn't think much of it.

Now that her plan had succeeded, she was in no mood to pay attention to those details.

"Great, Mom, I'll take care of everything for you."

Vivienne nodded with a smile.

"Mom, have some coffee. I made it especially for you. Try it."

"Okay," Vivienne nodded, picking up the coffee cup and bringing it to her lips.

Seeing this, Eliza's eyes brightened.

"Tastes good," Vivienne praised.

Eliza's smile deepened, "I'm glad you like it."

Just then, a phone rang—it was Eliza's phone.

Eliza's expression changed slightly. She glanced at Vivienne and stood up, "Mom, I have to go out for a bit."

"All right, take care."

Eliza responded with a cheerful smile, but her expression turned cold as soon as she turned away.

After Eliza left, Vivienne put down the cup and said expressionlessly, "Have someone take this cup of water for testing to see what's in it."

"Yes."

"And send someone to follow her. Report back to me who she meets and what she does."

There was a coldness in Vivienne's eyes.

A servant took the coffee cup away, and Bryan came in from outside. Seeing her sitting on the sofa looking unhappy, he raised an eyebrow slightly, "I let you see your daughter, and you're still not happy?"

Vivienne gave a perfunctory smile, "I'm happy."

"I can't tell."

"That's because you're blind. Don't you have work to do? Watching me all day, are you afraid I'll run away?"

Vivienne spoke impatiently, but Bryan had heard it so many times that he found it endearing.

"I wish you could be a bit gentler with me."

"Stop dreaming. If you want to be treated gently, you should go find Jennifer and her daughter, Freya, whom you support."

"I have nothing to do with them."

"You have nothing to do with them, but Freya keeps calling you Dad, and you happily respond every time," Vivienne sneered.

"You know I've always wanted a daughter."

"So when she calls you Dad, you can't wait to give her the best of everything."

Bryan's eyes darkened as if recalling the past, and his voice grew colder, "Yes, Freya's presence fills the void of not having a child. Vivienne, sometimes I think, if you hadn't run away and aborted my child, by now, I might have a child calling me Dad. Maybe I'd even have a grandchild by now."

Vivienne looked at him with a mocking smile, "Do you deserve it?" She pulled her hand out of his grasp, her face showing only indifference.

Owen's car stopped in front of Darian's villa. He arrived, and the servants in the villa certainly didn't dare to stop him.

It was originally a weekend, and Griffin and Rowan were at home. Darian had invited Hayden and Declan to accompany them.

Griffin and Rowan started playing during lunch and didn't want to eat.

Holding a bowl, Declan helplessly urged them to eat, "Please, just eat. Your dad told us to take good care of you. If he comes back and sees you two are starving, we'll be in trouble. Have some pity on your two uncles."
