Chapter 240 Ophelia Lands a Long-Term Treatment in the Mental Hospital

Darian looked at the disconnected phone and sighed deeply.

After a few minutes, he seemed to remember something and made another call. The other party answered quickly. "Boss."

"Send Ophelia to the mental hospital for proper treatment," Darian said in a low voice.

Larkin hesitated for a moment, understanding the meaning behind Darian's phrase "proper treatment."

"Also, warn Flore's Family. If they can't take care of their daughter properly, she might just disappear."

"Yes, Boss."

Flore's Family.

As Darian's men infiltrated Flore's Family, painful memories surged back to Ophelia.
"What are you doing?" Tabitha shouted, seeing Ophelia about to be dragged away, and they panicked.

"Larkin, what are you doing? Let go of Ophelia, do you hear me? I'm telling you to let her go!" Tabitha scolded, coming in out of nowhere to grab someone. Did they really think everyone from Flore's Family was extinct?

Ophelia was enveloped in fear, scared like a frightened bird. Her whole body tightened, with her face still covered in a face mask, which slipped off due to her intense movements and fell to the ground.

"Let me go! What are you doing? Have you all gone mad? Let go! Mom, save me!"

Tabitha hurriedly grabbed onto Ophelia, anxiously questioning, "Where are you taking Ophelia?"

"Don't worry, we won't harm Ophelia this time."

"Then where are you taking Ophelia?"

Larkin smirked, "We're just taking Ophelia to receive medical treatment."

"Treatment?"

Ophelia was being restrained by two people, kicking her legs desperately. She knew it was not really for treatment. They must be planning to punish her again.

"I'm not sick. I don't need treatment! Let go of me, let go of me! Can't you hear me? Let go! I don't want treatment, no! Help, Mom, save me! Help me, they are going to lock me up again, Mom, help! They want to kill me. They want to kill me. I won't go, I don't want to go."

Seeing Ophelia struggle, kicking her hands and legs, desperately shaking her head, Tabitha was startled and couldn't say a word, shrugging her shoulders.

Ophelia seemed really abnormal!

Larkin chuckled, "See, Ophelia is sick, very sick indeed. The mental hospital is ready for Ophelia to take her away. I believe she will receive excellent treatment there."

After finishing speaking, they were about to take Ophelia away.

Ophelia kept screaming, struggling, and was terrified to the extreme. With her wild appearance, claiming she was mentally ill, no one would doubt it.

Tabitha finally reacted and wanted to save Ophelia, but unexpectedly, Ophelia kicked her in the stomach in a fit of struggle.

Tabitha groaned in pain, clutching her abdomen, and fell onto the sofa, unable to stop wincing.

Ophelia didn't even notice, just kept struggling.

Larkin waved his hand and forcibly took Ophelia away.

An hour later, Ophelia was changed into a patient gown and tossed into a ward of the mental hospital. She was too terrified, struggling frantically, and a few doctors approached to restrain her.

Larkin coldly looked at Ophelia and said, "Ophelia, those who practice injustice will perish. Take care of yourself."

"Mr. Fitzgerald instructed us to take good care of her," several doctors immediately nodded in agreement. "Rest assured, Mr. Fitzgerald, we will cure Ophelia."

"Larkin, come back here! Come back! Can't you hear me? Let me out! Let me out! Ahh!" Ophelia watched as Larkin walked away, and several doctors surrounded her. "What are you doing? What are you doing?"

"We are here to treat you."

In the middle of the night, Ophelia was locked in the ward, surrounded by the strange sounds coming from other patients. She cowered in a corner covered in eerie graffiti.

Suddenly, the door of the ward opened. Ophelia shrank even further, afraid to even lift her head.

A woman stood at the doorway, silently staring at Ophelia for a long time. Slowly, she walked over. With a mask and a cap, her face was barely visible in the dark ward.

"Do you want to seek revenge on Cecily?" She bent down and gently lifted Ophelia's pale face with her slender fingers.

Ophelia had lost all ability to think rationally, but upon hearing the word "revenge," a surge of hatred made her subconsciously nod. "I want, I want revenge."

The woman curled her lips and patted Ophelia's head as if she were petting a well-behaved animal.

"Okay, can you be obedient?"

"Yes," Ophelia didn't care who this person was anymore. Ophelia would do anything as long as she had the ability and means to help her.

She no longer cared about anything else. The only thing that kept her alive was the motivation to retaliate against Cecily and her companions.

"Tomorrow, I will find a way to save you. Just be obedient, okay?"

Ophelia looked up and stared into the woman's eyes. They felt familiar, as did her voice.

She couldn't worry about that now; she nodded desperately. As long as this woman could help her escape, she was willing to do anything.

"You are such a good girl. Get some sleep."

The woman had a syringe in her hand, and without waiting for Ophelia's consent, she injected it into her body.

Under the pale moonlight, Ophelia's consciousness gradually dissipated. Her eyelids drooped as she watched the dark figure vanish.

The woman's aura told her that she was dangerous. She was unlikely to help her for free; perhaps she was only using her.

But that was okay. Ophelia was willing to give everything, even her life, as long as she could kill Cecily.

The next day.

The weather was nice today. Darian did not break his promise, and Cecily woke up to see her two children sitting on the couch, leisurely swinging their legs and eating breakfast.

"Mama."

Seeing Cecily awake, the two children immediately rushed into her arms. Cecily felt like she was dreaming.

"Rowan, Griffin? How did you guys come here?"

Griffin happily said, "Dad brought us here. Dad said he had to go on a business trip and wouldn't be back for three days. Today is Saturday, so we can stay with Mama."

Cecily didn't expect that man to be quite trustworthy. "What about your dad?"

"He already left. He said Mama didn't want to see him, so he has to be self-aware."

Cecily chuckled. "Did he really say 'self-aware'?"

"Of course."

Cecily pinched the little faces of her two little treasures. "I rarely hear him describe himself like that. But Rowan, Griffin, and Mama still have to go to work today. Aunt Thalia Mitchell is not at home right now. How about you guys come to the office with Mama? Mama will finish early and cook delicious food for you in the evening. Can you do that?"

Cecily didn't call Aunt Thalia Mitchell back because she didn't need a nanny. She was also worried about the children being alone at home, so she had to make this arrangement.

Rowan nodded. "Okay."

Griffin had no problem, either. "We'll listen to Mama. We will be good."

As long as they could be with Mama, everything was fine.

Seeing the two little ones carrying their small backpacks, Cecily's smile deepened.

After a little tidying up and breakfast, Cecily took the children to the company.
