Chapter 459 Darian, You Can't Leave Us!

Cecily really wanted to punch Aurelie.

"Cecily, what's wrong with me? Am I going to die?"

Cecily looked at her seriously. "You're not dying. You're just three months pregnant."

Aurelie felt like she'd been hit in the chest.

She froze.

One second passed.

Two seconds.

Three seconds.

"Are you serious?" Aurelie asked, more serious than ever.

"Would I joke about this?"

Aurelie felt her blood freeze and her mind go blank.

She could only hear her heartbeat. She instinctively placed her hand on her lower abdomen, standing there in a daze.

Cecily saw her about to collapse and reached out to support her.

"You said you haven't had your period for three months. If you're unsure, we can go to the hospital tomorrow."

Aurelie gripped Cecily's hand tightly, looking very unwell.

"I should go to the hospital, get a check-up. I believe you, but I need a medical report."

Aurelie was shaking but trying to stay calm.

"Okay, I'll go with you. But does the father need to know?"

"Don't tell him yet," Aurelie pleaded.

Her mind was in chaos.

Cecily nodded. "Okay, I won't tell anyone until you want to."

"Thank you, Cecily."

"How's Aurelie?" Vivienne asked, seeing Aurelie's pale face and cold sweat. "Are you feeling unwell?"

Aurelie tightened her grip on Cecily's hand.

Cecily spoke up, "Mom, her stomach is upset. Have the chef make something light for her."

"Yes, Aunt Vivienne, my stomach is upset, but no need to make something new."

Cecily insisted, "Listen to me."

Aurelie didn't say much more but was distracted throughout the meal.

After eating, Aurelie left in a hurry.

Cecily quickly called a driver when she saw her in a state.

"What's wrong with her? Is she pregnant?" Vivienne asked Cecily.

Cecily shook her head. "No, Mom, don't jump to conclusions."

Vivienne smiled. "Am I jumping to conclusions or did I guess right? Aurelie looked just like I did when I was pregnant with you. Back then, Bryan and I weren't married yet, and our relationship was intense. When I found out I was pregnant, I panicked and had no idea what to do."

Cecily's gaze softened. "Mom, I've never heard you talk about this."

"It was decades ago. I just remembered when I saw Aurelie like that. You're close to her, and she's just broken up and found out she's pregnant. I'm sure she feels helpless. Spend more time with her. And her boyfriend is about to get engaged to someone else. What will she do with the baby?"

Cecily shook her head worriedly. "I don't know. Only she can decide what to do with the baby. No one else has the right to interfere."

Vivienne nodded. Discovering a pregnancy now was a huge challenge for Aurelie.

"Are you going to see Darian later?"

"That's the plan."

As Cecily finished speaking, Vivienne's phone rang. It was Darian.

Vivienne raised an eyebrow. "Did you two have a fight?"

Cecily mumbled, "Who's fighting with him?"

Vivienne smiled and answered the phone. Immediately, a voice cried out from the other end, "Aunt Vivienne, help! Where's Cecily? Darian is dying, hurry!"

It was Hayden.

"Darian is dying?"

Cecily grabbed the phone, panicking. "What's wrong with him?"

"I don't know. Darian's face is pale, he's foaming at the mouth, and he's convulsing. He's not breathing!"

"Not breathing?"

"No, no, he passed out. Cecily, help! Darian, you can't leave us."

Cecily's anxiety spiked. Darian's head injury hadn't fully healed, and maybe it had relapsed.

"Did you call a doctor? Call a doctor now. I'm coming over immediately."

"Okay, Cecily, be careful on the road."

Cecily hung up and told Vivienne, "Mom, something's wrong with Darian. I need to go to the hospital."

"Go ahead, take it slow, and have the driver take you."

"Okay."

Cecily hurried out, with Rowan and Griffin quickly following her. "Mommy, take us with you."

Vivienne shook her head when she saw them rush out. "Silly kids."

Love really lowered one's IQ, it seemed.

At the hospital.

Darian looked at Hayden. "Who told you to say I was dying? What if you scared her?"

Hayden smirked. "Cecily's coming, didn't she? She sounded really worried about you on the phone."

Darian frowned, wanting to call Cecily back, but he felt helpless knowing her phone was off and she wouldn't answer.

Declan leaned against the window. "Darian, what did you do to make Cecily mad? She won't even answer your calls, and you had to go through her mom."

Darian downed the wine on the table in frustration. Cecily had a temper. She had left without listening to any explanation and wouldn't answer any calls or texts. He felt helpless.

"Was she always this quick to anger?"

"Who?" Hayden raised an eyebrow. "Cecily? Cecily has a good temper. Compared to her, your temper is worse. When Cecily first married you, she had a tough time. I wanted to slap you for her."

He accidentally spoke his mind.

Darian shot a dark look at him.

Hayden continued to tease, "Now it's your turn to be disliked by your wife and mother-in-law."

"Larkin."

Larkin immediately stepped forward.

"Throw him out."

"Let's talk this out," Hayden quickly pleaded, not daring to gloat anymore.

Darian ignored Hayden, his eyes deepening.

"I wouldn't dare have a bad temper in front of her now."

Darian found it both funny and frustrating. If he dared to lose his temper, Cecily would turn against him in a second.

"You brought this on yourself," Hayden teased with a smile.
