Chapter 173 He was a Madman
Cecily was cunning and sly, and Ophelia suspected that she intentionally let the doctor say that to make them relax their guard.
"Don't overthink it. Focus on healing first." Tabitha's fingers were in pain, so she quickly went to see the doctor after saying a few words.
Ophelia couldn't let her guard down, furrowing her brow. "Dad, where is Darian? If he's not at the hospital, where did he go?"
Tristan frowned. "I'm not sure about that either."
Ophelia felt that Darian leaving the hospital suddenly was also suspicious.
An unsettling feeling ignited in her heart.
After much deliberation...
"Dad, I still feel something's not right. That child absolutely cannot stay. If he didn't die, all our efforts would be wasted." Ophelia gritted her teeth and said fiercely.
"I will have someone continue to keep an eye on him. Let's observe for a while before making a move." Tristan didn't think it was the right time to take action. The consequences would be unimaginable if they were caught.
Seeing that they all didn't support her and she was injured herself, Ophelia could only thump the bed impatiently.
...
Meanwhile.
In Fitzgerald's Household living room.
Darian, dressed in a sharp suit, sat in the main seat of the sofa with a cold expression. His pitch-black eyes were like ice that had lasted for a thousand years, filled with a chilling coldness that made one's heart tremble.
On the single sofa next to him sat a middle-aged man with a slightly anxious expression. Although the man seemed uneasy on the surface, having held a position of power for a long time, he was not easily thrown off balance.
However, the man's unease came from Darian's silence.
Darian had ordered for him to be brought here, and it had been half an hour. Darian didn't say a word. At this moment, he was still handling the documents.
This half an hour felt like half a century to the man. He couldn't figure out what Darian was thinking at all.
This feeling was making him panic, and he couldn't bear it any longer. He took the initiative to ask, "Mr. Fitzgerald, what exactly do you want? If you still want information about the employer, then forget about it. We have our rules. If we were to reveal the employer's information, we wouldn't be able to continue in this line of work, please understand."
He said it in a strong tone and was about to leave. However, before he could take a step, Larkin suddenly raised his hand from behind and pressed his shoulder, forcing him to stay on the sofa.
The man turned his head and gave Larkin a cold glance, feeling somewhat annoyed. In an angry voice, he questioned, "What more do you want from us? I've already said that it's impossible to reveal the employer's information. Are you planning to keep me here?"
Darian finally raised his eyes and calmly scanned the room, "Who gave you the courage to touch my child?"
Walter's face changed slightly, and he looked angry.
He also wanted to know which ignorant fool under his command dared to take on such a task and touch Darian's child.
Did they not know some people could be touched while others were completely off-limits?
This was like trying to pull everyone down together!
Walter lowered his head, "One of my subordinates took on this task without my knowledge. However, since the issue arose under our watch, I will find this person and give you an explanation."
"Very well."
Seeing that he had agreed, Walter immediately asked, "May I leave now?"
Darian raised an eyebrow calmly, "No hurry, sit."
Walter hesitated, then obediently sat back on the sofa, angrily drinking his coffee in one gulp.
After a few minutes, a bodyguard quickly walked in, carrying something.
"Mr. Fitzgerald, we found it."
"Good."
The bodyguard handed the item to Larkin, who took it out - a laptop.
Walter felt that the laptop looked strangely familiar... In the next moment, he stood up abruptly, "Darian, are you crazy!"
This was his laptop, and it was locked inside his office. The office door couldn't be opened without his fingerprint, not even with an electric saw.
Walter looked at Darian in shock. Did this devil blow up his office?
Putting that aside, his office was quite secretive, and his men would never let Darian's people find it.
Unless Darian's people broke in, ransacked his territory, blew up his office door, and found the laptop.
Walter stared at Darian in shock, unable to say a word due to anger.
No wonder he was being held captive here. It was all for this!
'How wonderful, just wonderful!'
Walter was about to explode with anger.
Darian, however, maintained his indifferent expression.
Under Darian's gaze, Larkin opened the laptop and placed it in front of Walter.
Larkin spoke in a strong tone, "Mr. Walter, please."
Enraged, Walter slapped the laptop away, "Get lost!"
They had already taken his territory, and now they wanted him to share the information?
Spit! They were dreaming!
Darian raised his eyes and calmly glanced at him, his expression calm and indifferent but exuding an undeniable sense of pressure.
Walter's heart sank, instinctively shrinking back as he thought about the situation within his organization. He angrily retorted, "A few short-sighted individuals did this whole thing. Why do you have to involve me and all my subordinates?"
"You said that you can't break the rules. Your organization no longer exists, so what rules are there?"
"You!" Walter's heart trembled with fear, and his clenched hands were full of cold sweat. However, he did not dare to speak out in anger.
This guy was a madman!
After a while, Walter angrily stated, "Even if you get hold of the computer, it's useless. When the other party contacts us, it's always through anonymous accounts so that you won't find anything."
"Whether I can find it or not is my business."
"Dad, what are you guys doing?" Griffin came downstairs and, seeing the atmosphere in the living room, felt something strange. He spoke up and asked.
Darian fell silent for a moment as if recalling something and gestured for Griffin to come over.
Griffin walked over to Darian's side.
Darian's voice, unlike before, was not cold as he asked, "Can you crack computer passwords?"
Without hesitation, Griffin nodded, "Yes."
Darian moved the computer in front of Griffin and asked, "How long will it take?"
Griffin positioned the computer to his convenience and glanced at it for a moment. He quickly answered, "One minute."
A hint of a smile appeared in Darian's eyes as he said, "Let's begin."
"Okay, I'll go get my computer first."
"Larkin."
Larkin immediately went upstairs to fetch Griffin's computer.
A scornful cold smile appeared on Walter's lips.
'How can a little kid crack computer passwords in just one minute?'
'What a joke.'
Walter simply didn't believe that a child could do it.
Soon, Griffin's computer was brought down, and Griffin quickly manipulated something on his own computer before starting to fiddle with Walter's computer.
Walter still had a look of disdain on his face.
One minute later...
"Done." Griffin raised his head and pushed the computer over to Darian.
Darian looked at the opened computer, looked at Griffin with a smirk, and said, "Good."
Walter was dumbfounded, remaining silent for a full three seconds before finding his voice again, "How... how is this possible?"
'A little kid cracking his password in just one minute?'
