Chapter 505 Conducting a DNA Test for Cecily and Bryan

Bryan saw Vivienne come out and immediately stepped forward. "How did it go? What did he say?"

"Can you stay away from me?" Vivienne's face had returned to its usual coldness, and her eyes were filled with unending hatred as she looked at Bryan.

Despite knowing that Vivienne held deep hatred and disdain towards him, her expression still struck a painful chord within him. "I understand your feelings of animosity, but please don't make things difficult for yourself," he pleaded, his heart heavy with remorse.

Vivienne sneered, "What makes you think I would make things hard on myself because of you?"

As she spoke, Vivienne's gaze fell on Bryan's hand, where he wore a ring on his ring finger that matched the one on her hand.

Vivienne had initially been unwilling to wear it, but Bryan had forced her to. At the time, she thought it was better to wear it and make him happy so he wouldn't bother her.

In fact, the ring didn't fit her at all; it was a size too big and could be easily removed from her finger.

Bryan's eyes narrowed. "What are you doing?"

Vivienne pinched the ring and smiled, "Bryan, when you chose to exchange Cecily for Freya, you became my enemy forever. Wearing your stuff makes me sick."

Bryan's pupils trembled as he watched Vivienne stride to the window and throw the ring out with force.

Bryan tried to catch it, but it was too late. Watching the ring disappear from sight, his eyes were filled with desolation.

He was just like that ring she discarded without hesitation. Their feelings, their marriage, she never cared.

The ring was something he forced her to wear, the feelings were something he took by force, and the marriage was something he coerced.

Thinking about it, how could she not despise him?

Vivienne knew what that ring meant. She also knew it was something Bryan had personally designed and made. She knew that doing this would hurt Bryan, which was why she did it.

Did it hurt? She was in pain, too, so they might as well suffer together.

Didn't he love her deeply? Losing her should be the most painful thing for him.

It was almost over.

After all this entanglement, it was finally coming to an end.

Vivienne laughed out loud.

"If doing these things and saying these words makes you feel better, go ahead," Bryan said, his eyes full of pain.

Vivienne sneered.

She didn't feel better at all.

Because no matter what she did, Cecily was hurt, and one of her grandsons was gone forever.

Seeing Gary running over from a distance, Vivienne ignored Bryan.

Bryan took two steps forward but was stopped by Gary, who said firmly, "Stop."

Bryan frowned. "She's not feeling well."

"She'll feel much better not seeing you." Gary said coldly.

Bryan's actions had caused Cecily to suffer serious injuries and lose her child. Additionally, Aurelie had nearly miscarried because he had taken the car. If it weren't for his social status, Gary would have contemplated seeking revenge against him.

Gary carefully supported Vivienne as they left. After a few steps, Vivienne seemed to remember something and stopped.

There was a question she had never asked Bryan.

"Bryan, why did you still exchange Cecily for Freya after I told you yesterday that Cecily was your daughter? Your biological daughter, your own grandson, are they all less important than Freya?" Vivienne asked.

When Vivienne found out that Bryan had still exchanged Cecily for Freya, she couldn't believe it.

She thought that once Bryan knew, he would never exchange Cecily for Freya.

But the reality was different.

He did it, even knowing that Cecily was his biological daughter.

Vivienne didn't turn around, so she couldn't see Bryan's complicated expression.

"You said Cecily is my biological daughter. How is that possible? We only had one child, and you aborted that child yourself."

Vivienne's breath hitched, and she turned sharply to look at Bryan. "You think I'm lying to you?"

"Isn't that the case? Didn't you say that just to stop me from exchanging Cecily for Freya?"

Vivienne endured the pain in her stomach and looked at Bryan with deep sorrow.

He actually thought she was lying?

How laughable and ironic. She had told him repeatedly, and he thought it was all lies.

So that's how it was.

Vivienne nodded, tears welling up in her eyes but not falling.

There was nothing more to say.

Vivienne turned and walked away. Gary gave Bryan a look full of extreme sarcasm.

Observing Vivienne briskly walking away, Bryan suppressed his frustration and turned back to approach Wade in order to seek answers.

Wade had already composed himself. Seeing Bryan burst in with a grim face, Wade was used to it.

"What's wrong with Vivienne?" Bryan asked in a hoarse voice.

Wade was busy with his own things, and neither of them hid their dislike for each other.

"You still care about her?"

"She's my wife; of course, I care about her."

Wade sneered and said lightly, "So you still consider her your wife?"

Hearing these sarcastic words, Bryan got angry. "You have no right to comment on things between me and her. You're her doctor, and I'm her family. You have no reason not to answer my question."

Wade glanced at him, suppressing his anger. He really wanted to tell Bryan about Vivienne's condition.

He wanted to tell that Vivienne had been diagnosed with late-stage stomach cancer and didn't have long to live.

His deep affection and stubborn imprisonment had led Vivienne to leave him in the most tragic way.

But Vivienne didn't want to tell him. Maybe discovering everything after losing her would be the heaviest punishment for Bryan. So Wade supported Vivienne's decision.

"She's fine, just a stomachache. When she gets home, she should eat light meals and remember to eat on time. I've already prescribed her medication; she'll be fine after taking it." Wade said.

After answering simply, Wade stood up. He couldn't stay in the same room with Bryan any longer. "I have things to do, please move."

Bryan didn't doubt Wade's words because Wade also cared about Vivienne. If Vivienne's condition were serious, he believed Wade wouldn't be so casual about it.

Reflecting on the situation, Vivienne probably hadn't eaten well these past two days. He knew she had stomach problems.

Knowing Vivienne wasn't seriously ill, Bryan finally relaxed.

Vivienne, who had left in anger, didn't get far before the pain in her stomach made her lose strength. She leaned against the wall to stand.

Gary immediately reached out to support her. "What's wrong?"

Vivienne bit her lip. "It's nothing, just a stomachache from not eating. How's Aurelie?"

She had learned yesterday that Aurelie was also in the hospital but hadn't had time to ask.

Gary said, "Don't worry, Aurelie is fine now. The doctor said she had a threatened miscarriage yesterday, but the baby is safe. Her ex-boyfriend is in her ward now."

"You mean Nathaniel?"

"Yes."

"Let's go see her."

Gary supported Vivienne. "They seem to have something to talk about alone."

Upon hearing this, Vivienne furrowed her brow. The unbearable pain in her stomach reminded her that she needed to return and take some medication to alleviate her discomfort.

So Vivienne gave up the idea of seeing Aurelie.

"Let's go home first." Vivienne's expression changed slightly, and after some thought, she said, "Send someone to Bryan's place to find any samples that can be used for DNA testing."

DNA testing didn't only require blood samples; hair, nails, and saliva could also be used.

"Do you want to do a DNA test for Cecily and Bryan?"
