Chapter 635 Strangle me, do you dare?
"What do you mean?" Nathaniel's voice was tight.
"If you want to know, meet me at 8 AM. I'll send you the location. Don't be late," Stanley said, then hung up.
Nathaniel gripped his phone, veins bulging. It was only a few hours until 8 AM, and he knew exactly what Stanley wanted.
He'd have to choose between revenge and Aurelie.
Aurelie was sleeping soundly at home when she heard noises outside her door.
By the time she got up to check, they were already inside the house.
Before she could lock her bedroom door, it was kicked open.
Someone grabbed her arm, and she felt a sharp pain in her neck. Dizzy, her eyes closed, and she collapsed.
A wave of cold washed over her as she opened her eyes. The throbbing pain in her neck was proof of the force used against her.
As she struggled to open her eyes, the unfamiliar environment filled her with fear. She trembled, her eyes darting around in panic.
But all she saw was darkness. She was lying on the ground, surrounded by an eerie silence, which only made her more scared.
Her eyes darted around helplessly. She tried to move her arms and legs to sit up, but they were all tied up.
She moved her body with difficulty but didn't dare make a sound, fearing her kidnappers were nearby and would harm her if they realized she was awake.
But who had kidnapped her?
Was it someone from the Kensington family?
It had to be.
She had no beef with the Kensington family. They must have kidnapped her because of Nathaniel, which meant she had to stay quiet.
She didn't want Nathaniel to rescue her. She already owed him too much.
Aurelie had misunderstood for eleven years. Every time something like this happened, she instinctively thought of Nathaniel.
But even though it wasn't him who saved her eleven years ago, Aurelie didn't want Nathaniel to risk himself for her.
It was a critical moment in his struggle with the Kensington Group. They kidnapped her to force Nathaniel to let the Kensington Group go.
Aurelie didn't want to make a sound, but the slight noise she made when she woke up alerted the people outside.
"You're awake," a man said.
The voice was familiar. It was Stanley's.
In the darkness, footsteps approached.
The room's lights came on, and the blinding white light made Aurelie close her eyes. When she opened them again, she quickly looked at the person in front of her.
Stanley, it was indeed him!
Next to him stood a man with a vicious expression, Lillian.
It was the two of them working together. Aurelie struggled hard, but her hands and feet were tied, and she couldn't even sit up.
"What do you want? Let me go!" Aurelie tried to stay calm, but her trembling voice showed her true emotions.
"Let you go?" Stanley laughed. "We went through all this trouble to kidnap you, and you want me to let you go? You're dreaming."
"Are you still going to be stubborn? This is a crime," Aurelie said.
"Stubborn? Ridiculous." Stanley bent down, his eyes like a venomous snake's, staring intently at Aurelie. "Everything from the Kensington family should have been mine. Why should that bastard Nathaniel take my things? If he had just behaved, no one around him would have been harmed. But he insisted on opposing me. How could I let him go? Don't you agree?"
Aurelie was truly shocked by Stanley's shamelessness. She sneered, "Do you really think that if Nathaniel behaved, he would be safe? Eleven years ago, he was only nineteen. He had no ability to compete with you. Wasn't he behaving enough? Yet you still sent him to prison for ten years. After he got out, just from what I know, you tried to have the casino owner kill Nathaniel. So, if he behaved, you wouldn't go after him? Yes, you would, because you're incompetent. You're afraid of his excellence, so you keep attacking him. Even if Nathaniel behaved, you wouldn't let him go. Stanley, Nathaniel was in prison for ten years, and now that he's out, you still can't beat him. How incompetent are you?"
Stanley, enraged, grabbed her neck.
Hitting a sore spot, Stanley's emotions were uncontrollable. "Say that again, and I'll strangle you!"
Aurelie retorted, "Strangle me? Do you dare? You still need me to threaten Nathaniel. You're angry, but you don't dare kill me now."
The hand on her neck tightened, and Aurelie felt suffocated. But her eyes showed no fear, staring straight at Stanley, as if mocking his incompetence.
