Chapter 175 He Must Be Aware of the Secret about the Children
Imagining the consequences, Ophelia anxiously grabbed at her hair. "Mom, I'm scared. How did things get to this point? It wasn't supposed to be like this. Everything was going so smoothly in the beginning."
"Don't worry, don't worry, there will be a solution. I'll go talk to your father about this right now," Tabitha comforted.
"Okay, Mom, go quickly, go quickly."
Ophelia forced herself to calm down, and after a moment of contemplation, she quickly reached for her phone on the bed and dialed Elysia's number. "Come over right away, immediately."
After hanging up the phone, Ophelia slid to the floor, her eyes filled with fear.
Elysia arrived quickly.
"Ophelia, why did you urgently call me over?" Elysia asked.
Seeing Ophelia collapsed on the floor, Elysia quickly walked over. "Ophelia, what's wrong with you?"
Ophelia's eyes slowly fell on Elysia's face, and she firmly grabbed her collar, pulling her closer. She sharply asked, "Elysia, would you betray me?"
Elysia's pupils contracted for a moment, unsure why Ophelia suddenly asked this question. "Ophelia, why are you asking this all of a sudden? Of course, I would never betray you."
Ophelia gritted her teeth. "Remember what you said today. If one day you betray me, I will make the entire Watson Family pay."
Fear filled Elysia's face. "Ophelia, what's happening?"
"I don't know what will happen. I just have a feeling of unease. Now, go back and please your family's elders," Ophelia shoved Elysia forcefully.
Elysia was in a state of confusion. She had no idea what was happening.
Seeing Ophelia's frightened expression, Elysia had a bad feeling and quickly got up. "I... I'll go now."
Ophelia watched Elysia leave and had the servant help her up. "Where is Darian right now?"
"Mr. Fitzgerald is probably outside Rowan's hospital room."
"Go, get me a wheelchair. I want to go see Darian," Ophelia forced herself to calm down. It was only when she was calm that she could think clearly about this matter.
Darian and Cecily had been investigating the matter of the child. Maybe they had found something out.
However, what they could do was only in Elysia's bank account.
As long as Elysia insisted that she was solely responsible for this, she would be fine.
And Elysia, as long as Matilda stepped forward to plead with Cecily, could be saved.
Ophelia didn't know if her intuition was accurate or not, but she needed to test Darian's attitude now.
She arrived outside Rowan's hospital room.
Darian happened to be coming out from inside the room, and his indifferent face turned cold when he saw Ophelia. "Why are you here?"
"Darian, I heard that Rowan woke up, so I came to check on him," Ophelia hid her emotions, wearing an expression of concern for the child.
"My child doesn't need you to check on him," Cecily's voice came from inside the room.
The scene from that day was still vivid in Ophelia's mind. Seeing Cecily, Ophelia's shoulders instinctively tensed, and her fear couldn't be hidden in her eyes.
She clenched her fists, then relaxed them, replacing the fear in her eyes with hatred. "Rowan is someone I watched grow up. I came to see him. It has nothing to do with you."
After being hurt by Cecily like this, Ophelia couldn't pretend to have a kind expression no matter what.
Cecily pursed her lips and said, "Rowan is hurt, and we both know who did it. It's disgusting how you continue to pretend. Don't you feel sick?"
Ophelia's gaze shifted to Darian, carefully observing the subtle expressions on his face.
However, Darian's face remained expressionless, and his eyes were filled with depth, revealing no emotions.
Gritting her teeth, Ophelia's face turned pale. She shook her head helplessly and said, "Fine, because of your suspicions, I've suffered so much. You're still going to doubt me, and I can't do anything about it, Darian. I'm leaving."
Ophelia lowered her head, her eyes filled with sadness and grievances. However, as she turned around, her expression immediately became extremely sinister.
That Cecily!
She was simply despicable.
Ophelia could only return to her own ward for now.
Cecily looked away indifferently and returned to the ward to keep Rowan company. Griffin was also there. Cecily looked at the two children and didn't know if her decision was right or not.
If Darian were to find out that the two children were his biological children, it would mean that the children might leave her.
Because whether it was Darian or Owen, they would never allow the descendants of the Fitzgerald Family to be left without protection!
Even if Darian finds out and doesn't fight her for the children, Owen is still above Darian.
...
Two days passed, and Rowan's condition had stabilized, so he was transferred to a regular ward.
In Ophelia's room, the sound of shattered glass could be heard as she threw everything off the table onto the floor. "Bitch! You deceived me? Ha! You deceived me! Her son was clearly out of danger, and she conspired with the doctors to deceive me. Cecily, you are so cunning."
Ophelia's chest heaved violently, trembling with anger.
Rowan didn't die, and her plan was all in vain.
Now, Darian has redone the paternity test and has people watching them. They didn't have any chance to make a move.
Ophelia's mouth twisted, and tears continued to slide down her cheeks.
She had done so much, and yet she still saved Cecily some effort.
Tabitha and Tristan frowned as they watched Ophelia cry and laugh.
"Knock, knock."
Two knocks on the door sounded.
Tristan walked over to open the door, and Larkin stood there.
Larkin's expression remained serious and indifferent as he spoke in a business-like tone, "Mr. Flores, our boss, would like Miss Ophelia to pay a visit to his place."
Upon hearing this, the three of them all changed their expressions.
Darian now wanted Ophelia to go to Fitzgerald's Family. It couldn't be that the test report came out...
Tristan asked calmly, furrowing his brows, "Is there something important that Ophelia needs to go over there for? If it's not something important, it's better just to say it here. As you can see, Ophelia is still injured, and it's inconvenient for her to go out."
"It is something important and must be discussed in person. However, you all can rest assured that we have prepared a wheelchair so that Miss Ophelia doesn't have to walk herself."
Larkin's tone was forceful, meaning that he must take Ophelia away today.
Ophelia panicked, and her expression froze.
Tristan's eyes darkened, feeling uneasy as well. He could only say, "Then wait a moment. Ophelia needs to change her clothes."
"Alright," Larkin stepped back outside.
Tristan closed the door.
Ophelia couldn't hold it together anymore, and in a panic, she said, "What should I do? Darian must know about the secret about the children, that's why he urgently called me over. What should I do? What should I do?"
