Chapter 326 The Situation Reversed Instantly
Eliza curled her lips into a very smug smile. "Let's begin."
She raised her hand, and the hired bodyguard brought the medicine bottle in front of Cecily. Though Cecily couldn't identify the drug by sight, Eliza's intent to ensure she didn't leave alive suggested it was lethal.
Eliza stood up, walked to a nearby table, and fiddled with her assortment of unknown potions. She preferred to watch Cecily struggle between life and death rather than rush her to take the pill immediately.
Cecily hesitated for a moment, and just as she was about to reach out, Vincent knocked the bottle out of the bodyguard's hand. White pills scattered all over the floor, and Eliza slammed the table in anger, glaring at Vincent, "Are you asking for trouble??"
Eliza's people instantly drew their weapons, aiming at Cecily and Vincent.
Vincent struggled to stand, his deep eyes filled with rage. "Aren't you just a bitch who likes to use poison? Do you have any other tricks?"
Cecily grabbed Vincent."Don't be impulsive."
"Since you don't like making choices, you can die together." Eliza threw down the spoon she was playing with, her eyes turning cold. "Kill them."
"Wait," Cecily quickly spoke up, "If I die, you won't live either. Darian won't let you go."
"Oh right, I can't be the one to kill you," Cecily's words seemed to remind Eliza, "Hey, someone go get Ophelia and tell her I've caught Cecily, the one she hates the most. She'll be stoked to come over, right?"
"You really think having her kill me will work? She's just a dumb."
"Others might not work, but you and Ophelia have deep-seated grudges. She's wanted to kill you for a long time. If she kills you and disposes of your body, even if it's discovered, no one would suspect anyone else, right?"
Cecily nodded. It was undeniable that she had thought it through very well.
Eliza smiled. "Do you think this is feasible?"
"It is feasible, but what if I had defenses in place?"
Eliza's expression changed. "What did you do?"
She stared at Cecily, then thought, ‘You said that Darian knows you were captured by me, do you? So what? I guarantee he won't find any evidence proving you were murdered. Then I'll present evidence that your mother killed his father, and do you think he'll care about you?’
"Besides, once you're dead, I'll be the only Cecily, becoming Ms. Bennett, protected by the Bennett family. Who would dare lay a finger on me ?"
She really had thought of everything.
Cecily said, "You have quite the imagination."
"And it will be reality."
Cecily unfastened her necklace, raised her hand as she looked at Eliza, saying, "What if I told you that everything you just said, including your plan to kill me, has been recorded in the Fitzgerald's computer?"
Eliza looked at Cecily opening the pendant on her necklace, and when she saw what was inside, her once smug face turned to ashen. It was a miniature camera!
Cecily smiled. "Can we sit down and talk now?"
The situation reversed in an instant.
Eliza stared straight at the necklace in Cecily's hand, thinking about everything she had said today. She was repentant .
"Cecily!" She clenched her fists and quickly snatched the necklace from Cecily's hand, roaring in anger, "You were baiting me to say all this from the start."
"Yes, from the very beginning," Cecily admitted openly.
Eliza thought Cecily was at her mercy on her turf, so she felt she had the upper hand and was the victor. This made her complacent and let her guard down. But how could Cecily be foolish enough to walk into her trap unprepared and let herself get cut down like animals?
"You!" Eliza was furious, throwing the necklace to the ground and stomping on it.
Cecily stood calmly, watching her rage. "Do you think destroying the necklace will help?"
Eliza laughed out of anger. "I finally understand why Ophelia and Elysia, those two fools, fell on you. Your mind is much sharper than ours. No wonder you're Vivienne's daughter."
