Chapter 310 Cecily was Taken Away
Darian cast his eyes down at Cecily, his gaze filled with tenderness. "I apologize, it was a mistake on my part. I shouldn't have acted so hastily. If it's true, then let it happen," he said softly.
Cecily hesitated for a moment, pushed his hand away, and gave a bitter smile. "You make it sound so simple. Just give birth and everything will be fine?”
Darian held Cecily's hand that was pushing him away, and said seriously and solemnly, "As long as you want, the position of Mrs. Fitzgerald will always be yours."
Just as he finished speaking, he thought of the words Ophelia had said.
"Cecily's mother killed your father, there is a deep enmity between you and her!"
Darian's heart sank suddenly. He couldn't believe a word of what Ophelia said, it was impossible, especially considering Owen's attitude.
Initially, Owen had shown clear affection for Cecily, but later he inexplicably turned against her. Despite Cecily bearing two children for the Fitzgerald Family, he continued to reject her.
After much thought, only Ophelia's words remained in his mind.
In other words, Owen knew about this matter, held a grudge, and that's why he detested Cecily and prevented them from being together.
Although Darian couldn't verify the truth of the matter, it weighed heavily on his mind, troubling him whenever it crossed his thoughts.
Cecily remained silent, and at that moment, there were two knocks at the door.
Larkin stood outside, saying, "Boss."
Larkin didn't provide any specific information; it seemed more like a subtle reminder to Darian.
"You have something to attend to; you should go first," Cecily remarked casually.
Darian furrowed his brow, tucked her in with a blanket, and said softly, "Alright, you go to sleep. I'll be back soon.”
"Okay."
Darian left, closing the door behind him. Only then did Larkin speak softly beside him, "Boss, Eliza is preparing to return to Silver Frost Capital. She was found at the airport and has been intercepted."
Darian nodded. "I see."
In an empty house at this moment, Eliza was held down by two people, her shoulders pressed against a chair.
She looked pale, already injured, and the intense struggle made her break out in a cold sweat.
She had intended to return to Silver Frost Capital, but was suddenly grabbed by someone and dragged into this house.
She had a good idea of who had kidnapped her.
As the double doors swung open, a rush of cold air entered, causing Eliza to shiver. She gazed at the figure before her with fear in her eyes.
A man in a sharp suit, tall and imposing, exuding a powerful aura.
The man was Darian.
Eliza had anticipated this, but she was still startled when she saw him.
"Darian? It's really you! What do you want by bringing me here?" Eliza pretended to be calm, but her trembling voice betrayed her.
Darian walked up to her, giving her a cold look.
Larkin brought a chair over, Darian sat down, crossed his legs, leaned back in the chair, his handsome face devoid of any expression, chilling to the core.
He simply sat there, not doing anything, yet his presence was intimidating, instilling fear in those around him.
At this moment, he was far from the gentle and caring Darian towards Cecily, all that remained was endless coldness and ruthlessness.
"Darian, what do you want? I am now acknowledged as the Miss of the Bennett family. Aren't you concerned about antagonizing the Bennett family by abducting me?" Eliza fought with all her strength, the wounds on her back reopening from the exertion, blood seeping out bright red.
"Vivienne's involvement in my father's death, you told Ophelia about it," Darian's tone was not questioning, but affirmative.
Last night, he had been thinking that Ophelia couldn't have known about this matter for no reason, someone must have deliberately told her to inform him.
Who could that person be?
If not Owen, then it could only be Eliza, who was also in the car at the time of the accident.
So today, he had people watching the Bennett's Family, and as soon as Eliza came out, she would be intercepted by his subordinates.
“You had Ophelia inform me of this, attempting to create conflict between Cecily and me, assuming that I would no longer defend her, allowing you to handle her more easily, correct?" Darian inquired icily, his intense gaze locked on the woman before him.
Eliza's heart trembled, listening to Darian's analysis, she was momentarily stunned, unable to speak.
She couldn't admit that she had told Ophelia about these things, because once she did, it would be tantamount to admitting that she was Eliza.
There should be recording devices or surveillance here, if she admitted it, she would be providing evidence.
Eliza was clear-headed at the moment, but she couldn't admit to these things.
After a brief moment of contemplation, she lifted her head and gazed at Darian with a perplexed expression. "What are you referring to? Ophelia, killing… I'm unaware of any of this. I don't understand," she said.
"Don't understand?"
"Don't understand," Eliza said firmly.
"Is that so," a flash of bloodthirsty light passed through Darian's eyes. "then let me explain it in a way you can understand."
He waved his hand; Eliza panicked. "What are you going to do?"
"Let me go, let me go, let me go!"
The metallic clang of iron chains reverberated through the room as Eliza was abruptly yanked from her chair by an unseen force. Her hands were hoisted and suspended by the iron chains, and with a powerful tug, she was lifted into the air, hanging suspended.
The wound on her back was torn open again, causing her to cry out in pain.
"Ah! Darian, let me down!"
The large empty house was filled with her moans of pain, making one's scalp tingle.
Eliza kept twisting her body, trying to alleviate the pain in her back, but it was all in vain.
“Darian! I am the Miss of the Bennett Family. By treating me in this manner, the Bennett Family will not forgive you. They will soon come looking for me. You are making enemies with the Bennett Family.”
Desmond had people watching her, so when she was taken away by Darian, Desmond and the others would definitely know.
They couldn't confirm that she was Ms. Bennett, but at the same time, they couldn't confirm that she wasn't Ms. Bennett.
There was a fifty percent chance that she was, so they wouldn't just let Darian do as he pleased without consequences. So Eliza knew that the people from the Bennett Family would definitely come looking for her.
It was just a matter of time, and what she had to do now was hold on until the Bennett Family's people arrived.
At this moment, the guys sent by the Bennett Family to tail Eliza hurried back to report to Desmond, "Desmond, Miss Cecily has been kidnapped."
Desmond was taken aback, immediately setting down the teacup in his hand, "Kidnapped? By whom?”
"It seems to be the people from the Fitzgerald's Family."
Desmond stood up, his brow furrowed. "Do you know where she was taken?"
"We have someone following, but since they are from the Fitzgerald's Family, we are not taking any rash actions for now."
Desmond paused for a few seconds, his expression darkening. "They didn't say anything? They just took her away directly?"
