Chapter 365 Making Darian Forget Her Forever
Griffin called Aurelie to reassure her, then followed Bryan out.
In the hospital room.
Darian still hadn't awakened. Owen stood nearby, his brows furrowed deeply as he watched Darian. His eyes were filled with sorrow and resentment, an aura so oppressive that no one dared to approach.
It seemed he was grappling with a difficult decision. After a long while, he took a deep breath and commanded, "Go find Eliza for me, and be quick about it."
"Eliza?" Sawyer was puzzled as to why Owen suddenly wanted Eliza.
"Mr. Owen Fitzgerald, Eliza has been locked up by Mr. Darian Fitzgerald. Why do you need her?"
"Stop talking and just bring her here."
Seeing Owen in such a foul mood, Sawyer dared not ask further questions and complied with his orders.
Soon, Eliza, who had been tortured and was covered in bruises, was brought in front of Owen. Her eyes were blind, and any slight movement made her jump like a frightened bird. She collapsed on the ground, trembling uncontrollably.
"Where is this place?" She sniffed the hospital's disinfectant smell, knowing the pharmacology would make poison to these smells very sensitive, and she distinguished it all at once.
"This is a hospital. Why have you brought me here? My eyes are already ruined. What more do you want from me? Speak up, Darian, Cecily, come out and talk to me."
Eliza spun around on the floor in a panic.
"Eliza," Owen's deep voice resonated.
Hearing the sound, Eliza turned around, startled, and then pleasantly surprised. "Grandfather, is it really you? Did you save me? Our goals are aligned; I knew you wouldn't abandon me."
Owen stepped forward, looking down at Eliza on the ground. "I can save you, but you must do something for me."
"What is it? Kill Vivienne? I can do that. As long as you save me, my life is yours. I will do anything for you."
Eliza groped around, frantically grabbing Owen's pant leg and kneeling before him like the most loyal servant.
"Just don't send me back to that hellish place. I will kill Vivienne for you."
It was too terrifying; she never wanted to go back.
Being imprisoned by Darian was a fate worse than death.
Owen chuckled coldly. "Do you think you're capable of killing Vivienne in your current state? Whether you can survive is still uncertain."
Eliza gritted her teeth and said viciously, "Whether I live or die is up to you. My eyes may be blind, but don't forget, I am skilled in making poisons. If given the chance, I can poison Vivienne and Cecily in an instant."
Owen laughed coldly.
Indeed, even blind, her malice was undiminished.
"Is that so? Then you might still be useful." Owen waved his hand, and a bodyguard brought in a tray full of bottles and jars. "Do you recognize these?"
Eliza reached out and felt the things in front of her, opened one and sniffed it, it was the poison she made normally.
"I recognize them all. These were taken from..."
"From your place. I heard you have a drug that can cause amnesia. Is that true?" Owen glanced at the array of bottles, picking one up in his large hand.
Eliza's heart trembled as she nodded. "Yes, what do you intend to do?"
"Find it."
Eliza didn't know what Owen wanted to do, but at the moment, she could only rely on him to stay alive. So she lowered her head and opened each bottle, frantically searching for that potion. After looking around, she raised her head again and asked him, "Who are you going to use it for?"
"That's not your concern."
"But I need to know to determine if it's toxic."
Owen narrowed his eyes. "I want one that is non-toxic and harmless to the body."
"Absolutely non-toxic is impossible. If it were completely harmless, it couldn't cause amnesia." Eliza tightly gripped a vial and handed it to him.
Owen glanced at her, took the vial, and examined it closely. "What do you mean by harmful to the body?"
"The biggest harm it does is causing amnesia. Other effects can only be known through personal experience. I haven't tried it myself, so I don't know if there might be other side effects, but compared to others, this one is relatively mild."
Owen squinted at the vial in his hand. "Can it make someone forget a memory permanently?"
"No, the amnesia is only temporary."
Owen tightened his grip on the vial. "Then what use is it to me?"
He wanted Darian to completely forget his past with Cecily, never to remember her again.
"Grandfather, there's currently no drug that can permanently erase memories without severe harm to the body," Eliza gritted her teeth. "If you need it, I can make it, but it depends on who it's for."
Though Eliza couldn't see, she knew from Owen's request that the matter was serious.
Owen squinted his eyes slightly.
Seeing his silence, Eliza tentatively asked, "Grandfather, do you need one that causes permanent amnesia?"
"No," Owen firmly interrupted her. He only wanted Darian to forget Cecily, but he couldn't harm Darian's body.
This one would suffice, even if it only made Darian forget for a year or two.
By then, he would have arranged for Darian to marry someone else, and Cecily would fade from Darian's world forever.
