Chapter 611: Nathaniel, I curse you to die outside

The Kensington family's outcast, who had been in prison for ten years, marrying the Lewis family's unwanted madwoman. How could it not be a joke?

Midway through the wedding, Nathaniel's phone buzzed. It was the nanny, and she sounded scared out of her mind, her voice shaking as she spilled the beans on what just went down.

Nathaniel's heart did a somersault.

Someone handed him a glass of wine, hinting it was time for a toast, but he hesitated. Lillian, who'd barely calmed down from her earlier meltdown, was glaring at him.

After hanging up, Nathaniel was ready to bolt.

Lillian grabbed his arm, not letting him go. "Where do you think you're going? The wedding's not over."

"Was it you?" Nathaniel shot her a dark look.

"What are you talking about?" Lillian looked totally lost.

Nathaniel tried to keep his cool. The nanny said the intruders showed up before Aurelie got back. Lillian was still losing it in the dressing room then, so she couldn't have set up an ambush at the apartment.

So, it wasn't Lillian.

Nathaniel's eyes then darted to Terry and Stanley, who were still chilling at the banquet, toasting and chatting. They had no reason to kidnap Aurelie in the middle of the wedding.

That left one answer: a payback from the casino folks over the last incident.

Figuring it out, Nathaniel glanced at Lillian and made a move to leave.

"Nathaniel! Stop right there!" Lillian's bottled-up anger exploded as she saw him about to leave. "Where are you going?"

"I've got something to handle," Nathaniel replied.

His casual tone made Lillian even madder. "What's so important that you have to ditch the wedding? Is it because of Aurelie?"

Everyone turned to stare at them.

The guests were confused but stayed quiet.

Brent and Laura heard Lillian's outburst and rushed over, with Terry also getting up.

Laura glanced between them, then awkwardly looked at the guests, pulling the furious Lillian aside. "What are you two fighting about? Everyone's watching. Let's talk about this later."

"Mom, he's leaving. He's going to find that bitch Aurelie again," Lillian shouted.

Terry, Brent, and Laura all turned to Nathaniel. Terry's eyes darkened as he spoke, "Nathaniel, you can't go anywhere today. Whatever it is, wait until the wedding's over."

Laura chimed in, "Yeah, Nathaniel, whatever it is, wait until the wedding's done. Everyone's watching, don't make a scene."

"Sorry, I gotta go." Nathaniel's voice was calm but firm.

With that, he walked out, leaving everyone stunned.

"Nathaniel!" Terry roared, but he couldn't stop him. He could only glare at Nathaniel's retreating figure.

"Nathaniel, if you leave, don't ever come back. I hope you die out there and never return," Lillian screamed hysterically at his back.

She'd put up with so much today. If it weren't for the wedding, she wouldn't have let Aurelie off the hook. Now, Aurelie was gone, and Nathaniel was leaving too. Her anger hit its peak and exploded.

"Shut up," Brent snapped, pulling Lillian back.

Lillian's curse was too harsh. Saying it in private was one thing, but shouting it out loud in front of all the guests made her look like a bitter woman.

The guests, watching the drama unfold, started whispering among themselves.

"The groom just bailed. What's the deal?" someone asked.

"Who knows? I heard Ms. Lewis threw a fit in the dressing room before the wedding. No one knows what went down," a guy replied.

"I came here expecting some wedding drama, but this is next level. The groom's gone, the bride's losing it. Never seen anything like this in all my years. It's wild," a woman chuckled.

"Right? Listen to Ms. Lewis's curses. That's not how you talk to your husband; it's like she's talking to an enemy. This couple's a mess," the guy added.

All the snarky and mocking comments reached the Lewis family. Lillian covered her ears, screaming, "Shut up! All of you! Get out!"

Brent and Laura's eyes widened as they tried to pull Lillian back and cover her mouth, but it was too late.

She had just told the guests to leave, and everyone heard it.

The guests snorted and started standing up to leave.

One by one, they got up, said their goodbyes with blank expressions, and left without a second thought.

The Lewis family members hurriedly apologized and tried to keep the guests, but not many were willing to stay. More and more people got up and left.

The scene was chaotic.

Nathaniel walked outside, and Stanley followed closely behind, calling out to him, "Nathaniel, I am warning you. If you leave now, you may not come back."

Lillian's curse wasn't impossible to come true.

Stanley's face was filled with glee.

Nathaniel turned to look at Stanley, staying calm, "Are you that scared I'll compete with you for the inheritance?"

Nathaniel didn't believe the casino's sudden move had nothing to do with Stanley.

Stanley was always scheming to get rid of him.

Even though Nathaniel had been sent to prison eleven years ago through a setup, Stanley still didn't let his guard down on him, fearing he would compete for the inheritance.

But Stanley was wrong. Nathaniel wouldn't compete for the inheritance; he would destroy the Kensington family's inheritance that Stanley valued so much.

Stanley laughed even more gleefully, "Compete for the inheritance? What a joke. The inheritance has always been mine alone. You or anyone else in the Kensington family, do you think you stand a chance?"

Nathaniel sneered, "Just wait until I'm done with you."

"Nathaniel, let's see if you can come back alive first." Stanley raised his hand and waved slowly at Nathaniel, "No need to say goodbye. This might be the last time we see each other."

A car stopped behind Nathaniel, and two kidnappers quickly got out, "Are you Nathaniel? Come with us. Your woman is already waiting for you."

Nathaniel saw them coming and didn't plan to hide. He stepped directly into the car.

Stanley stood behind, his smile even more unrestrained, "Give my regards to your boss."

The two kidnappers nodded, quickly got into the car, and the car sped away.

After getting into the car, Nathaniel's eyes were immediately blindfolded with a black cloth. The car drove for a long time, then he boarded a helicopter. He didn't know how long they flew or where they took him.

The cloth was ripped off his eyes, and the blinding light made it hard to see for a moment. Squinting, the first thing he saw was Aurelie, still unconscious on the ground.
