Chapter 277 Watching the Show.

After hanging up the phone, he glanced at his phone and locked the screen, then turned his gaze to the woman beside him.

Their eyes met unexpectedly.

It was more accurate to say that Cecily had been caught staring at him.

Darian raised an eyebrow. "What are you looking at?"

Cecily felt a bit uneasy under his burning gaze and averted her eyes.

"It's nothing. You don't have to accompany me if you're busy, actually."

"But even with all the busyness, nothing is more important than being with you." Darian took her hand and squeezed it in his warm palm.

Cecily's beautiful eyes sparkled.

The car slowly came to a stop at the grand entrance of the Bennett family. Before getting out, Darian answered a phone call and let Cecily go in first.

After a few days, Cecily stepped into the Bennett family once again and still felt the grandeur and solemnity everywhere.

Cecily followed the person who came to pick her up into the lobby of the Bennett family. Just as they took a few steps, a familiar voice came from upstairs. "Why is it you?"

Cecily raised an eyebrow and looked up, her beautiful eyes meeting the gaze of the woman upstairs from a distance.

In that instant their eyes collided, tension filled the air.

Cecily forced a bitter smile. What a coincidence; they met so soon.

After a few seconds of cold confrontation, the woman walked down from upstairs with her chin held high, and she looked Cecily up and down.

Cecily stared at the face that resembled hers.

She felt uncomfortable seeing her own features on someone else's face.

It was as if something of hers had been deliberately taken away.

Eliza crossed her arms and sneered at Cecily, "Who let this impostor in? What's wrong with the guards at the door, letting anyone in? Is it that easy to enter the Bennett family?"

As she spoke, she glared at the person who brought Cecily in.

The man in front lowered his head and simply said, "Miss, I was just following orders."

"Following orders? Whose orders? Bringing such an impostor into the house, are you trying to embarrass me?" Eliza's voice was calm but oppressive.

Upstairs, Evan and Caleb stood there, watching silently. Caleb was about to go down, but Evan stopped him.

Caleb furrowed his brow slightly. "Evan, shouldn't we help her?"

"Such an entertaining show isn't easy to come by. Just watch," Evan said, enjoying the unfolding drama.

Caleb rested his hands on the railing, looking down. "But those old stubborn ones will receive the message soon."

Evan smirked. "Then let's stop them."

Caleb raised an eyebrow, gave a signal to his men, and didn't say anything more.

Meanwhile, Eliza certainly didn't want to see Cecily at the Bennett family. The more time they spent together, the more flaws would be revealed. She still hoped to persuade those old guys to let her into the Bennett Group before the banquet.

But now that Cecily had appeared, those old guys would reconsider the authenticity of their identities and think about various issues.

Although she said she wasn't afraid, her identity was indeed fake. Seeing the real Cecily back, she couldn't help but feel anxious.

So she decisively wouldn't let Cecily stay at the Bennett family.

"Someone, what are you waiting for? Kick this impostor out," Eliza ordered her subordinates to act, assuming the posture of the lady of the Bennett family.

Two of her subordinates stepped forward.

Evan's men didn't say anything to stop them, clearly following Evan's intentions.

Cecily also noticed the two people upstairs.

Her two uncles seemed to have nothing better to do, always enjoying a good show.

Of course, Cecily couldn't let herself be kicked out like this. She spoke up, "Wait."

"I was invited back by Mr. Evan. Regardless, I am a guest. Is it appropriate to drive away a guest?" Cecily said.

Eliza narrowed her eyes, knowing that these two troublemakers were behind this.

Eliza took a step forward, her icy gaze fixed on Cecily. "You say my uncle invited you back, but why would he invite a fake like you?"

Eliza repeatedly emphasized that Cecily was a fake, whether out of guilt or to make others believe it.

Cecily smirked. "He invited me back because he doubted your identity and wanted to confirm it."

Those words struck a nerve with Eliza, and a hint of fierceness flashed across her face.

"It seems you are still not giving up. You tried to impersonate me and become the Bennett family's heiress, and now you've found your way to my uncle, trying to cause trouble. I cannot tolerate you anymore. What are you all waiting for? Kick her out," Eliza commanded.

"Why are you in such a hurry?" Cecily calmly looked at the security guard approaching her.

"Me in a hurry?" Eliza sneered. "Simply wanting to rid my sight of an imposter is being in a hurry?"

"Isn't it? You keep saying I'm an impostor, but it seems like you're the one who's agitated." Cecily smiled lightly. "Are you feeling guilty?"

Eliza's brows furrowed. "I despise you, and that's all. Seeing your face makes me sick."

Cecily chuckled. "You seem to hate my face, but if that's the case, why do you use it? Is your own face that unbearable?"

Eliza was angered by Cecily's words. Her hands, hanging at her sides, clenched tightly, and a hint of malice flashed in her eyes.

"You have a sharp tongue. I wonder if a few slaps would change that."

With that, Eliza raised her hand, ready to strike.

She was quick and skilled, but Cecily sensed her intention and instantly raised her hand, gripping Eliza's wrist.

Their eyes locked fiercely.

Cecily raised an eyebrow. "I used to think my face was quite beautiful, but seeing that expression on your face instantly makes me feel like my features are not that great."

"Stop calling it 'your face,' impostor. This face belongs to me," Eliza retorted.

Cecily let go of her hand. "You're just deceiving yourself."

Eliza snorted and noticed the gazes around her. She realized she had lost her composure. As the lady of the Bennett family, even if she wanted to teach someone a lesson, she couldn't personally do it.

Eliza composed herself, adjusting her sleeves, and regained her calm. She refocused her gaze on Cecily. "You are clever, but you are using your cleverness in the wrong place. If you want to continue using this face to replace my identity, spare yourself the effort. I will never let you succeed."

Cecily stood silently in place.

"Will you leave on your own, or shall I have someone escort you out? The Bennett family is not a place where you can run wild," Eliza said.

"If you want to kick someone out, you should have the qualifications to do so." A clear and deep voice came from behind.
