Chapter 664 Making Cecily a Laughingstock

Darian wanted to help Cecily out, but he knew if she wanted to make it in this company, she had to do it on her own. No one else could really help her.

If she couldn't handle things herself, even if Vivienne handed the company over to her, it wouldn't convince anyone. Sooner or later, someone would take her down.

Thinking about this, Darian said, "Call me if you really need anything, but I believe you can handle it."

Cecily replied, "I believe I can handle it too."

Hearing Cecily's confidence, Darian felt a lot better. After a few more words of advice, he hung up the phone.

Cecily had no idea what tricks Hunter and Keaen had up their sleeves.

After hanging out in her office for a bit, Cecily was staring at her computer when there was a knock on the door. She said, "Come in," and the door opened. Her new secretary, Bronte Langley, walked in. "Miss Watson, Mr. Hunter Bennett says there's a meeting in the conference room."

Cecily got up from her chair. "Alright, let's go."

As she left her office, she bumped into Giselle, who was also heading to the conference room.

Giselle, dressed in another high-end professional outfit, looked both polished and capable. She paused slightly, waiting for Cecily to catch up.

"Cecily, or should I say Mrs. Cecily Bennett today?" Giselle smiled.

Despite the awkwardness from yesterday, Giselle seemed to have moved past it, smiling innocently.

Cecily greeted her politely, and they walked into the conference room together.

The conference room was quiet, with ten minutes left before the meeting, but only a few employees were tidying up the table. None of the senior executives had arrived.

Giselle looked around, her lips curling slightly as if she expected something interesting to happen.

Giselle said, "Cecily, have a seat. Maybe everyone is just busy and hasn't come over yet."

Cecily looked at the nearly empty conference room, not surprised, and without any extra expression, she found a seat and sat down.

Giselle sat next to Cecily, eager to see Cecily's embarrassed expression later.

As time ticked by, with only five minutes left, the door was pushed open.

"Sorry, sorry, I'm late. There's just too much going on in the company," Keaen said.

Keaen walked in briskly, followed by Hunter. They entered one after the other.

The door closed, and no one else came in.

Keaen walked in, puzzled, and spread his hands. "Wasn't there a meeting scheduled? Where did everyone go?"

He even pretended to check his watch. "That's right, it's almost meeting time."

Cecily glanced at them.

Hunter walked over, pulled out his chair, and sat down slowly. "Did everyone get the notice? There are still three minutes until the meeting. Where did everyone go?"

"The notice was sent out. This is really strange. This has never happened before. It's really inappropriate. Our chairman's daughter officially comes to meet everyone, and where is everyone? Are they all busy?" Keaen exchanged a mocking glance with Hunter and looked at Cecily sarcastically.

"Maybe everyone is just busy today. Let's wait a bit longer," Giselle said unhurriedly.

"People were busy before, but they never collectively showed up late for a meeting," Keaen almost laughed.

They knew how many senior executives the company had. Now, in the large conference room, only the four of them were sitting, which indeed looked ridiculous.

The three of them were practically saying that no one welcomed her. After knowing this meeting was for her, they couldn't even be bothered to come.

Cecily smirked, neither angry nor speaking, finding a comfortable position to lean back in her chair, casually twirling a pen in her hand.

The three of them glanced at Cecily. Seeing her remain silent, Keaen raised an eyebrow, unable to hold back. "Cecily, can't you see no one is coming to the meeting?"

Cecily responded, "I see that."

"You asked us to help you call a temporary high-level meeting, and we did. If people don't want to come, you can't blame us," Keaen scrutinized Cecily's expression.

"The time isn't up yet," Cecily said calmly, her tone emotionless.

Keaen glanced at the time on his watch.

One minute left. Did she really think others would all come in this minute?

Ridiculous.

No one would come.

This meeting was meant to make Cecily a laughingstock.
