Chapter 392 Darian, It Hurts

Darian's exceptionally handsome face, originally indifferent, darkened in an instant.

He stood up directly.

Cecily's eyes sharpened, and she raised her hand to push Freya's body away.

Freya did not fall into Darian's arms as she had expected but instead fell to the floor.

The floor was covered with a thick carpet, but judging by the dull thud, it still sounded quite painful for Freya.

Cecily calmly withdrew her hand.

Did they think she didn't exist?

"Freya," Jennifer screamed, rushing to hold the fainted Freya.

"Freya, what's wrong?"

"Freya, are you okay? Cecily, Freya has fainted, and you still pushed her. You're too much."

Cecily chuckled lightly. "Fainting and still managing to find a direction to fall?"

Jennifer bit her molars.

Outside, Bryan held Vivienne tightly, his expression cold and stern. "I don't agree to a divorce. You'll never leave me in this lifetime."

Vivienne tried to push him away but couldn't, so she let him hold her, a look of mockery in her eyes. "Bryan, I'm really tired. Please, let me go."

Bryan clenched his teeth. "I know you're just angry. You're just mad because I hurt Cecily. It won't happen again. Forgive me this once."

Vivienne's lips curled slightly. "Is it just this one thing? Bryan, we've been entangled for almost thirty years. Being with you has exhausted me. I used to be afraid of you because I couldn't fight you. Whenever I made you angry, you would imprison me."

Bryan pressed his lips tightly together. "That was because you wanted to leave me. It was just a small punishment."

The mockery in Vivienne's eyes deepened. "You know very well that I don't love you. I once had someone I loved. Bryan, just because you love me, does that give you the right to imprison me, to possess me, to force me to bear your children? Am I your captive?"

Clearly, she had touched Bryan's sore spot. His expression darkened, and veins throbbed on his forehead.

"You are my wife, Vivienne. I love you, so I will never allow you to leave me. Even in death, you will die with me."

Tears silently rolled down Vivienne's cheeks.

Vivienne closed her eyes deeply, finding it all so laughable.

Bryan had been like this when he was young, and he hadn't changed. He always acted like a tyrant, dictating how things should be.

Yet, every time he made her angry, he would humble himself, apologizing and begging her not to leave.

Everyone used to envy her, saying she didn't know how good she had it, that she had a man who loved her so much, and she still wasn't satisfied.

Yes, he was Bryan, a powerful man who could control everything.

Everyone wanted to marry him.

But Vivienne had once had someone she loved. Why should she be trapped by him just because he loved her? Why should he force her to bear his children?

Why?

Clenching her fists tightly, Vivienne said, "Bryan, we are both too strong-willed. You need someone who will go along with you. That's not me. I have my own pride. I will never be a woman who lives dependent on you."

"I only want you, Vivienne. If you insist on leaving me, I'll lock you up until you die. We will never be apart."

'Madman!' she roared inwardly.

Vivienne's heart trembled violently.

Bryan could do it and she knew that. He was the most ruthless and the best at trapping her in the name of love.

Vivienne felt suffocated.

Bryan gently patted her back, his deep voice low. "Vivienne, I'll give you time to think about this, but you must know that the final result will still be that you can't leave me. Vivienne, don't think about changing it because we are destined to be together. You can't change that in this lifetime."

Every word he said was like the whisper of a demon.

If it weren't for Cecily, Vivienne would have wanted to perish together with him.

"Help, Bryan. Freya has fainted."

Jennifer ran out, shouting.

Bryan was momentarily distracted, and Vivienne took the opportunity to push him away.

"Vivienne."

Jennifer came over, pleading bitterly. "Bryan, please go check on Freya. She fell down the stairs yesterday and only received simple treatment. Today, she's been feeling guilty all day, and now she's fainted."

Vivienne glanced at them coldly, her eyes finally turning icy. "If you want me not to divorce, fine. Send them away. Make sure they never appear in front of me again."

With that, Vivienne withdrew her gaze, not looking at them again, and walked back inside.

Jennifer wiped her tears and said to Bryan, "Bryan, don't make things difficult because of us. We'll leave the villa tomorrow, but right now, Freya has fainted. Can you please help her first?"

Bryan frowned and quickly walked inside.

Behind him, a malicious glint flashed in Jennifer's eyes. 'Vivienne really wants to drive us out. But we won't let her have her way.'

When Jennifer entered, Freya had already been moved to the couch. Cecily was sitting beside her, holding a syringe, ready to inject it into Freya's arm.

Jennifer thought for a moment, and she screamed as she rushed over.

"What are you doing with that needle, Cecily? Even if you despise Freya, you can't just stick a needle in her while she's unconscious."

Cecily looked at Jennifer calmly. "She fainted. I can wake her up. I'm treating her."

"Treating her? Are you sure?" Jennifer guarded Freya, her eyes full of suspicion towards Cecily.

Jennifer wasn't a fool; she certainly didn't believe Cecily genuinely wanted to help them.

Cecily must have some malicious plan.

Cecily's lips curled into a faint smile. "I know a bit of traditional medicine. Don't worry. As long as I inject a certain amount of medication, she'll be fine. It's very effective."

"No need to trouble you. Let's leave this to the doctors."

"My mother just arrived here, and we haven't hired a family doctor yet, right, Mom?"

Vivienne saw through Cecily's intention and nodded in agreement. "Yes, fainting is a serious matter. Cecily knows medicine. Do you really think she would harm your daughter in front of so many people?"

Jennifer swallowed hard. "I don't mean that, but I'm afraid of causing you trouble."

Cecily continued to sterilize the syringe, smiling. "I know you hate causing trouble for others, but her condition can't be delayed. If you don't let me treat her, it could get worse."

Jennifer bit her lip, unsure of what to do, and looked to Bryan for help. "Bryan, I still think it would trouble Vivienne and Cecily. How about..."

"Let her treat Freya."

At this moment, Bryan's eyes were only on Vivienne. Besides, Cecily was indeed a renowned doctor, and she was right.

Hearing Bryan's words, Jennifer had no other reason to object. She could only watch Cecily closely, afraid she might do something harmful.

Cecily raised an eyebrow at Jennifer with a smile, then took Freya's hand. "This condition might be troublesome for other doctors, but it's really not a problem for me. Don't worry. She'll wake up soon."

With that, Cecily held the syringe filled with an unknown substance and prepared to inject it into Freya's arm.

Lying on the couch, Freya's eyelashes fluttered slightly. She was starting to feel scared.

Jennifer tried to stop her again. "Wait, Cecily. Are you sure?"

Cecily nodded sincerely. "I'm sure. I'm not lying to you. I'll start now."

Cecily held Freya's hand firmly, ready to inject.

Freya's whole body began to tremble slightly. Cecily could feel the hand in hers shaking and trying to pull back.

But Cecily wouldn't let her succeed.

Jennifer knew Cecily had bad intentions. This injection would hurt Freya terribly. Just as the needle was about to pierce the skin, Jennifer rushed over in a panic. "No!"

Cecily's body swayed, and she fell softly to the side. Darian reached out to catch her.

Cecily glanced at Darian, a sly look flashing in her eyes.

"Ah, Darian, it hurts. I was just trying to treat Freya. Why did Mrs. Jennifer push me?"
