Chapter 120 Reaping the Consequences

A smirk played on Ophelia' lips, "What is Miss Cecily doing at a hotel so late at night?"

"I really don't know, she didn't tell me," Elysia remarked with seemingly little concern.

Ophelia struggled to maintain her composure, her grin widening.

Although she hadn't found Cecily's child, her plan was still unfolding.

Cecily's fate was sealed for the night.

"Darian, it's not like Miss Cecily to be at a hotel so late, could something have happened?" she mused.

Though Darian remained silent, his expression was indifferent and gloomy, the coldness in his eyes unmistakable.

Meanwhile, Larkin had returned a call. "Boss, the GPS on Miss Cecily's phone is showing at the Grandeur Hotel."

"Daddy," Rowan stepped forward, "Mommy must be in trouble. She wouldn't normally go to a hotel, and if she did, she would answer her phone."

From the side, Ophelia's eyes shifted subtly as she suggested, "Perhaps Miss Cecily is just busy with something."

The insinuation in Ophelia's comment was clear, meeting someone late at night at a hotel and not answering calls - it certainly raised questions.

Ophelia watched Darian intently, the words he had just spoken obviously meant for his ears.

Darian turned to Rowan and said, "Wait here for me, I'll come pick you up once I've found her."

"Okay," Rowan nodded. "Daddy, go quickly."

Every second was critical.

Darian left swiftly, striding away. Ophelia was not one to miss such an intriguing scene, so she promptly followed Darian.

Meanwhile, in a hotel room.

Elysia looked down disdainfully at the unconscious figure before her, a sly grin curving her lips. "Cecily, let's see what you do now."

The door was pushed open and several shabby-looking thugs walked in. It was their first time in such a fancy room, and they scanned the place eagerly until their gaze landed on the woman on the bed. They could hardly wait to pounce.

Elysia glanced at them with contempt, her eyes filled with even more mockery.

Cecily was only fit to be defiled by such people, she thought.

"Alright, get on with it," she directed them. "Tear her clothes off. I need to take some photos."

These thugs couldn't believe their luck; not only were they getting paid, but they also had a beautiful woman to entertain them, so they obeyed Elysia without question. "Yes, yes!"

Elysia set up the video camera, determined to document everything for Cecily.

The thugs were undressing and climbing onto the bed, "Pretty lady, let me give you a kiss," one of them jeered, reaching out towards Cecily.

However, just then, his wrist was gripped tightly.

Before he could react, the woman who had appeared to be unconscious had opened her eyes and grabbed his wrist, followed by the crunch of bone.

A squeal erupted from the thug as he clutched his hand in extreme pain.

Cecily didn't give him a chance to recover. She swiftly raised her knee and delivered a punishing blow to his groin. It was a fast and fluid move that left no room for reaction.

His scream pierced the air as he curled up on the floor clutching his groin, his eyes filled with disbelief as he looked at the woman on the bed.

Cecily was now sitting up, her eyes calm and deadly.

The other three thugs paused at the sight of their companion's agony.

Elysia turned around only to see Cecily standing upright, calmly stretching her arm and looking at her with icy, uncompromising eyes.

Elysia's heart skipped a beat in fear.

"Cecily, how come?" Elysia squinted her eyes, "You weren't knocked out?"

Cecily smoothed out the slight wrinkles in her clothes and spoke calmly, "Wasn't I just playing along with you guys?"

"You!" Elysia stepped back in surprise, then catching herself, she snorted, "I forgot, you studied medicine."

"What does it matter if you wasn't knocked out? Do you think you can escape tonight? What are you guys standing around for? Get her," Elysia shouted at the several thugs, "Whoever takes her down, I'll give them another half a million."

The thugs hadn't realized the gravity of the situation until Elysia mentioned the money and the allure of victory. Greed glinted in their eyes as they charged at Cecily without hesitation.

Cecily tilted her head, "I'd advise you to know your limits."

"Ha, you're just a woman, we're not afraid of you. Go on."

"Yeah, let's see if you can take this."

Watching the men advance on her, a cold smile crossed Cecily's face. As one reached for her, she lifted her leg and kicked fiercely into his abdomen.

Caught off guard, the thug was kicked to the ground. Cecily looked down at him with icy disdain.

The other two thugs' eyes bulged as they watched Cecily effortlessly take one of them down. They could see she was trained, and fear crept into their hearts.

They hesitated, not daring to move forward and kept shrinking back.

Cecily's expression was terrifyingly calm.

Seeing her thugs falter, Elysia clenched her fists. "What are you waiting for? Get her!"

With a burst of courage, the two remaining thugs charged at Cecily. Her leg swept out, leaving them empty-handed.

Cecily glanced down at the two men now kneeling before her.

"We beg for mercy, we won't do it again."

"Really, we won't do this any more."

Cecily's lips curled slightly, "Weren't you so full of energy just now? You dare to take money for this sort of work?"

A "click" sound came from behind.

Elysia, realizing the turn of events, was already trying to flee.

However, Cecily wouldn't give her that chance. In a few quick steps, she reached out and pulled the escaping Elysia back.

Elysia fell to the ground, her facial muscles twitching.

Cecily asked, "Didn't I warn you before, to keep away from me?"

"Cecily, let me out, I'm telling you, if you do anything to me, I'll tell Dad."

Cecily locked eyes with Elysia, the corners of her mouth curling into a taunting smirk. "There's no need to tell him, I'm sure he'll find out on his own very soon."

"What do you mean?" Elysia's earlier bravado had drained away, leaving her face ashen.

She scrambled to her feet, desperation fuelling her attempt to flee the room she knew she couldn't stay in. As Elysia made to dash, Cecily effortlessly lifted her foot and kicked her, sending her tumbling back to the floor.

"Ah!" Elysia's face now was so pale it could not get any paler.

"Did someone say you could run?" taunted Cecily.

"Cecily, just let me go, please!" Elysia pleaded, her voice breaking. "I'm your sister, your little sister! You can't do this to me."

Cecily laughed coldly. "When you teamed up with Ophelia to ruin me, did you think about me being your sister then?"

Tears of fear started streaming down Elysia's face.

Cecily raised her eyebrows teasingly. "Stop crying, honey. That face wasn't doing you any favors to begin with; tears only make it worse."

"What do you really want?" Elysia managed to choke out, her eyes landing on a few unsavory characters in the back who were already tearing off their clothes, a feverish heat rising in her own body.

Cecily looked on with apparent understanding and raised an eyebrow. "This was your setup, sweetie. You get to deal with it."

Standing up, Cecily gave them a long, slow glance before heading for the door.

As Elysia struggled to get up, the ruffians behind her lost all sense of control and piled onto her, crying, "It's so hot, so damn hot."

Elysia screamed in disgust, squirming and struggling. "Ah! Let me go, Cecily! You can't leave. Save me, get me out!"

Cecily let out a scoff, shut the door behind her, sealing off all the commotion within the room.

Leaning against the exterior wall, she dialed a number, pulling at her collar to ventilate some of the heat that was radiating through her body.

Frowning, she recognized that the room had been filled with a scent akin to incense, yet this was no ordinary fragrance; it was an aphrodisiac.

The call connected almost immediately.

"Hello, is this the police? I'd like to report that there's a hotel offering illicit services."

After hanging up, Cecily was ready to leave. Hardly had she taken a step when a hand with distinct knuckles swiftly grasped her slender wrist…
