Chapter 171 Made a Scene at ICU

Cecily thought for a moment and probably knew who could have done something like this.

If that was the case, she could take the blame, no problem!

Darian withdrew his gaze indifferently. "I didn't say that."

"But you think so," Cecily nodded in agreement. When the doctor came out of the ICU, Cecily stood up, and the doctor nodded, indicating that she could go in and accompany her child now.

Cecily didn't say anything to Darian anymore and walked into the ward.

Rowan was just like yesterday, wearing an oxygen mask on his face, his small face pale, with his eyes tightly closed, as if there was no sign of life.

Seeing Rowan like this, Cecily felt all her strength leave her body.

She took several deep breaths but couldn't get rid of the pressure in her chest.

As usual, Cecily sat down beside the little guy, carefully holding his hand, and softly whispered stories to him.

Cecily didn't know how long she had been talking until she choked up and couldn't speak anymore, so she could only bury her head deeply.

Another day and night passed, leaving only a few hours, as the doctor had said.

Rowan's condition did not worsen, but it also did not improve.

The doctor said that the child was currently in a painful state, relying completely on machines to sustain life.

If they continued to remain unconscious, even if they managed to keep their life, they would become a vegetable.

Cecily knew this.

But even if there was a slight possibility of the child waking up, she was unwilling to give up.

Trembling, Cecily whispered, "I'm sorry, Rowan. Forgive Mommy's selfishness... Mommy... won't let you leave."

...

Until the evening, the doctor's expected outcome did not occur, and what Cecily had hoped for did not happen either. Rowan remained as if in eternal sleep.

These past two days, Darian had mostly stayed outside, and he was currently standing by the door.

His grave expression betrayed a hint of exhaustion.

"Mr. Fitzgerald."

Darian glanced at Larkin, who had approached him. "Any news?"

"Yes, we found the organization these assassins belong to, and we also found their higher-ups. However, they are unwilling to cooperate in any way or reveal any information about the person who hired them. Should we use more extreme methods?"

"Proceed." Darian's cold voice lacked any warmth.

"Understood." Larkin was about to leave.

After a moment's thought, Darian furrowed his eyebrows and said, "Have two people remain here to keep an eye on things."

Larkin hesitated for a moment before quickly realizing that Darian intended to go personally. "Yes, I'll go right away."

Larkin assigned two of his most competent bodyguards to guard the entrance of the ward.

However, as soon as Darian left, the person who had been observing from the shadows all along immediately went to report to Ophelia's ward.

Half an hour later.

Tristan and Tabitha stormed in with about ten bodyguards. Each of these bodyguards had a strong build and held sticks, emitting an air that they meant to kill.

Tristan and Tabitha had anger written all over their faces. When they reached the doorstep, they were immediately stopped by two Fitzgerald Family bodyguards.

Seeing their aggressive posture, the two bodyguards were taken aback. "Mr. and Mrs. Flores, Miss Ophelia, what are you doing?"

"What are we doing? Get out of our way! Cecily has been bullying my daughter. We're here to ask her why she would do such a thing," Tabitha's voice was sharp.

Tristan's face was also filled with anger as he said, "Again and again, constantly bullying us. Do they really think the Flores family has no one? You two, get out of our way."

Fitzgerald's Family's bodyguards were not to be taken lightly. Darian ordered them to stay here, and even if they were killed, they would not take a step back.

"Sorry, Mr. Flores, but our boss ordered us to guard this place, and we cannot let you in."

"Go back and tell Darian that it was me who said it. If he has the guts, he can come find me. I guarantee you'll be fine."

The bodyguards showed a hint of helplessness. "Mr. Flores, are you only coming now that our boss has left? If Mr. Fitzgerald gets angry, your safety won't be guaranteed, let alone ours."

It wasn't a coincidence that Tristan showed up right after Darian left. He was afraid of Darian.

The bodyguards were not fools.

Tristan's face grew angrier as they remained stubborn. "Are you going to move or not? If not, don't blame us for getting physical with you."

"Feel free to try. You absolutely won't be able to get past this door today," the bodyguard said firmly.

"You!" Tristan's anger surged, and he clenched his fist, ready to strike. "Get these two idiots away from me."

Both sides quickly became tense.

Cecily, who was sitting in the hospital room, heard the commotion outside and walked out, her gaze icy as she looked at Tabitha and Tristan standing in front.

Tabitha's intense hatred erupted as soon as she saw Cecily. "You bitch, dare to hurt my daughter."

Before Tabitha could raise her hand, the bodyguards forcefully stopped her.

Because she was Mrs. Flores, the bodyguards couldn't do anything and simply pushed her away.

Tabitha gritted her teeth. "Are you all helping this bitch?"

The bodyguards remained silent. They only knew to protect Cecily according to Darian's orders.

Tabitha pointed at Cecily and insulted her. "You bitch, seducing my daughter's fiancé and now inexplicably hurting my daughter. My daughter is lying in the hospital because of you, you shameless whore."

"Your son deserved to die; it's all your fault. He came to pay off your wrongs."

The commotion attracted a lot of doctors and nurses to intervene, and onlookers started to gather.

"Repeat what you just said," Cecily suddenly spoke in a cold, hoarse voice.

Tabitha sneered and curled her lips. "I said your son deserves to die because he had a mother like you causing trouble. He came to pay off..."

Snap.

Tabitha's voice abruptly stopped as her finger, pointing at Cecily's face, was instantly fractured.

At the next moment, Tabitha let out a piercing scream from her mouth.

Cecily was now feeling fragile and desolate, but upon hearing Tabitha's words, her underlying anger immediately erupted. "Your daughter shamelessly climbed into my husband's bed, framed me, and, after five years, designed to have my son admitted to the intensive care unit. How dare you call me a whore? How dare you say she is innocent? How dare you curse my son? Who the hell do you think you are?"

"Ah!" Tabitha screamed in pain, her face turning pale, sending chills down the spines of the people around her.

Everyone looked at the woman in the middle, whose face was ice-cold, their eyes filled with fear.

Tabitha could only continue screaming in pain, her body twisting in the direction Cecily bent her fingers.

"Cecily!" Tristan shouted angrily, "What are you all standing there for? Attack!"
