Chapter 572: The Whole Truth, The Death of Two Villains 1
Bella, chillin' in the audience, watched this whole wedding mess go down and just shook her head, totally over it. She got up and dipped out, not wanting to see any more of this train wreck.
Percy, starting to get a clue but not wanting to face it, stepped up and grabbed Cecily. "What the heck, Cecily? What are you doing? Cut the crap and finish the wedding."
Cecily yanked her hand away, "Uncle Percy, I just asked if we should keep going, and you said no."
"That was because..." Percy was at a loss for words.
"Because you were embarrassed, I get it. And I know why you wanted Evander to marry me." Cecily smirked, dripping with sarcasm.
The big screen flickered, and suddenly, a chat log popped up.
The room went nuts.
Everyone stood up, craning their necks to see.
People were whispering, "What is that?"
"Looks like some chat logs."
"Chat logs? Seriously?"
Josep, who hadn't been booted out yet, felt his heart drop when he saw the screen. His mind went blank.
Percy turned around and saw it too.
The screen kept rolling, page after page.
Not only were there chat logs of Josep plotting against Patrick, but also transfer records with his name all over them, and even photos of Josep's goons messing with Patrick's car.
Page after page, it was undeniable.
"What the heck? Someone's plotting to hurt someone!" a guy shouted. "Isn't Patrick Josep's brother, Darian's dad, and the former head of the Fitzgerald family?"
"Yeah, but he died in a car crash years ago," another chimed in. "Look at these transfer records, they show Josep paid people to mess with Patrick's car."
Even though it was over a decade ago, everyone remembered Patrick's car accident, which was still fresh in their minds.
Everyone had thought it was just a freak accident.
But now, seeing this evidence, it was clear it wasn't.
It was totally man-made, and Josep was behind it.
"This is insane. Josep killed Patrick."
"Oh my God, killing your own brother, that's messed up."
"That car crash was brutal. Patrick was trapped and burned alive. I can't believe Josep did that." The crowd buzzed.
Amidst the chaos, all eyes were on Darian, who stood tall and intimidating.
Darian's vibe was ice-cold, his face dangerously calm as he stared down Josep.
Everyone was on edge, thinking Darian might take Josep out right then and there.
"No, this isn't real. Don't believe it!" Josep yelled, still trying to hide the truth.
Victor and Aurelia, who were with Josep, were freaking out too, knowing how serious this was with so many people watching.
Aurelia grabbed Josep's arm, panicking, "Dad, what do we do?"
Josep shook off Aurelia's hand and stumbled forward, grabbing a mic and yelling, "This is all BS! Someone's trying to frame me. Don't buy it!"
Cecily just sneered inside.
Fake? Yeah, right. This guy still wouldn't own up and wanted to keep lying.
No way they were letting him off the hook.
Darian gave Larkin a nod, and Larkin went to bring in Sawyer. Sawyer, looking like he'd been through hell, walked in with white hair, a tired and beaten-down face, hunched over and limping, nothing like the strong presence he used to have with Owen.
Sawyer made his way to the stage. Under Percy's shocked and scared look and Josep's panicked eyes, he glanced at them and started talking, "I'm Sawyer, the former butler for Owen. I swear, all this evidence is legit! Patrick's death wasn't an accident; Josep killed him! And Owen? Josep did him in too. Owen got this evidence and met with Cecily first, giving her his shares. He wanted her to keep it quiet 'cause he didn't want to lose Josep, his only son. After Cecily left, Owen found Josep. He wanted to give Josep a chance to change, but Josep didn't care. He made Owen faint with anger. And instead of getting help, Josep kept Owen at home."
"Shut up!" Josep lost it, screaming at Sawyer.
Sawyer's voice got cut off.
Darian's guys stepped in and pinned Josep down. Cecily looked at Sawyer and said, "Keep going."
Sawyer sighed and continued, "So Owen didn't get help in time and died after being sent to the hospital. All of this was Josep's doing 'cause he always thought Owen favored Patrick and Darian, so he hated Owen."
"I told you to shut up, shut up!" Josep struggled on the ground, veins popping on his forehead.
"He did more than that. Even the car accident six years ago that put Darian in a coma for two months was his doing. He just didn't expect Darian to survive, thanks to Cecily donating her kidney and taking care of him non-stop, which brought him back. Everything I'm saying is true. I was the only one with Owen on the day it happened. I saw it all. And Darian's mom, Sandra, she saw Owen faint and got captured by Josep. No one knows what happened to her. That's all I got." Sawyer stepped back a few steps.
Percy was still in a daze, watching Sawyer finish.
Sawyer was his guy, and he was the only one with this evidence.
Now that everything was out, he had no leverage over Josep.
And Josep would definitely think it was all his doing.
Looking at Josep, who was losing it, Percy felt like he was done for!
