Chapter 213 Cecily will be heartbroken

Sandra glanced at Tabitha and Tristan, wiping the tears from the corners of her eyes. "Bring the two young masters upstairs," she ordered.

Griffin and Rowan went upstairs, and Sandra's expression turned completely cold as she forcefully pushed away Tabitha, who was holding her hand.

Before knowing that the children were descendants of the Fitzgerald Family, she already found Ophelia's actions too malicious. Now that she knew these two children were descendants of the Fitzgerald Family, her disgust toward Ophelia deepened even more.

She had nearly harmed her grandson to death!

This malicious woman!

She was simply unforgivable.

This time, it was even more to get rid of Cecily, risking plunging Darian into danger.

"Get out," Sandra pointed to the door, furious.

"Your daughter harmed my grandson, and now she almost harmed my son. How dare you mention her in front of me? Tabitha, if you can't control your daughter, someone else will."

"No, Sandra, please listen to me. Ophelia is just young and impulsive. She never intended to harm Darian. She only wanted to retaliate against Cecily, really. Can't you forgive her for not committing a major offense? Please, for the sake of our long-standing relationship, spare her."

Tabitha sobbed uncontrollably, pleading.

Ophelia was forcibly taken away by Darian, unaware of the torment awaiting her.

"You care for your daughter, and I care for my son and grandson. Get out! Get out!" Sandra shouted directly.

Tabitha continued to plead.

Not seeing Owen, Tristan knew that saying anything now would be futile.

Just then, they saw Darian walking out, his handsome face covered in frost, intimidating anyone who looked at him. Tristan was about to speak but was silenced by a single glance from Darian.

"Throw them out," Darian ordered coldly as he walked by.

The bodyguard of the Fitzgerald family immediately stepped forward, and Tabitha retreated into her husband's arms, covering her mouth as she wept.

She still looked at Sandra with pleading eyes, but Sandra turned away coldly, leaving no room for negotiation.

The Fitzgerald family's security escorted the two out.

Tabitha clung to her husband's clothes, crying, "What should we do? How can we save Ophelia?"

Tristan, full of worry, wondered what he could do in this situation. He was also concerned that this matter might jeopardize the company.

"We can only try to talk to Owen later. There's no use in staying here and causing a scene," he said.

The two left without achieving anything.

Darian was about to take people to the Lockwood Family, but Larkin saw the latest news online.

"Mr. Fitzgerald, Landon's villa caught fire last night, and he was taken to the hospital."

Larkin couldn't help but sigh.

It seemed too coincidental to be a natural occurrence.

But who else would target Landon? And was Landon out of his mind? Cecily hadn't provoked him, yet he had to meddle.

Looking at the images in the news, the fierceness of the fire last night was evident.

Darian glanced at the pictures, his eyes calm, as if everything was as it should be.

"Understood."

"Mr. Fitzgerald, where are we going now?"

"To the seaside."

"Mr. Fitzgerald..." Darian had been searching at sea for three full days without rest. His body couldn't bear it much longer.

"You should rest for the night and continue tomorrow. If you collapse, what will happen when Mrs. Fitagerald returns? And the two young masters, if you don't stay at home with them, they might figure out what happened to their mother," Larkin advised.

Mentioning the two children, Darian's eyes finally showed a hint of emotion.

Seeing this, Larkin continued, "The servants say that the situation of the two young masters isn't good. Mr. Fitzgerald Sr. is sick, and Ms. Sandra is in tears all day. Mr. Fitzgerald, please stay at home for the night."

Darian's heart was moved. He knew better than anyone that if Cecily wasn't found in three days, she had either been rescued or the worst had happened.

His continued search at sea was just his obsession taking hold.

Darian rubbed his forehead. "Tell the people at sea to search the surrounding areas, the coast, the boats that have been out to sea these days, including the nearby hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies. Check them all."

"Yes, I'll give the orders."

...

In the late night, in the living room, Darian and the two children sat in silence, looking as if they had lost their souls, a sense of desolation filling the air for no reason.

The two little ones held their phones, checking them every now and then, afraid of missing any news from Cecily.

Darian had not slept for several nights, his eyes bloodshot, but he showed no signs of sleepiness. His sleep disorder had become more severe than before.

"Dong..." The clock struck twelve, the sound echoing in the silent house.

Darian's gaze slowly moved to the two little ones, his voice hoarse as he said, "It's time to sleep. You should go to bed first."

Griffin looked at his phone, disappointed that he didn't receive a call from his mommy today...

Rowan lowered his eyes, unable to hide the sadness in his heart. It seemed like he had lost his mommy again...

Griffin looked up at Darian and asked, "Will mommy come back tomorrow?"

Darian's throat tightened, a deep pain flashing in his dark eyes, but he forced himself to speak, "I can't be sure. We haven't found her yet."

Rowan slowly moved his neck and raised his head. "What if we can't find her?" he asked.

"If we can't find her, you'll have to live with me," Darian replied.

"Does that mean we won't have a mommy?" Rowan inquired.

"Yes," Darian confirmed.

Sandra, who had been pushed out of the elevator, was startled by Darian's words.

She couldn't understand why he would say such things to the children. It was cruel to tell them they might not have a mother.

But Darian continued, "We can't be sure if she's still alive."

He tightened his grip, his voice heavy. "Of course, she might be somewhere safe and sound. She loves you both. If she ever comes back, she would want to see you happy."

"Do you remember what she told you? To eat well and sleep well. If you continue like this, she would be heartbroken."

As Darian spoke, tears welled up in the children's eyes.

Griffin wiped his tears, sobbing.

On the other hand, Rowan showed no emotion, holding Griffin's hand as they walked upstairs.

Darian lowered his gaze, a sense of desolation in his eyes. He could console the children but not himself.

He didn't want to tell the children lies such as their mother would return tomorrow, but he kept deceiving himself with those lies.

"You should rest, too. Mommy would be worried if she saw you like this," Rowan said, stopping in front of Darian.

Darian forced a smile. "Would she?"
