Chapter 236 Darian and Ophelia seemed to have just finished something.
Darian didn't even glance at it and completely ignored the cup of coffee.
Ophelia walked outside, feeling a constant nervousness inside her, but her burning hatred made her willing to seek revenge at any cost.
They forced her into this.
By the time Darian finished handling his work, it was already past nine o'clock. Cecily sent him a message half an hour ago, saying that she would come over and it would probably take her over an hour.
Darian dialed a phone number. The other side rang seven or eight times before finally being answered.
Cecily's usual indifferent voice came through, "Hello."
"Are you still at the office? I'll come pick you up."
"No need to pick me up, I drove myself. Otherwise, I would have to leave my car at the company, which would be troublesome tomorrow." Cecily refused, "I'm almost done with everything, and if you come to pick me up, I'll have to wait for you instead, so you don't need to come."
She refused decisively, leaving no room for negotiation.
Darian raised an eyebrow and smiled. He closed the file in front of him and walked toward the door. "All right, drive safely."
"I got it."
Cecily hung up the phone directly.
Darian looked at his phone, a hint of a smile in his blue eyes, and returned to the room before entering the bathroom.
Ophelia didn't leave downstairs. Hearing the faint sound of a door being opened upstairs, she made up her mind and went upstairs. She looked around cautiously and realized that no one noticed her. Ophelia carefully entered Darian's room.
However, all of this was actually seen by Mr. Fitzgerald.
Having lived for most of his life, Mr. Fitzgerald saw through Ophelia's intentions at a glance.
Sawyer frowned beside him. "Mr. Fitzgerald, should we have someone escort her out?"
Ophelia was indeed not a peaceful person.
Just after receiving such a harsh lesson, she still dared to provoke Darian. She really didn't know any better.
"No need," Mr. Fitzgerald raised his hand. "Cecily should be coming soon, right?"
"Today is the day for Darian's treatment. Cecily should be arriving soon."
Mr. Fitzgerald narrowed his eyes. "Yes, there's no need to pay attention to Ophelia. It's just some trivial matters that won't cause any trouble."
He wouldn't force Darian to marry Ophelia anymore. Mr. Fitzgerald had noticed many things about Ophelia that made her seem unsuitable for the Fitzgerald Family. Like the incident with the banquet hall, it was clearly a small matter, but she insisted on causing trouble.
It was simply foolish, and it brought shame to the Fitzgerald Family.
But Mr. Fitzgerald didn't mind if Darian had an extra woman. Being in Darian's position, besides money and power, he would never lack women. Having one more Ophelia didn't matter to him. In fact, he would prefer having more women around him as long as he didn't get attached. What difference did it make?
They were all just playthings to him.
Having an Ophelia to create distance between them, Mr. Fitzgerald liked it.
So, he allowed Ophelia to come in and allowed her to stay.
Cecily finished handling company matters and came over. The servants knew Cecily was coming and stood at the door to welcome her. "Cecily, you're here."
Cecily nodded and changed her shoes as she walked inside. "Yes, where is Darian and the children?"
"Darian is upstairs, and the two little Darain’s probably went to sleep already. Cecily, have you had dinner?" the servant asked with concern.
"I already ate."
"In that case, let me take you upstairs," the servant walked ahead. "Please."
Cecily followed the servant up the stairs. She happened to meet Sandra, who came out of the room. When Sandra saw Cecily, her expression softened a bit. "Cecily, you're here."
"Mrs. Sandra," Cecily politely greeted her.
"Darian should be in his room now. You can go in. By the way, it's already late today, so don't go back. I'll have someone prepare a guest room for you. You can stay at Fitzgerald's Family tonight."
"No need, I drove here, it's convenient for me to go back," Cecily smiled and refused.
Sandra knew that Cecily always had a good sense of propriety, so she didn't insist. "Then let Darian give you a ride later."
After some pleasantries, Cecily said nothing else. She walked toward the room and lightly knocked on the door.
No one opened the door.
The door was slightly ajar.
Cecily pushed it with her medicine box, and a faint fragrance hit her nose.
Cecily frowned.
This was the scent of a flirtatious perfume.
This scent felt somewhat familiar to Cecily.
She was sensitive to the smells of herbs and spices, and this scent was the same as the one Elysia used on her in the hotel room that day.
So, as soon as Cecily smelled a bit of it, she recognized it. The aphrodisiac effect of this perfume was exceptionally strong. That day, she only stayed in the room for a few minutes, but her body felt hot and uncomfortable.
It's hard for someone with slightly weaker self-control to maintain their sanity.
Cecily suddenly had a bad guess.
She pushed the door open a bit more, and her expression froze.
The person inside seemed to have tidied up already. Ophelia sat on the bed, slowly putting on her bra. When she saw Cecily, she instinctively covered her chest, got off the bed, picked up her clothes from the floor, and raised an eyebrow provocatively toward Cecily.
Ophelia had a good figure, and the black lace barely concealed her ample bosom.
She put on her clothes one by one without caring about being watched.
And there was the sound of running water in the bathroom. Darian was taking a shower.
They looked like they had just finished having sex!
The servants standing by were staring wide-eyed, feeling very embarrassed.
